    • 90' And that's full time at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland make it to 30 points here, and Stoke are still without an away win in the league.
    • 90+4' 2-0 Sunderland! Kenwyne Jones shows great strength in forcing himself into the box, and squares the ball to David Healy, who finishes smartly past Sorensen.
    • 90' Four minutes of added time are to be played.
    • 89' It's snowing in Sunderland and Healy looks to be operating in midfield as Sunderland look to be happy with just the one goal.
    • 84' Sunderland are keeping possession well again. Cisse comes off, and David Healy replaces him.
    • 83' Stoke try to attack through Beattie, but they look a spent force here.
    • 80' Daryl Murphy comes as the impressive Andy Reid makes way.
    • 80' Bardsley is booked for time wasting.
    • 79' Sunderland should have been two up there after Cisse misses from a good position inside the box. He could have squared it to Jones too, but instead fluffed his lines.
    • 78' And that's it! Sunderland's pressure pays off. They've been whipping balls into the box, and this time Jones beats Sorensen at the back post from Reid's cross. It was a bit of a soft goal there really, as the header was hardly hit with power and Sorensen could have saved it quite easily. Sunderland don't care though!
    • 75' Rob Styles tells Sorensen to hurry up as he takes his time taking a goal kick. Faye looks to be carrying an injury, but there's no subs left!
    • 71' It's all Sunderland now, and Carlos Edwards goes even closer to Sorensen's right post with a volley from distance, but again it's narrowly wide.
    • 71' Cisse fires narrowly wide! He picks the ball up unmarked on the far post, but hammers a right foot volley narrowly wide of Sorensen's right post.
    • 69' Malbranque goes off, and Carlos Edwards replaces him.
    • 63' Collins is booked for his part in the incident, and from the free kick Glenn Whelan delivers the ball and the ball is knocked down and falls to Camara WHO IS 7 YARDS OUT and smashes his shot miles into the air. An awful, awful miss.
    • 63' Stoke win a free kick, but Rob Styles has shown Etherington a straight red for a kicking out at Danny Collins in an off the ball incident. Tony Pulis is LIVID.
    • 63' Etherington sent off!!
    • 59' Stoke have 10 men behind the ball now, and Sunderland have all the possession. Stoke are looking to play on the break here as Sunderland commit more men forward but, will surely tire as they cannot bring on anyone else.
    • 57' It's all Sunderland now and Beattie looks to have dropped into midfield to try and help out. Sunderland pass the ball nicely across the midfield, but again lose out when they get into the attacking third.
    • 55' Diao was booked for a foul on Andy Reid which led to the previous free kick.
    • 55' Sunderland win a free kick to the left hand side of the 16-yard box. Reid crosses in but Stoke flick the ball on and out for a throw in.
    • 53' Malbranque whips in another cross after cutting in from the right, and this time Sorensen claims the ball properly, ahead of Jones.
    • 53' Etherington swings the corner in, but strays offside when the ball is cleared and then played back out to him. This is getting quite scrappy now.
    • 52' Sunderland again try the long ball route, but it's just not working. Stoke have a big back line and they comfortably deal with any balls in the air. Stoke play it deep into the Sunderland half and force a corner.
    • 49' Cresswell breaks from midfield and strolls past one, looks up and sees space ahead of him so just keeps going across the edge of the box. He's eventually stopped by a tackle from Collins, but that was slack defending there from Sunderland.
    • 46' Sunderland start well, and Malbranque flights in a ball after cutting in from the right, which evades everyone and Sorensen scrambles the ball away with his feet.
    • 45 And we're back underway here at the Stadium of Light.
    • 45+4 Roby Styles blows the whistle and that's half time here with the score still at 0-0. Stoke have used all their subs after three injuries within the first 30 minutes. Sunderland should have had a penalty and Stoke should be down to 10-men after Pugh blocked the ball with his hand after Malbranque's header. It was a great save - if Pugh had been a keeper - but Malbranque really should have scored.
    • 45+2' Richardson has a go from long range, but shanks his shot terribly wide. Abysmal effort.
    • 45' The ball goes straight back up the other end and Beattie does well to control the ball before he's pressured off the ball and Sunderland clear. 4 minutes of added time to be had.
    • 44' Andy Reid loops a ball into the box at the second time of asking from a corner, and Collins heads the ball over Sorensen, but Kelly is there to head clear from the far post.
    • 43' Both teams seem to hitting the ball longer and longer, and this time Cisse can't reach a long punt and it's a goal kick. Beattie has been doing well to get onto the end of Stoke's long balls but Sunderland look better when they try to play it on the deck.
    • 38' Danny Pugh should be off here! Some great strength from Andy Reid in the box creates him get a bit of space and he dinks the ball over Sorensen and it's Malbranque with the header from a yard! Pugh blatantly blocks it with his hand and clears it, but the referee waves play on! Stoke should be down to 10 men, and that should have been a penalty.
    • 32' It's end to end stuff now. Stoke are pressing Sunderland all over the field and force them into making an error. Stoke win a throw in deep into Sunderland's half and it's Sonko who steps up to throw this. He launches the ball high into the box, but Fulop catches it. The ball goes straight down the other end with Bardsley, and he battles hard on the corner flag before putting a tame cross into the near post.
    • 30' Fuller goes off with medics holding his arm up. He looks in absolute agony! New boy Henri Camara comes on for his debut, and Stoke have now used all of their substitutions!
    • 30' Things go from bad to worse here for Stoke. Fuller went down in the box after a good challenge from Collins and stayed down. Paramedics are on the field tending to him and it looks like he's dislocated his shoulder. He's screaming in agony! Doesn't look good.
    • 25' Shawcross has to come off here, and it's Sonko who replaces him.
    • 22' Sunderland look to take advantage of Shawcross's injury by pumping balls into the box. So far Stoke have dealt really well with the balls in the air, and from an Andy Reid free kick are able to clear the ball without a Sunderland player challenging for it.
    • 20' Andy Reid plays a through ball into the path of Cisse but Shawcross is there to make sure he doesn't make it and shepherds the ball to Sorensen. Shawcross pulls up after his run here, and it doesn't look good. He's hobbling about a bit here. Surely not another injury for Stoke so early on?
    • 18' Danny Pugh comes on to replace the injured Andy Wilkinson.
    • 17' Richardson lets fly from 30 yards but Shawcross gets across to block well. Sunderland are starting to take control here.
    • 16' Looks like those long throws have taken it out of Andy Wilkinson. Danny Pugh is warming up on the touchline and Andy Wilkinson's throws are falling some way short of the six-yard box.
    • 14' Sunderland win a corner and it's taken short to Richardson who fizzes the ball across the six-yard box. Everyone misses the ball but Collins is there following up at the far post! He aims a diving header at the ball but puts the ball wide. Really should have done better there.
    • 10' From the resulting free kick Cresswell attempts an overhead kick and fires narrowly wide! That was a good chance there and some good work from Cresswell.
    • 9' Stoke break well down the left with Etherington feeding Ricardo Fuller who wins a free kick after a foul from Ferdinand.
    • 7' Sunderland look to pass the ball around and find Kenwyne Jones in good space. He cuts inside from the right and hits a hard left foot shot, but it's too close to Sorensen who gets a good hand to the shot, and Cisse fires high and wide with his left foot from the rebound.
    • 4' Stoke are punting the ball long aiming for Beattie's head. So far no luck as both Fulop and Ferdinand are on hand to clear on separate occasions.
    • 2' Stoke have had a couple of throw ins in promising positions, unfortunately they're without Rory Delap so it's Andy Wilkinson who's launching the ball from deep.
    • 1' And we're off!
    • - TEAM NEWS STOKE: Former Sunderland favourite Thomas Sorensen will be looking to help Stoke in their quest for their first away win in the league this season. Stoke are without the long throws of the suspended Rory Delap, and Stephen Kelly makes his debut at left back.
    • - TEAM NEWS SUNDERLAND: Sunderland welcome back the dangerous partnership of Kenwyne Jones and Djibril Cisse and will be looking for them to provide the goal threat, whilst Marton Fulop returns in place of Craig Gordon. Anton Ferdinand has shaken off a hip problem so new signings Tal Ben Haim and Callum Davenport will be looking to make their debuts from the bench.
    • - Welcome to live updates of today's game from the Stadium of Light as Sunderland welcome Stoke in a big six-pointer with both teams looking to move away from the relegation zone.
