    Time:90'
    • Sunderland
    • Tottenham Hotspur
    • - Stick with us for the afternoon's second FA Cup sixth round tie, kicking off at 17:15. Fulham v Manchester United
    • 90+5' There's the final whistle - it ends one apiece, and both sides edge a little closer to Premier League safety.
    • 90+3' Neither side looks likely to muster a winner and this is heading for a draw - probably the right result.
    • 90+1' Four minutes of stoppage time will be played.
    • 89' GOAL!!! ROBBIE KEANE!!! Tottenham counter-attack from the corner and Bent crosses low from the right to Keane, who volleys superbly, low inside the right-hand post and Fulop cannot keep it out. Spurs on terms!
    • 89' Edwards delivers a corner towards a largely empty Tottenham box. Jones appears to be manhandled to the ground but there is no foul!
    • 87' Keane is harshly adjudged to have fouled and Sunderland have a chance to ease the pressure with time ticking down.
    • 86' Tottenham corner swung in from the left... and wasted. Nobody there to attack it.
    • 84' A glut of substitutions here - Spurs bring on Pavlyuchenko for Corluka; Sunderland introduce Edwards and Leadbitter for Richardson and Reid.
    • 82' Bentley delivers a superb free-kick into the Sunderland box, but they deal with it well - Bentley's set-pieces are much better than Modric's, it must be said.
    • 81' HUDDLESTONE!! Heads straight at Fulop from 10 yards!
    • 79' Spurs still have Pavlyuchenko on the bench - will Redknapp throw him on for the final 10 minutes?
    • 77' Half chance for Robbie Keane, who latches on to a long ball, but his instinctive toe-poke flies high over the bar.
    • 75' Huge penalty shout from Tottenham! Surely Bardsley handled? But referee Dowd says no and Modric blasts his follow-up over the bar.
    • 73' Off comes Cisse - disappointed to have missed out on a couple more offsides - and Daryl Murphy comes on in his stead.
    • 71' If Spurs are to save this, they won't do it by tackling - David Bentley on for Wilson Palacios.
    • 70' Palacios wastes it, hitting a low, hopeful shot well wide from 25 yards.
    • 68' Bardsley looks to test Gomes with a cross from the right, but the Brazilian makes a decebt catch.
    • 66' Cisse heads goalwards from right in front of goal, but King gets just enough on it and the ball goes out for a corner!
    • 63' Redknapp has seen enough from Jermaine Jenas and hauls him off, with Tom Huddlestone going on in his place.
    • 62' HOW DOES HE MISS THAT?? Reid plays a low cross in front of goal that beats Gomes but Cisse cannot turn the ball into the empty net!
    • 60' Bent again! This time it is from the right side of the box, but he drags his shot just wide of the far post.
    • 59' A comically awful backpass plays Darren Bent clean through... he shoots miles over left-footed from 12 yards. A hopeless passage of play!
    • 58' Malbranque cuts inside from the Sunderland right and ties Chimbonda in knots with a flurry of feints and stepovers, but he loses his balance before he can get a shot away.
    • 57' Another terrible cross from Lennon with Spurs coming away on the break. So frustrating.
    • 55' It is a familiar complaint, but Aaron Lennon's poor final ball really does prevent him from being a top-class player. For the umpteenth time today he lands a cross right on Danny Collins's forehead.
    • 53' Joe Jordan is having an angry word in Phil Dowd's shell-like. Harry Redknapp always gets Jordan to do that kind of thing - he doesn't like to get his hands dirty.
    • 51' Bardsley knocks a hopeful long ball into the Tottenham box and Ledley King heads it simply away. Poor delivery.
    • 49' A smidgin of confusion at the back from Sunderland as Fulop goes up to catch a cross but Jones pops up in front of him and heads it away. No harm done, though.
    • 48' Four offsides for Cisse! He is now just two away from the unofficial record!
    • 47' So nearly a lightning start to both halves from Sunderland as Cisse races down the right channel and places his low shot into the side-netting!
    • 46' The second half is under way - no personnel changes from either manager.
    • 45' Half-time at the Stadium of Light, and Sunderland lead courtesy of that early Kieran Richardson goal. Apart from that, it has been fairly uninspiring stuff.
    • 45+2' Yet another yellow card, this time to Phil Bardsley for a late challenge on Modric. That's five bookings.
    • 45+2' Andy Reid chases a through ball into the Spurs box but Gomes just gets there first!
    • 45+1' Two minutes of added time will be played.
    • 44' There's three. Cisse is targeted for a long ball but has strayed offside.
    • 43' Ricky Sbragia comes to the edge of his technical area to bark instructions at somebody, although it is not clear who.
    • 41' There now follows an extended and interminable passage of play on the Sunderland right, as players from both sides complete no more than two short passes before conceding a throw.
    • 38' Ooooh Gomes! He tries to catch a cross from off the top of King's head and drops it. The ball does not fall to an attacker and the error-prone goalkeeper lives to fight another 10 minutes or so.
    • 37' Woodgate loses possession, then chases back to make a clumsy tackle on Malbranque, whom he trips up. Yellow card.
    • 36' Reid barrels into the Tottenham box but then trips over the ball - he is yet another Spurs player in this Sunderland team.
    • 35' KING GOES CLOSE!! The free-kick is deflected into his path, and Fulop does extremely well to block the Tottenham defender's close-range shot!
    • 34' Another foul from Richardson - this time on Lennon - prompts referee Dowd to show the game's second yellow card.
    • 32' BENT!! He shoots from the free-kick and it's better than you'd think - it is on target but Fulop makes a straightforward catch.
    • 31' Palacios attempts a 'roulette' and is stopped in his tracks by Richardson. It look pretty funny as the Honduran goes flying, and it presents Tottenham with the kind of free-kick for which they bought, er, Gareth Bale.
    • 30' Cisse and King chase a long ball and the Tottenham man defends it brilliantly, lifting the ball over Cisse's head and nodding it to Chimbonda.
    • 28' Danny Collins jumps for a header, but goes through Robbie Keane first and that is a clear foul. He even has the gall to dispute the ref's decision.
    • 26' Tottenham are seeing plenty of the ball, as you might expect, and they are starting to dominate.
    • 24' Jenas plays a superb ball over the top for Bent, but the striker has strayed needlessly offside.
    • 22' A typically Balkan challenge by Corluka, as he clips Reid from behind and is duly booked.
    • 20' Richardson impedes Keane and Modric will deliver a free-kick into the Sunderland area... it's rubbish, and the hosts head it to safety.
    • 19' Well, that was quick. No sooner said than done. As you can see from the timeline, Sunderland are winning.
    • 18' Apologies for the lack of a timeline on this page. Our crack team of German engineers are working on the problem. Well, OK, that's not true, but it should be fixed soon.
    • 16' Uncertain defending from Collins for Sunderland and McCartney is forced to introduce the ball to row Z where all the pigeon droppings can be found.
    • 15' Malbranque skips inside from the right and plays it low to the feet of Jones at the edge of the Spurs box. He cannot get his shot away and the visitors escape.
    • 13' Cisse offside again. Last time I covered a Sunderland game he managed six. He is off to a strong start with two so far in this one.
    • 12' Lennon skips past McCartney's challenge and crosses onto the head of Keane, but his header is very weak and it bounces twice before reaching Fulop. Excellent by Lennon, though.
    • 10' BENT!! He tries to flash his header goalwards from six yards but does not get enough purchase on the ball!
    • 9' Jenas looks for Bent in the Sunderland area, but Fulop is out well to claim the ball.
    • 7' I make that Phil Bardsley's fifth throw-in in as many minutes. The only reason I mention that is to emphasise that everything is going down the Sunderland right.
    • 6' It's all Sunderland at the moment and the visitors are completely rattled. Cisse dives ludicrously into Chimbonda and referee Dowd rightly says he dived. So why no yellow card?
    • 4' Spurs were caught napping there as Richardson broke from midfield - and some fans had still not taken their seats when the ball foul the net after two and a half minutes!
    • 3' GOAL!!!! Kieran Richardson gets Sunderland off to a flier! He bursts into the box from midfield and places a delicate finish into the bottom-left corner with just enough power!
    • 3' Cisse's go-faster stripe is only going to make him more visible to linesmen, and he is caught offside for the first time today.
    • 1' And we're away! It's a breezy sort of day in the North-East butthe pitch is good and we have two teams who like to play decent football.
    • - Play is about to get under way as the teams form competing huddles. Tottenham, in their sky blue away kit, will kick off.
    • - The big news is that Djibril Cisse has had the red stripe on the top of his head repainted.
    • - Neither side is clear of relegation yet and a win will do wonders for their survival hopes. There is no Anton Ferdinand for the home side while Teemu Tainio also misses out; Spurs welcome Ledley King back but are forced to play Pascal Chimbonda at left-back with no Benoit Assou-Ekotto or Gareth Bale. Darren Bent is preferred to Roman Pavlyuchenko up front. Premier League table

  1. Well , I cant understand what for "Hotspurs" have bought Roman Pavluchenko. If let him play for 6 minutes. Its necessary to allow him to reveal ,but instead of to "pickle" talent on a bench.......its a crime. Dogs in the manger.
