    Time:90'
    • West Bromwich
    • Manchester City
    • 90'+4 Bednar booked for taking his shirt off in celebration - but he won't give a hoot because the whistle goes and West Brom have done it!!!! A first win in 12 games for the Baggies!
    • 90'+3 GOAL FOR WEST BROM!!!! IT'S A WINNER FROM BEDNAR!!!! Fabulous cross from Meite flies in perfectly from the right for Bednar, who loses Micah Richards and heads home past Hart! A beautiful goal, and surely now the Baggies will win!!!
    • 90'+1 Craig Beattie runs up for West Brom but is offside, City come up the other end looking for a winner and get a corner, but to no avail.
    • 88' SHOULD HAVE BEEN A WINNER!!! West Brom break up the left and it seems that Bednar and Koren must link up to score with just Bednar and a single defender in the box... but the final pass is poor, and easily cut out.
    • 86' The goal was a bitter, unlucky blow for the home side, by they come back gamely with replacement Chris Brunt - on for Greening - looking lively and taking a shot early on. It shies wide.
    • 84' A GOAL FOR CITY!! An incredible strike there from Caicedo, who picks up the ball in the box, dances over it and then back- heels with all his might... it picks up the slightest deflection and rolls past Carson into the net! Incredible stuff!!
    • 81' Time and again the visitors push forward, but the West Brom defence holds solid. A free kick is crossed in by Kompany but is well cleared, and moments later a diving header from Vassell flies wide - but the striker was offside anyway.
    • 79' City keep charging back, looking for the equaliser - Mark Hughes does not look a happy man here.
    • 76' WEST BROM SCORE AGAIN - BUT NO! DISALLOWED! The Baggies were unlucky there, it looked as if Greening had bagged a likely winner but the man in black says no - Bednar had tangled with Hart, putting the keeper out of action.
    • 73' City come back in to it and make a chance, but the free kick Vassell wins is wasted. Moments later, goalscorer Luke Moore comes off the pitch to be replaced by Craig Beattie.
    • 71' SO CLOSE TO A SECOND!!!!! Moore turns creator this time, charging up the left before a great ball puts Robinson in position A for a cross to the waiting Bednar - the ball is brilliantly cut out by Dunne, a real goal-saving interception there.
    • 68' LUKE MOORE SCORES!!!! THE BAGGIES TAKE THE LEAD!!!! Yet another long through-ball, but this time it's perfectly-judged by Koren and Moore runs on well with just Hart to beat - and he does so beautifully with a low, drilled shot to the bottom right.
    • 67' Plenty more running around but precious little penetration at the moment. The game just seems very slightly too quick for the players' skill levels at the moment...
    • 64' A change now for West Brom as they bring off Kim and send on Scottish youngster Graham Dorrans for his first-team debut.
    • 62' Caceido gets into the game, snatching a shot and making Carson get his shirt even dirtier with a diving save.
    • 61' Bednar through onto a looping ricochet... but just as he's about to pull the trigger - and put a hole in the back of the net, by the look of him - the flag goes up.
    • 60' Bednar gets a shot in chasing yet another long ball - it goes off, and from the goal kick City push up and win a corner, which they waste with a terrible cross from Fernandes.
    • 58' It's Brazilian Caceido who replaces Benjani, making his third appearance for City.
    • 57' Benjani runs at full tilt on to a ball - but he pulls up short and lets Meite get there. It's clearly a hamstring problem, he'll be off the field any second.
    • 56' Stephen Ireland has been in top form of late and makes a good run into the box - it looks as if he'll shoot, but the flag goes up.
    • 54' Morrison gets on the end of a looping pass into the box from Koren, turns and shoots - but mistimes, and the shot has all the dynamism and power of a salmon mousse.
    • 53' Chance for City, great work up the right by Zabaleta who cuts it back in for Wright-Phillips. The connection on the shot is great, but it's straight into the hands of the waiting Carson.
    • 51' A loose sliding tackle by Paul Robinson sends Wright-Phillips arcing gracefully to the floor like a Mexican cliff diver. Robinson earns a booking, and a suspension for his fifth card.
    • 50' More back-and-forth coming to nothing here, with a bit too much wellying up field and not much care from either team.
    • 48' First chance of the second half is for West Brom, who force a corner. It's well cleared by the defence and City counter quickly - cleared by Olsson for West Brom and hoofed back up the pitch - this is classic end-to-end stuff!
    • 46' Back under way at the Hawthorns, and there's no half-time changes for either side.
    • 45'+1 End of the first half, and it's more or less honours even. The Baggies have probably had the best of the football, but City could easily have pinched one.
    • 45' GREAT CHANCE FOR CITY! A long free kick cross comes in, Benjani heads down to Micah Richards who turns and is in position to shoot - but in his haste the defender snatches at it and sends it over the bar.
    • 44' Olsson complains to the ref that his header was impeded by shirt pulling - but amusingly the replay shows that he was being tugged by the misguided hand of team-mate Paul Robinson!
    • 43' Corner to West Brom, but it's well headed out - then Vassell, clearing back, shoves Morrison to the floor conceding a dangerous free kick on the right edge of the box... It's floated in well, but Jonas Olsson heads over.
    • 41' A good run through the middle of the park by Koren ends in a dangerous pass to Bednar running in from the left - but the ball is not quite far enough up the park for the striker to outpace Zabaleta.
    • 40' The game clogs up in midfield for a while, with a couple of loose challenges flying in from both sides. West Brom get the ball to the penalty box, but it's well cleared by Wright-Phillips - despite him slipping on the ball.
    • 37' Koren runs up the West Brom left flank and crosses for Moore, but Dunne and Richards are both there to cut the ball out.
    • 36' Wright-Phillips has another crack at goal, this time from just outside the box and while surrounded by players - but it's straight at Scott Carson.
    • 34' Best chance for City to come back for a while, but Vassell gets shut down immediately by Meite. West Brom look more and more solid as things go on, even though City look good on the ball.
    • 31' A good chance builds up for West Brom on the left gives Bednar a chance to turn Zabalata and strike from space - and he rockets a superb strike past Hart! BUT IT HITS THE POST!!! Luckily for City the ball spins across the front of the goal without going in - that was a great effort for the home side.
    • 30' West Brom keep pumping the balls upfield. They look stronger when they hang on to it, but can't resist resorting to route one football every few minutes.
    • 27' Morrison in space puts a ball across to an unmarked Greening on the left, but Zabaleta tackles him well.
    • 25' That was a rotten waste for the home side - you felt that if Moore had swung his foot he had to score - but they're emboldened by having created the chance and come hard at their visitors.
    • 23' GREAT CHANCE FOR THE BAGGIES! The home side run the ball into the box but Moore just can't get a shot away - and just as he looks as if he'll finally get one in team-mate Morrison runs clear through him and messes things up. And they wonder why they're bottom...
    • 21' Good movement there from City - and Benjani in particular - puts Wright-Phillips in space as he flys in from the right. He unleashes a powerful strike that deflects off Meite and just over the bar.
    • 19' City build up some pressure now, but they don't seem able to make much happen in the box. Those shirts really are a bit much for a Sunday lunchtime. It's enough to give you a headache.
    • 16' Stepehn Ireland puts a great ball through to Vassell, but it's fractionally too early for the striker. They're making endless direct attempts to cut through the middle of the home side's defence - doesn't say much for Mark Hughes's opinion of them...
    • 14' Now it's Benjani's turn to be offside - well offside - as he latches on to a through ball from Kompany. West Brom look better on the ball so far, but City look the more dangerous.
    • 13' A good long ball break by West Brom, but Moore is judged marginally offside as he's through.
    • 10' Another outside chance for City with Ireland taking a pot shot, but then the home team come back into things, hanging on to the ball to slow it down and take stock.
    • 7' Long ball stuff from both sides, but it's Benjani for City who makes the best chance - well tackled.
    • 4' City make the brighter start - literally, with their garish orange strips - pushing into the West Brom box early on.
    • 2' The match gets under way, and it's a critical tie for both sides. City have dropped into the bottom three, but know that a win will catapult them up the tightly-packed table - and West Brom are desperate for the points that their recent form deserves.
