  • Live Commentary

    Time:90'
    • West Ham
    • Manchester City
    • 90+4' There's the final whistle! West Ham go seventh with a hard-fought win!
    • 90+2' Yellow card Ireland for a frustrated challenge on Parker.
    • 90+1' Elano curls a free-kick goalwards for City... just wide!
    • 89' A Robinho shot deflects off Neill and it's a corner for City as Valeri Bojinov comes on for Nigel De Jong.
    • 87' West Ham are doing an excellent job of shutting this game down, as Walter Lopez replaces the marvellous David Di Michele.
    • 83' Another change from West Ham, with Jonathan Spector coming on for Radoslav Kovac.
    • 82' Now Carlton Cole goes down injured and looks to be in some pain. But after a minute of cajoling from the physio he is back on his feet and should be OK to continue.
    • 79' City continue to press forward, but their attacks are too frenetic, lacking in focus and direction.
    • 77' Caicedo! Ignores Robinho to take a shot himself from eight yards, and slices another left-foot effort way off target!
    • 76' Robinho takes aim from the edge of the box but drags his shot a couple of yards wide.
    • 75' Real chance Caicedo! He gets beyond Tomkins, races through on goal and fires a high left-footed shot just wide!
    • 74' Savio starts another counter-attack for West Ham, sprinting out from the back, but his through ball asks too much of Parker.
    • 72' Great work by Savio to set that goal up - it was a nice dribble inside from him and a decent curling shot.
    • 70' GOAL!! West Ham lead through Jack Collison! Savio Nsereko cuts inside from the left and unleashes a shot. Given can only parry it as far as Collison, who lobs the rebound into the net. Not great from the City keeper.
    • 69' Rash, late, sliding tackle from Kompany on Kovac, and that is a certain booking.
    • 68' Ireland plays the ball to the edge of the box for Caicedo, who tries to nick it past Upson but the ball loops up and Robert Green makes a decent save.
    • 66' Interesting substitution from Mark Hughes, who brings Craig Bellamy off for Elano. The Welshman gets a decent reception from the Upton Park as he comes off - a rarity.
    • 65' West Ham aren't happy - they think Carlton Cole has won a corner off Wayne Bridge but referee Dean begs to differ.
    • 63' Robinho does indeed have a shot, and blazes it high and wide.
    • 61' Parker trips Caicedo and needs to be careful - he has already been booked. Robinho might try a shot here but he is a long way out.
    • 59' Apart from the odd moment of Di Michele-orchestrated quality, it has all gone a bit scrappy.
    • 56' West Ham play some more lovely, attractive stuff and Di Michele tees up Parker, whose shot is deflected behind for a corner!
    • 54' Horrifically blatant bodycheck by Kompany on Lucas Neill - does he not think he can outrun him? - and he is lucky to escape without a booking.
    • 51' Brilliant feet from Robinho, who absolutely victimises Savio with some highly entertaining - if unnecessary - stepovers. A minute earlier West Ham had an optimistic penalty shout turned down.
    • 49' No changes in personnel for either side, although both have already made one change.
    • 46' The second half is under way, and immediately West Ham are on the attack as Di Michele lobs a cross in from the right for Collison, who fails to make contact with the ball just a few yards out!
    • 45+5' That's half-time. A good first half marred by that injury to Behrami. Robinho came closest to scoring with that superb back flick, but Robert Green denied him with an equally good save.
    • 45+1' Five minutes of stoppage time will be played following that long break in play for treatment to Behrami.
    • 45' Craig Bellamy crosses for the unlikely figure of Wayne Bridge, who heads over from a couple of yards. Kovac is booked for a foul on De Jong in the build-up.
    • 44' Di Michele finds Cole with a superb diagonal crossfield ball... but he is forced wide and City regain possession.
    • 42' After a lengthy stoppage, Behrami is stretchered off and Savio Nsereko replaces him. A serious knee injury for Valon Behrami.
    • 40' Behrami is in real pain and the medics give him oxygen. His match is certainly over and possibly his season. It was an inocuous challenge, but he just appeared to twist his knee awkwardly. Savio Nsereko is being prepared to come on.
    • 38' Valon Behrami goes down clutching his left knee. Worrying moments for Gianfranco Zola - this could be a bad one.
    • 35' Neill is forced to concede a corner as Bellamy clips a deft ball into the West Ham box... Ireland crosses and Green holds it.
    • 33' Lovely move by West Ham, who work the ball to Di Michele in space on the left, but his low shot is too close to Given.
    • 30' Cole volleys well over from the edge of the box, and Given whacks the goal kick away. Half an hour gone.
    • 28' Collison! Takes Ilunga's low cross and fires goalwards... straight at Given.
    • 27' The West Ham corner is cleared as far as Behrami 25 yards out who gets plenty of power behind his shot but it is blocked.
    • 25' West Ham win a free-kick on the right, just outside the City box... Di Michele's cross finds Kovac, who heads well wide via a deflection.
    • 23' Di Michele clips a cross for Cole, who attempts a volley six yards out but misses completely.
    • 21' ROBINHO!! Bellamy plays the ball inside from the left, Ireland helps it on and Robinho stabs the ball wide of the right-hand post.
    • 19' Di Michele is seeing more and more of the ball, which must be a good thing for West Ham. Not hard to see why Gianfranco Zola likes him.
    • 16' Superb turn and shot from Di Michele, but it lacks power and Given saves easily.
    • 15' Richards has been forced off, and he is replaced by Felipe Caicedo.
    • 14' WHAT A FLICK, WHAT A SAVE!! Robinho backheels the ball to redirect a Kompany effort goalwards, and Green produces a stunning one-handed save to deny him! West Ham thought Robinho was offside but he was being played on. Stunning stuff from both men.
    • 13' Cole chases a through ball from Parker and De Jong puts it out for a corner.. in fact the striker is adjudged to have pushed the City defender.
    • 11' Terrible tackle from Parker on Richards, and that is a yellow card. Remarkably, the West Ham midfielder angrily disputes Mike Dean's decision, even though it was a late, clumsy sliding tackle. Not easy being a ref...
    • 10' Ireland crosses from the right for Dunne, who is still forward from the corner... but the Irishman cannot get proper purchase on his header.
    • 8' Bellamy crosses from the left but there is nobody in the centre... Ilunga doesn't appear to know that and puts the ball out for a corner.
    • 6' Ilunga plays a seemingly innocuous diagonal ball into the City box from the left, but the visitors do not deal with it well and the ball almost finds its way to the feet of Carlton Cole... Given dives and saves.
    • 4' Both of these sides still harbour vague European ambitions, although in truth seventh is the best either of them can hope for. For that reason, they'll be hoping Manchester United win at Wembley later and deny Spurs a UEFA Cup place.
    • 2' City have Valeri Bojinov on the bench. The Bulgarian has had an injury nightmare since joining from Fiorentina, but he really was superb in Italy and could be quite a player if he manages to stay fit.
    • 1' Game on! West Ham are in claret and blue, while City sport a lurid orange away kit.
    • - Welcome to LIVE coverage of West Ham v Manchester City from Upton Park! Craig Bellamy returns to face yet another former club - this time it is the most recent.
