    • FT AND THERE IS THE FINAL WHISTLE! Middlesbrough are down and they can have no complaints.
    • 90+3 Lucas Neill goes for a chip on Jones - just over the bar.
    • 90' Boa Morte with a decent effort from distance just goes wide of the target.
    • 89' O'Neil with a tame free-kick straight at Green.
    • 87' Gary O'Neil booked for a two-footed tackle on Tristan - should have been red.
    • 85' West Ham fans singing in the sun now - they look set to finish the season in ninth.
    • 84' Tuncay is furious with young Joe Bennett for going for a shot that went well over when he should have checked it back for the Turk.
    • 81' Boro bring on Jonathan Franks for his debut with Emnes making way.
    • 80' Lovely little Cryuff turn from Dyer gets him past Wheater. on the edge of the box but his shot bangs straight into Huth.
    • 79' Tristan scuffs a chance after being set up by Stanislas.
    • 77' Stanislas is able to get a shot away on the edge of the area but it is straight at Jones.
    • 76' Lucas Neill gets an important chest of the ball to stop it getting to Tuncay free at the back post.
    • 74' All the other teams in relegation trouble are losing at the moment so Boro would have had a chance if they turned up today. Premier League scorecentre
    • 72' Final West Ham change - Di Michele on for Collison.
    • 71' Again West Ham looked dangerous on the break only for an overhit cross but they look more likely to score here.
    • 69' Nice little back heel from Collison nearly sets up Stanislas but Wheater gets in in time.
    • 67' Well just as I say that Johnson actually puts in a good ball but Wheater can't get it on target.
    • 66' Adam Johnson was linked with Real Madrid earlier in the year. I think the Spanish giants might want somebody who can actually cross the ball. Johnson with yet another shocker of a cross.
    • 64' Carlton Cole makes way with Diego Tristan coming on. Good performance from Cole who could comes back into Fabio Capello's plans.
    • 63' Cole and Dyer nearly combine again on the break - the attack ends when Huth pushed Dyer over.
    • 61' Cole puts the ball across to a free Dyer in the box but his first touch is heavy and Bennett can slide in and make the tackle. Dyer should have scored.
    • 60' Nice turn of pace from Dyer but then he overcooks a pass to Cole.
    • 59' GOAL FOR WEST HAM!!! Stanislas has drilled a low shot into the corner of the net but it is a bit of a shocker from Jones who let the ball spill under him. A Premier League goalkeeper should save that. Jones will not be one of those for long.
    • 56' Stanislas plays in Cole who is bossed out of it by Huth - it looked like he had a handful of Cole's jersey to be fair but he got away with it.
    • 54' Mark Noble has picked up a knock and Kieron Dyer comes on.
    • 53' Bates tries a shot from outside the box - always rising but not a million miles away - Boro look a new team in this second-half.
    • 52' Tuncay has the ball in loads of space down the left but it is a poor cross from the Turk - unlike him.
    • 50' Gary O'Neil is the only player to have scored for Middlesbrough away from home in 2009.
    • 49' MIDDLESBROUGH SCORE - they have hope - Great play from Tuncay to set it up as he waited for Gary O'Neil to come up alongside him and O'Neil drilles it into the bottom corner.
    • 48' Hoyte with another good chance to cross but it is straight at Green.
    • 47' Middlesbourhg have a shot on target!! It is from Walker and it is straight at the goalkeeper.
    • 46' Back underway at Upton Park and Middlesbrough have made two changes - on comes youngsters Joe Bennett and Josh Walker with McMahon and Arca making way.
    • HT And there is the half-time whistle. Middlesbrough going down with a whimper as things stand.
    • 45' Nice cross from O'Neill and Emnes tries a bicycle kick but he doesn't really get anything on it.
    • 43' Middlesbrough at least have a spell of pressure but their crossing is shocking. They have had five corners to none but have done nothing with them.
    • 41' Dreadful cross from Johnson as the dross continues from Middlesbrough. No wonder only 1,000 fans or so have travelled from Teeside to watch this. A really poor performance this.
    • 40' Huth gets his head on a corner but it goes well over the bar.
    • 38' Kovac with another shot for West Ham from outside the box but he drags his effort wide of the target.
    • 37' Middlesbrough are missing a big chance here today because Newcastle have now gone behind at Villa Park. Aston Villa v Newcastle: LIVE
    • 35' Middlesbrough's defending was not the best for that goal but it is their toothless attack that is really hurting them here.
    • 33' GOAL FOR WEST HAM - Carlton Cole on his return to the starting line up. Boa Motre played Ilunga down the left - the left back then rolled a low ball across the area and Cole placed it into the corner of the net. Middlesbrough look doomed.
    • 33' Emnes up on his own has no support so he goes for a shot but that goes well wide of the target.
    • 32' Middlesbrough put a free into the box - Huth puts Green under pressure and the ball drops to Wheater but he can only place it well over the bar. It did bounce awkwardly for him though.
    • 30' Very late tackle from Boa Motre on Wheater - he is lucky not to get a yellow card.
    • 29' Arca has to play a ball back to Jones under some serious pressure from Cole who showed great pace to put the Argentine under pressure.
    • 27' Cole heads a little chip back to Stanislas who tries a half-volley but it ends up nearer to the corner flag than the net.
    • 26' Middlesbrough have had a good deal of possession but Robert Green could have stayed at home and it would still be 0-0 at the moment.
    • 24' Some good news from Middlesbrough elsewhere - Manchester United have gone in front against Hull City - follow that game here. Hull v Man Utd LIVE
    • 22' Look out your window and if you see a football going by it might Matthew Bates's shot that he just launched into space.
    • 21' Tuncay gets a shot away at the edge of the box but it blocked by the defence.
    • 20' OFF THE BAR FROM WEST HAM - Stanislas tried his look from distance it took a deflection and cannoned off the bar. Brad Jones was rooted to the spot the whole time.
    • 19' Tuncay checks into the box from the right onto his left foot. He then fizzes a ball across the face of the goal that ends up being neither a shot nor a cross.
    • 18' Cole checks the ball back to Kovac who fires a decent shot from outside the box. He almost caught it too well though and it goes straight at Jones. The 'highlight' of the match so far.
    • 17' Middlesbrough have had 57 per cent of the play but they have done nothing with it so far. Johnson has just tried to inject some pace into things but he is tackled in the box.
    • 15' West Ham earn a free-kick about 30 yards out - it seems like a chance for a shot but they go for a cross instead. Cole gets his head on in it but it never troubles the goal.
    • 13' This match has a pre-season feel about things at the moment - there is NOTHING happening - big chance for Boro to just go out and do their bit to try and stay up.
    • 11' Nothing much happening here in the early stages but to see what is happeneing elsewhere remember to keep an eye on our scorecentre
    • 10' No goals in any games so far but Middlesbrough fans should not give up. History shows that miracles do happen
    • 8' Big round of applause for Boa Motre after a great tackle on Hoyte. The Portuguese man has not always been Mr. Popular so that is nice to hear.
    • 7' West Ham's first attack into the Middlesbrough half ends when Collison misplaces a pass.
    • 5' Bright start this from Boro - West Ham just enjoying the sunshine so far. Maybe they have minds on their holidays?
    • 3' O'Neill's ball from the right drops all the way to Johnson on the left of the box - he tries a half volley from a tough angle but it goes miles over the bar.
    • 2' Early chance for Johnson to whip in a cross but it is overcooked and goes wide and over.
    • 1' And we are underway - intrestingly a full minute after the Newcastle v Aston Villa game.
    • - Middlesbrough forced to make one change for this match at Upton Park and it is a big on. Stewart Downing is out injured and Tony McMahon comes in.
    • - Middlesbrough need to win their match and hope Hull and Newcastle both lose - they also need to overturn a goal difference of four on Hull.
    • - Welcome to what is expected to be a grim day for Middlesbrough fans - the table tells you why
