    • 90+3 That's the end of that then, a spanking for Bolton who have conceded 13 goals in their last three games. Ouch.
    • 90+2 Young to take, and he fancies a shot from this angle... He swings it high past the wall and it curls and dips into the top right but tipped away by the cat-like Jaaskelainen! Corner.
    • 90+1 Robinson clatters into Delfouneso late and earns himself a booking and Villa a free-kick 25 yards out, to the right.
    • 89' Taylor has a pop from distance but easy enough for Friedel.

    • 41' Cuellar goes down under a challenge from Davies, barely a foul but he gets it and Villa take it quickly, Young down the left again but his cross is easy for the keeper this time.
    • 40' Warnock to Young, he crosses deep for Sidwell at the far post but away by Cahill.
    • 39' The Trotters still have possession as Gardner drives forward but he over-runs it a touch and Dunne hoofs it away. Villa win a throw down the left having turned defence into attack in seconds.
    • 38' Strong play from Elmander to shrug Reo-Coker off the ball and launch a Bolton attack...
    • 37' Long ball into the Villa box and Taylor flies in to try a volley but he rolls over the back of Dunne and lands very awkwardly! Not a foul, at all, but he's in a lot of trouble as the medics rush on...
    • 36' And as if to prove that point, Villa break with Milner down the right and his angled cross finds an unmarked Carew who heads weakly at Jaaskelainen! Should have scored, a wonderful chance!

    • 30' BOLTON SUB: This must be tactical - Cohen is off for Elmander. They need the ball to stick up front to take pressure of their defence, and they're getting nothing in midfield anyway so it makes sense.

    • 26' A bit of nonsense as Knight is clobbered, somewhat unnecessary rushing on to the pitch by Bolton's medics as he is clearly fine.
    • 25' Incessant pressure from Villa as Young's corner is not fully cleared by Bolton and Dunne makes a nuisance of himself to win another corner. Cahill gets this one away though.
    • 24' Throw to Villa on the left after Gardner slides in. Short to Warnock who launches it into the box, causing all kinds of trouble as Cahill mis-kicks it behind for a corner.
    • 23' Cohen now with a late scissors challenge on Milner, he'll be lucky to stay out of the book here...
    • 22' Shaky from Jaaskelainen on that corner, stuck to his line and allowing Agbonlahor to get an almost free header but Muamba puts him off and it's weak, into the ground and easy for the Finnish keeper.
    • 21' Young with the free-kick and another testing delivery but Cahill heads it away from Dunne! Corner on the left. This results in another corner after Cuellar and Dunne flew in, off Knight I think.
    • 20' Sidwell on the right with a good touch to play it inside and the already-committed Robinson takes him out. Just outside the box, by the byline, a very dangerous position for Villa...
    • 19' Warnock slides the ball down the left and Carew initially checks his run thinking he's off but no flag! Good control to keep it in, back to Young who plays it low to Carew in the box again but the delay has allowed Bolton to reorganise and they clear with relative ease.
    • 18' Long ball from Dunne, a free-kick on the edge of his own box, flicked on by Carew and Agbonlahor turns and fires on goal but over! Great play by the Villa striker.
    • 17' Bolton with a spell of pressure now as Dunna hoofs one clear, Muamba brings it forward from deep again but Villa win it back through Reo-Coker and can clear. The ball spins up to Milner on the right, he takes it in his stride and zips into space but his near-post cross is straight at the keeper.
    • 16' Villa counter and Young is played in by Milner but it's just too quick for him and, while he makes the cross, it spins behind for a goal kick.
    • 15' Jaaskelainen's long punt downfield for the free-kick almost causes Villa problems but between Cuellar and Dunne they get it clear.
    • 14' Agbonlahor races on to a long ball but is offside.
    • 13' For all their territorial dominance, Villa are over-relying on high, diagonal balls, which is odd given Bolton's aerial presence. You'd think they'd try to pass them off the park but, with Petrov out, their major creative force in central midfield is lacking.
    • 12' Knight gets Cuellar's long ball out under pressure from Agbonlahor. Villa hemming Bolton in their own half.
    • 11' Villa swarm forward like claret-and-blue killer ants as Young cuts in from the wing and tries a curler but he gets this one all wrong, well wide.

    • 9' Sidwell flies late into Muamba, really late actually but Muamba helps his case by getting straight up. The ref just has a word with the former Reading, Chelsea and Arsenal man.
