    • Birmingham City
    • 95' Final whistle blows at Turf Moor. This really is a fortress for Burnley. If they continue this strong home form they have a very good chance of staying up. Birmingham on the other hand looked clueless going forward.
    • 95' GOAL for Birmingham and it's a beauty. Substitute Larsson bending in a great free-kick from the right hand side of the box. Owen Coyle is furious!
    • 90' Burnley make their final change. Robbie Blake is replaced by Christian Kalvenes.
    • 86' Sub for Burnley. Off comes Nugent for Steven Thompson.
    • 85' How Lee Bowyer must be ruing that first-half miss!
    • 83' Birmginham are really missing Christian Benitez. They have nothing to offer going forward.
    • 82' The ball is sent into the Burnley box and McFadden loops a header into the arms of Jensen.
    • 78' From resulting free-kick Mears brings the best out of Hart who tips over. Should have been 3-0 from the corner. Bikey heading over Jordan's pinpoint delivery.
    • 77' Booking for Carr after he chopped down Nugent.
    • 75' Is Bikey the new Essien? He's having a stormer in the centre of midfield. Masterstroke from Owen Coyle.
    • 72' Goal hero Fletcher comes off for Burnley. Chris Eagles enters the fray.
    • 70' This game has really opened up. Burnley surging forward looking for more goals and Birmingham are desperately searching for a miracle.
    • 67' Alex McLeish brings on his trump card. Kevin Phillips replaces Teemu Tainio.
    • 62' It's 2-0 and the fans are going mental! Bikey exchanges a one-two with Nugent and the big defender slots the ball past a helpless Hart.
    • 59' Another chance! This game has really woken up in the second half. Yet again it's Fletcher who is at the heart of the action. A low left foot shot brings a smart save from Hart. The keeper getting down well to his right to smother the effort.
    • 57' Should have been 2-0. Fletcher again. The striker slipped the ball past Hart, it looked destined for the back of the net, but it hit the post and City cleared their lines.
    • 52' Burnley hit Birmingham on the counter attack. McFadden's free-kick hits the wall, Mears breaks out of defence and sends Fletcher through on goal. His left foot hits Hart's legs and loops into the back of the net 1-0 to the Clarets.
    • 49' Booking for Barry Ferguson. Mears is the victim yet again.
    • 47' Good early chance for the visitors. The ball falls for Larsson arriving into the box on the right, but he leans back and blazes over. Should have at least hit the target.
    • 45' And Liam Ridgewell comes on for Franck Queudrue.
    • 45' Birmingham make two substitutions at half-time. Sebastian Larsson replaces Keith Fahey.
    • 45' Second-half underway. Burnley kicking left to right. Pray to the football gods for a goal....
    • 45' Half-time at Turf Moor. Glimpses of excitement towards the end of the half, but it was pretty poor otherwise. Both managers need to liven their teams up during the interval.
    • 44' Great burst forward from Garry O'Connor. He skipped past a few challenges, cut in from the right and drove a shot down Jensen's throat. A comfortable save, but a lot more promising from City.
    • 39' SHOCKING miss from Bowyer. With the goal at his mercy he somehow manages to mis-cue the ball away from goal. What a donkey! Roger Johnson who provided the cross will be having a word at half-time. Best chance of the game.
    • 34' Finally a decent effort. Wade Elliott does well to work the ball to Nugent who lets fly from the edge of the box with a strong right foot shot, but Hart makes a comfortable save.
    • 33' Birmingham free-kick left edge of the box. Swung in by Keith Fahey and Dann fails to connect when he really should have done better. That was a chance (well sort of) for City.
    • 31' Blake wins a free-kick on the right edge of the area. Decent chance to make Birmingham pay.... but instead they waste it again. Disappointing.
    • 25' Scott Dann is booked for a foul on Tyrone Mears.
    • 27' Burnley free-kick. The crowd holds its breath.... Robbie Blake smashes the ball into the wall and Burnley waste the rebound. Oh dear, oh dear....
    • 25' This game is crying out for some excitement. Please someone do something....
    • 23' Birmingham look bereft of any creative spark. They need to get McFadden on the ball more so he can weave some magic.
    • 21' Yet again Burnley work the ball well into a dangerous wide position, but the end product is woeful. Robbie Blake lofts a cross straight into the grateful arms of Joe Hart.
    • 14' There's plenty of huff and puff out there, especially with the gale force winds, but little substance from either team.
    • 13' Bikey strikes long-range effort at goal but it is deflected. Burnley launch a ball in the box but Joe Hart comes out to punch clear.
    • 12 Burnley are playing some nice stuff amidst the midfield traffic.
    • 8' Tasty challenge by Bowyer on Bikey.
    • 5' As the game settles down after a fierce start. Burnley look dangerous and Nugent is slipped through by Elliott, but triggers the linesman's flag.
    • 2' Early promise shown by Burnley. Lots of energy. Steven Fletcher threatens down the right flank.
    • 1' And we're off. Birmingham kicking right to left.
    • - Garry O'Connor deputises, with Franck Queudrue and James McFadden also coming in for Gregory Vignal and Sebastian Larsson.
    • - Birmingham manager Alex McLeish made three changes to the team which lost at home to Bolton, the most significant being the absence of striker Christian Benitez who has returned to Ecuador after his father was injured in a car crash.
    • - Burnley's club captain Steven Caldwell made his first appearance of the season for the Clarets against Birmingham at Turf Moor today. The defender has been out since injuring a groin on Scotland duty on August 12 and was the only change, replacing Joey Gudjonsson, from the side which lost 5-0 at Tottenham last week.
    • - However, Birmingham have not won in their last nine top flight visits to Burnley, since a 1-0 win in January 1959.
    • - Birmingham are unbeaten in their last five league visits to Burnley, since a 1-0 defeat in old Division One in April 1976 - the last top flight match between the sides.
    • - The home side has not won any of the last seven league meetings between the teams, losing four times, since Birmingham's 3-2 win at St Andrews in November 2000.
    • - And here's Birmingham's line-up: Hart, Carr, Roger Johnson, Dann, Queudrue, Fahey, Ferguson , Tainio, McFadden, Bowyer, O'Connor. Subs: Maik Taylor, Ridgewell, Larsson, Phillips, McSheffrey, O'Shea, Carsley
    • - The teams are in... This is how Owen Coyle will be sending his Burnley team out: Jensen, Mears, Carlisle, Caldwell , Jordan , Alexander, Steven Fletcher, Elliott, Bikey, Blake, Nugent. Subs: Penny, Duff, McDonald, Gudjonsson, Kalvenes, Thompson, Eagles
    • - Burnley are unbeaten in the last three league matches against Birmingham, since a 2-1 home Championship defeat in November 2006.
    • - Burnley and Birmingham have met 82 times in the league. Burnley have won 37, Birmingham 27 and there have been 18 draws.
