    • Burnley
    • Hull City
    • 90+3' It's all over at Turf Moor where Burnley have won 2-0 to increase the pressure on Hull's beleaguered boss Phil Brown.
    • 90+1 Hull have a throw on the right in their own half, but can't keep possession.
    • 90' Burnley press again on the left and win a freekick as Kevin McDonald is felled.
    • 89' There's a yellow card for Bernard Mendy after he kicks out at sub Fernando Guerrero on the floor.
    • 88' Hull hit the post! The ball breaks to Andy Dawson on the edge of the area and his low shot cannons off the post before going wide.
    • 86' Andre Bikey fires over from six yards. The ball breaks to the full back in the box and he swings wildly at the ball but his effort soars over the bar.
    • 84' Hull are enjoying a late spell of pressure and slinging some good crosses into the box but Burnley are looking fairly comfortable.
    • 82' Almost a third for Burnley. Zayatte slides in to block a cross from the right but can only deflect the ball to Nugent, who fails to control the it and Duke pounces to gather.
    • 80' Altidore receives a warning from the referee after a very late challenge on Chris Eagles. He is perhaps a little lucky.
    • 77' Kamil Zayatte puts in a great tackle but gets injured in the process... he is staying down and not looking in great shape.
    • 75' Goal for Burnley! It's a second goal for Alexander who fires the ball low into the back of the net from outside the area following a good passing move from the hosts. Game over!
    • 73' Altidore is throwing his weight around since coming on as a sub and wins a freekick for Hull.
    • 71' Burnley are piling on the pressure now as Chris Eagles is felled by Zayatte to win a freekick on the right-hand edge of the area.
    • 70' Geovanni talked himself into the book after his freekick was disallowed and picked up a second booking for his tackle on Fletcher. Still seems very harsh.
    • 68' Maybe the ref got that one wrong as well - it looks like maybe Geovanni slipped!
    • 67' Things go from bad to worse for Hull - Geovanni is sent off for sliding into a tackle on Fletcher and not getting the ball.
    • 65' How the ref thought there was an infringement there, I don't know. The freekick was high over the wall in anycase.
    • 63' Hull have the ball in the back of the net, but it is ruled out. Geovanni plants an incredible freekick into the top corner but the ref has ruled it out for pushing in the wall - madness.
    • 62' Stephen Hunt wins a freekick on the edge of the Burnley area after being tripped by Steven Caldwell.
    • 61' Mendy sets about taking on the entire Burnley back four before firing in a shot from outside the area that is held by Jensen.
    • 59' Fletcher is felled by Kamil Zayatte and goes down holding his face - it doesn't look like there was much in that.
    • 57' Hull look to find substitute Bernard Mendy down the right but the pass has too much on it and it is out for a throw.
    • 55' Burnley's Robbie Blake runs at the Hull back four before flinging a cross into the box that is cut out at the near post.
    • 54' Chris Eagles holds off a couple of Hull Challenges on the right before winning a throw in the corner.
    • 51' Burnley almost double their lead as Wade Elliott steals a yard on his marker at a corner but cannot direct his header on target.
    • 50' Hull threaten through Fletcher who looks to break into the box before being crowded out and robbed of the ball.
    • 48' Ghilas misses a great chance for Hull to get back into the game. Olofinjana lays the ball off to the midfielder in space but Jensen stands tall and Ghilas hits it straight at him from eight yards.
    • 47' Hull are immediately on the attack but Kamel Ghilas cannot get on the end of a chipped ball forward from Geovanni, which goes behind for a goalkick.
    • 46' And we are underway again in the second half.
    • 45' It's half-time at Turf Moor where it is 1-0 to Burnley. We'll be back with full second-half commentary after the interval.
    • 44' Stephen Jordan fluffs a good chance for Burnley - shooting wide from 15 yards at the far post after Hull failed to clear a corner.
    • 43' Chris Eagles fires in a shot from outside the area that Duke just manages to parry away to safety away from the on-running Fletcher.
    • 41' Wade Elliott has a shot from the edge of the area that trickles wide of Matt Duke's right-hand post for a goalkick.
    • 40' Chris Eagles has the ball on the right and lays it back for Tyrone Mears to fling a cross into the box that is comfortably cleared.
    • 38' The game has hit a bit of a lull as both sides hand possession to one another in midfield - it's certainly not an entertaining spectacle this one!
    • 35' Duke is forced to make a good save at the near post, beating away a shot from Wade Elliott from a tight angle.
    • 34' Good chance for Burnley goes begging! Andre Bikey heads a corner from the right high and wide from six yards out.
    • 32' Stephen Hunt shows off his ball juggling skills before being shoved in the back and winning a freekick just inside the Burnley half.
    • 31' Burnley waste a good opportunity to double their lead as Eagles pulls the ball back for Blake, who fluffs his control before sending a cross-cum-shot over the bar.
    • 29' Geovanni tries a shot from distance for Hull that is blocked before Burnley break down the right with Eagles slinging a cross into the box that is claimed by Duke.
    • 27' Jensen is out quickly to snaffle a cross out of the air as Hull threatened down the left.
    • 25' But the hosts try an elaborate training-ground routine that ends with Robbie Blake's shot being deflected to safety.
    • 24' Fletcher is felled on the edge of the box by Paul McShane to hand Burnley a freekick.
    • 22' The goal seems to have fired some life into Hull. The visitors are stringing some quick passes together and looking to work their way back into the clash.
    • 20' Graham Alexander steps up and fires the ball low into the bottom left-hand corner to hand Burnley the lead.
    • 19' Tyrone Mears gets his heels clipped by Stephen Hunt and the referee points to the spot.
    • 18' Penalty for Burnley!
    • 17' Hull keeper Matt Duke is quickly off his line to boot the ball into touch as Burnley looked to threaten.
    • 15' Hull break down the left and square the ball for Olofinjana to try his luck from the edge of the area but his effort is comfortably held by Jensen.
    • 10' Burnley are now resorting to pumping some hopeful long balls forward, but both back-fours look fairly comfortable dealing with the route one ball.
    • 9' Hull look to apply some pressure down Burnley's right flank but Marney's ball into the box goes through to Jensen.
    • 7' It's been all Burnley in the opening exchanges. Hull are really struggling to retain possession.
    • 5' Burnley win a corner on the right as Chris Eagles' cross is deflected behind, but Hull eventually scramble the ball clear.
    • 4' Burnley continue to press but Seyi Olofinjana nips in to make a good tackle and snuff out the danger.
    • 3' Dean Marney goes through the back of Fletcher to concede a freekick 20 yards from goal, but the set-piece comes to nothing.
    • 2' Paul McShane takes an early throw for the visitors on the right, but Hull quickly squander possession.
    • 1' And we are underway!
    • - Right, the handshakes are done and dusted and we are ready for kick off.
    • - Phil Brown strolls out onto the pitch and gives a big thumbs up to the travelling fans - let's just hope there's not a microphone in sight.
    • - We are approaching kick-off here at Turf Moor, the players are waiting patiently in the tunnel... and here they come.

  1. Comment 31 sorry mate Turfmoor is still one of the most historic grounds in the world to alter it totally would be like tearing the heart out of Burnley. You must remember that the very best have been beaten on this wonderfull ground over the years and some of the very best have worn the Claret and Blue of Burnley for over 130 years.I never saw the team from the 1920s but as a lad in the sixties I was told of Bob Kelly and co by many fans who were lucky enough to have seen them play, their record speaks volumes it stood for more than 80 years. Then we had the early 1960s and yes Jimmy Mac was the second greatest playey I have ever seen,Duncan Edwards the Manchester UTD great who died at Munic was the very best, forget any player now Edwards was better, but so was Jimmy Mac,and there were many other great names Adamson,Pointer,Pilkington,Conneley,Robson,Cummings,Eld er,the list is endless then in the 70s Leighton James,Steve Kindon,Colin Waldron,to name a few.I was there against Orient when they came to bury The former Champions, and thank God for the lads that day Neil Grewcock,Ian Britton,Taffy James Peter Leabroke,Ray Deakin, etall and the leadership of Brian Miller Who loved the club,so to take the Turf away would destroy something very special,LONG LIVE TURF MOOR UP THE CLARETS

  5. Even though i`m a Clarets fan i thought the decision to disallow Geovanni`s brilliant free kick was very harsh indeed. But in saying that i thought we were well worth the 3 points anyway.
McShane throwing the toys out of the pram after being substituted does`nt help your cause either as it was blatantly obvious that your team is lacking in confidence.
Hope you boys can stay up as you`ve got a fantastic stadium there ( we need to re-build Turf Moor from scratch!!).
