Arsenal got their Premier League campaign off to a flying start as they hammered Everton 6-1 at Goodison Park. More
90+3' The whistle goes, mercifully for Everton, and Arsenal have begun their season in emphtaic style.
90+1' GOAL!! Everton get the most scant of consolation goals when Pienaar's shot is blocked by the legs of Almunia and Saha is there tap in the rebound.
89' GOAL!! There is still a sting in the tail at the end of this match! Arshavin toe-pokes a shot that rebounds off the far post and Eduardo is the only man moving in the box to follow up and tap in the rebound to finally mark the end of his injury nightmare.
76' Sagna's header lands in front of Saha, who drills his shot just wide of the post with Almunia nowhere near it.
73' Fabregas makes way for Welsh youngster Aaron Ramsey, while van Persie is replaced by Eduardo, making his first Premier LEague appearance since that horrendous leg break against Birmingham 18 months ago.
70' GOAL!! Almunia throws the ball out and Fabregas sprints forward from his own half before firing a low strike past Howard to make it FIVE!
63' A change for Arsenal now as the impressive Bendtner comes off for another man who has a patchy relationship with his fans, Emmanuel Eboue.
60' Tony Hibbert has also come off to be replaced by another youngster, Dan Gosling.
58' Pienaar races forward as Everton break only to be fouled in midfield. Louis Saha comes on for Osman, while Jo comes on for Jack Rodwell.
48' GOAL!! Arsenal break forward and van Persie slips the ball intot he path of Fabregas, who casually sweeps it through the legs of Howard!
46' Arsenal kick off.
45+2' Everton will be grateful to hear the half-time whistle. Arsenal go into the break with the game virtually in the bag already.
41' GOAL!! Fabregas sends the ball in and Gallas rises all alone to glance the ball past Howard!
37' GOAL!! Van Persie wisely chooses to loft a ball over to the far post and Thomas Vermaelen is unmarked to rise and head back across Howard and into the net!
34' Arshavin lifts the ball over Howard and into the net, but the flag was already up.
32' Arshavin controls the long ball and has loads of space, but that's because he's offside.
26' GOAL!! Bendtner holds the ball up and goes past Baines. He finds Fabregas who taps the ball across to Denilson and the Brazilian unleashes a lovely curling strike that gives Howard no chance!
18' Jo controls the long diagonal ball forward, but he had strayed into an offside position.
6' Bendtner bursts down the right and tries the one-two with van Persie, but can't quite link back up with the play inside the Everton box.
1' Everton kick off to get their new season underway!

this is just the beginning of the show .way gunners, that is a excellent start.with the live of thomas V. the sky is ur limit.thanks.

Well done Arsenal- a really good line up, and thats without Rosicky, Nasri and Walcott.
Good game. We should do even better against Portsmouth.

what a superb job from arsenal!!!!

We Arsenal fans know it is just the beginning and that a lot still need to be done, but we have also to acknowledge that it was a good start...Many haters would have laughed at us could we have lost ar drew at Everton...and now that we won convincingly, they are first ones to say that its just one much....Everton never played well bla...bla....bla.......we want an injury free season and so many haters will be disappointed.

GOD of england""""

Were is the player stats gone in the live commentary???

I'm really happy a arsenal victory but i want to charge everton to wake up and start winning matches.up gunners.

Scum Gooners

Sad loss for Everton. Based on this game, they might be consigned to mid-table. Moyes is my favorite manager too, but they're giving him too little and expecting too much.

loool okay people CALM DOWN. Im a arsenal fan but nooo way does this mean we are going to win the title... COME ON!!! Like after 1 game your goina say..yea thats it we've won? dont be stupid. And the man u fans saying liverpool are out of it..what..after 1 game..? are you guys fu'cking serious... its ONLY BEEN 1 Fuking game!!! im sick of seeing people talk @#$% about winning the trophy this early. And man city are DEFINETLY NOT going to break into the top 4. bloody hell, ..,.if we are doing well by xmas only then should be start thinking about winning trophies. WE only won 6-1 because everton played super shi*...not because we played great.

Fabregas and arsenal keep going and we will wind the premier league

up gunners we are going4 d title

sell lescott, sack neville..yobo..hibbert..and buy some quality defenders. Then send the midfield to boot camp lazy sods and buy the front line some brains and glasses.Send the little south african on a long weekend in the bahamas cos he must be knackered carrying that team every match he plays.only my oppinion but im sick of seeing the same rubbish over and over again. come on moyes'y see the light before we slump to relegation material again.

what a start!

eeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrtttt ttttttooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnfffffffffffffffffffccc cccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

For he's a jolly good fellow........Arsen and Arsenal for ever, the best Club and the best manager in ENGLAND Go boys Go.

Who smelt it delt it , and boy did we delt good, i can smell the cup coming home..........

Congratulations to Arsernal and her fans. As an Arsernal fan, I hope that this is a sign of good things to come this season. However I caution that while we celebrate we should not be carried away by this score line and the fact that it is only day 1 of the Priemiership. Hopefully also they should ride on this momentum to ease past Celtics. We have endured a lot of uncomplimentary jibes in the last few seasons, I pray that at least they should give us more cause be happy come May 2010.

fergies replacement(moyes) just got trashed and now bring on fergie!! u manure and chelski fans are talking abt how its just everton... let me remind you that manure united barely beat birmingham today and that last year they drew vs everton at goodison 1-1(fellani header) and u chelski fans cant even beat hull u need all the luck in the world.... and ya what happened when chelsea played everton??? 6-1?? o no wait it was a 0-0 draw.. the worst game of last season which i may remind u that everton cud have won

lescotts mind was a few miles down the m62 wishing he was playing for the top guns CITY.
ITS OBVIOUS THAT HE DOES NOT WANT TO PLAY FOR THE TOFFEES.
ALEX FERGUSONS PREDECESSOR-YOU CAN HAVE HIM....HA HA HA
LET HIM GO TO THE THEATRE OF JOKES
