  • Live Commentary

    • 90+3 That's it, an easy win for Fulham in the end, who leapfrog Rovers and move above Burnley into 10th.
    • 90+1 In one of three minutes added time.
    • 89' Fulham are having fun now and Davies races down the right but slips at the last, while putting in the cross for Dempsey and Nevland, which flies out for a goal kick.
    • 88' Fulham come forward now, Baird on the right and they have men over on the break, Davies now plays it low FOR DEMPSEY WHO TURNS ANDREWS AND FIRES LOW PAST ROBINSON FOR 3-0!
    • 86' FULHAM SUB: Davies on for Duff.
    • 85' Andrews arrives at the far post but confident defending from Konchesky to leave the ball knowing it would drop out of play.
    • 82' GREAT CHANCE CHIMBONDA! The Frenchman pokes wide from close range after Dunn's ball ricocheted into his path in the Whites box, but he just couldn't get any control of it with Schwarzer beaten.
    • 80' FULHAM SUB: Etuhu on for Greening, who has had his best game in a Fulham shirt.
    • 78' Grella hacks down Gera, buying Fulham a free-kick on the left.
    • 77' Fulham doing well to keep Rovers at bay in these latter stages. They just have to make sure they do nothing stupid now.
    • 75' The corner is half-cleared but only to Konchesky who has a pop but blocked and out for a throw.
    • 74' Dempsey almost gets in on the left but big Samba gets across to block his finish for the corner.
    • 73' Rovers are pumping the high balls into the box but Hangeland is around 10 foot nine, and Schwarzer likewise, so they will deal with those all day.
    • 71' Rovers come forward and some ping-pong in the box and DIOUF MUST SCORE BUT BLOCKED! Hughes I think that was with a last-gasp interception of his close-range, goal-bound effort!
    • 69' Well played Gera on the left to ride the challenge, cutting inside, now Duff on the right, he cuts on to his left and plays a vicious, bouncing low ball across goal AND DEMPSEY WITH THE LATE DIAGONAL RUN POKES IT IN!! 2-0, Fulham high and dry.
    • 68' ROVERS SUB: McCarthy on for Roberts, who has toiled manfully but lacked that bit of quality to unlock Fulham.
    • 67' Knochesky heads the ball out for a throw deep in his own half but Diouf adjudged to have handled before hand. His arm was up but it seemed to strike his chest.
    • 66' Fulham with a bit of a defensive rally as Rovers push for an equaliser. Hangeland will gobble up the high ball all day though. Kalinic has come on for Rovers, Di Santo makes way.
    • 65' Good delivery but Di Santo can't get meaningful contact and the ball sails harmlessly wide for a goal kick.
    • 64' Baird flies in high on thinking man's camel Diouf, Rovers have a free-kick 30 yards out on the right...
    • 62' Robinson hoofs a backpass upfield under pressure from Dempsey, but Fulham come again. Big Chris Samba is back to clear though.
    • 60' FULHAM SUB: Zamora cannot continue, on struts winger Gera, with Dempsey moving from midfield to a central attacking role.
    • 59' Zamora seems to have picked up a knock, limping heavily on his left ankle.
    • 58' Dunn crosses in from the left but Di Santo is crowded out and the header is fairly weak in the end.
    • 57' Neat play from Greening sends Dempsey away, he wriggles away from one man and has a pop from the edge of the box but comfortable for Robinson, well-placed to get down and save.
    • 55' Zamora races down the left, just about keeping the ball in and he has time and space to pick his cross but he sends in an attempted curling shot that flies well wide of the far post. Poor decision from the goal-shy striker.
    • 54' Fulham knocking it around at the back before launching an attack but Nevland gives it away.
    • 53' Zamora handles in the centre circle. He claims he was pushed by Samba, and one would be inclined to believe him.
    • 52' Di Santo penalised for a push on his marker Hughes with the ball in the air.
    • 50' Rovers have a free-kick now, on the right, but Dunn's delivery is headed clear and the visitors have to build again.
    • 49' Good delivery from Greening and Dempsey flies in at the far post but puts it wide! Should have been 2-0!
    • 48' Dunn fould Dempsey on the Fulham left, around 10 yards in.
    • 47' Fulham start off the second half where they left off as Nevland is very harshly called offside when he seemed level. Zamora got on to his touch and would have scored.
    • 46' Second half underway at the Cottage!!
    • - Rovers have also had more possession than Fulham, 53% to 47, which is a big indicator as to how they have dominated the first half - normally Fulham pass their opponents off the park before getting a goal.
    • - Blackburn have had five attempts to Fulham's two in a pretty quiet first half that, nonetheless, saw Rovers the better side.
    • 45+2 Half-time, Fulham lead by that Erik Nevland goal.
    • 45+1 In the first of two minutes of added time being played.
    • 45' It's an odd thing to say at Craven Cottage, but Fulham's goal came against the run of play. Blackburn have been beating them at their own game, working hard and passing it well, but have looked toothless up front. A great little goal from Fulham though, who deserved better than a beating at Birmingham.
    • 44' Good play by Fulham on the break, one-touch passing sets Duff away and he threads it through TO NEVLAND WHO RIFLES IT BETWEEN ROBINSON'S LEGS FOR 1-0!!
    • 43' Roberts almost gets in on the right, behind the defence and in the box, but his left-foot shot spins well wide of the far post.
    • 41' False alarm from the free-kick, looked a good delivery from my angle but sailed harmlessly into Schwarzer's arms.
    • 40' The ref has a word after Roberts and Pantsil tangled and went head to head. It was Pantsil's foul but Roberts reacted. Just a word mind.
    • - And here you can check out Damien Duff in action tonight.
    • - Click here for a photo of Clint Dempsey tussling with Lars Jacobsen!
    • 38' Hangeland is up for it but Greening swings the cross too high to the back stick and it flies out for a goal kick.
    • 37' Dempsey makes a back for Grella to win a free-kick just a few yards to the left of the D.
    • 36' Dunn takes a tumble after Knochesky clips his heels, the linesman waves his flag but the ref ignores him and signals a goal kick.
    • 35' Swung in near post but Roberts gets the header all wrong, out for a goal kick.
    • 34' Schwarzer slips as he reaches to clear a Hangeland back-pass, corner to Rovers.
    • 33' Rovers break down the right but Hangeland is able to hook the ball away from Di Santo.
    • 32' Not the greatest delivery by Duff but it is only defended as far as the Irishman. Robinson claims the cross with ease.
    • 31' Dempsey is hurt after he was caught by Grella after that throw, free-kick on the left wing for the hosts.
    • 30' Fulham threaten down the left but Samba comes across to slide in on Dempsey to put it out for a throw.
    • 28' A Fulham attack breaks down after Zamora is penalised for a push.
    • 27' Roberts wins a free-kick on the right, just inside his own half.
    • 26' World Cup bound Kiwi Nelsen heads out of play as Fulham slowly poke at a breakthrough.
    • 24' Free-kick to Rovers on the right, just outside the box, which Fulham manage to get clear after a bit of head tennis in the area. Hangeland with the main touch.
    • 23' A good diagonal ball by Jacobsen finds Diouf free on the left but, after cutting in from the slipping Pantsil, he can only put his header well wide of the near post. Odd decision from the Senegalese.
    • 21' Pantsil gets down the right and plays a good cross to Zamora just inside the box but, with his back to goal, he knocks it down for no-one in particular as Nevland has gone off for some treatment.
    • 20' Rovers could be in here after Hangeland lets Roberts in and it falls to Di Santo but he puts it over from close range!
    • 18' Hammered towards goal by Dunn but easily punched clear by Schwarzer.
    • 17' Rovers have a free-kick around 30 yards out, Dunn over it... pretty central...
    • 16' Throw to Rovers on the right but Chimbonda's effort, while making the danger zone, is easily cleared by the Whites. Hull are already leading Everton 3-0, by the way. 5-0 and they'd bizarrely go level with the Toffees.
    • 14' Andrews, who is playing on the right, combines with Jacobsen but then Dunn wastes it with a crossfield pass into touch.
    • 13' Jacobsen puts a throw in the mixer with Fulham hemmed in at left-back. Fulham put it out but get the second one fully clear.
    • 11' Rovers come forward now but cool defending from Hughes to play his way out of trouble.
    • 10' Fulham almost work a decent chance with Duff and Zamora combining just inside the Rovers box, but Nelsen gets it away.
    • 8' Fulham have a throw deep in their own half after another decent spell of Rovers pressure.
    • 6' Fulham come forward now, with Duff popping up on the right, he stands it up for Dempsey arriving late but the American's downward header is off-direction and bounces wide.
    • 5' Corner to Rovers on the left, good start from the visitors. Headed clear at the far post and, after a bit of head tennis and a cross in from Andrews on the right, it's out for a goal kick.
    • 3' Rovers win a throw on the left after good work from Di Santo with a diagonal run springing the offside trap, foiled by Schwarzer at his feet.
    • 1' Match underway at the Cottage!!
    • - For Blackburn, meanwhile, Brett Emerton is out injured and midfielder Steven N'Zonzi dropa to the bench from the 2-0 win at Bolton. In their places come Vinnie Grella and Keith Andrews, more 'combative' options, one could say. Lars Jacobsen fills in for the injured Gael Givet at full-back. Still no place for Benny McCarthy in the starting line-up.
    • - So three changes for Fulham after the 1-0 loss at Birmingham. Remarkably, Chris Baird keeps his place, while Zoltan Gera and Simon Davies drop to the bench and Stephen Kelly misses out entirely. No surprises with the replacements - Damien Duff and John Pantsil return, with Erik Nevland partnerning Bobby Zamora up front and Clint Dempsey back in midfield.
    • - Blackburn team: Robinson, Jacobsen, Samba, Nelsen, Chimbonda, Andrews, Dunn, Grella, Diouf, Di Santo, Roberts; Subs: Brown, McCarthy, Pedersen, Nzonzi, Kalinic, Hoilett, Salgado
    • - Fulham team: Schwarzer, Pantsil, Hughes, Hangeland, Konchesky, Dempsey, Greening, Baird, Duff, Zamora, Nevland; Subs: Zuberbuhler, Seol, Gera, Etuhu, Smalling, Davies, Dikgacoi
    • - Fulham boss Roy Hodgson insists Sam Allardyce's health problems should serve as a wake-up call to the rest of the managers in English football. More here!
    • - Hilariously, big Sam's wife has confiscated his mobile telephone to prevent him ringing his stand-in during matches while he prepares for heart surgery.
    • - David Dunn has scored five league goals this season - as many as in his last four seasons combined.
    • - Rovers have come from behind to pick up nine points this season, a record only Chelsea can match, and they have claimed at least a point in their last three league matches at Craven Cottage, despite conceding first in each.
    • - Sam Allardyce's men also kept a clean sheet at the Reebok Stadium, having conceded an average of 3.2 goals per game in their previous 10 top flight away matches. No side has attempted more shots direct from free-kicks this season than Blackburn (12), though they are yet to score from one.
    • - None of the last 14 Premier League matches at Craven Cottage has ended in a draw. With their win against Bolton last time out, Rovers ended a run of 10 consecutive defeats on the road in the Premier League.
    • - Clint Dempsey, who scored against Blackburn in their last match at Craven Cottage, has scored three goals in his last four league outings. Fulham have kept only one clean sheet in their last 11 Premier League matches.
    • - Blackburn have lost none of the last six Premier League meetings with Fulham, winning three and drawing three. Rovers' last seven goals in this fixture have come in the second half.
