    • Fulham
    • Liverpool
    • 90+1 Gera drills a low shot wide of the far post from the right.
    • 89' Three minutes added time being played as Fulham close this win out. A great result for them really.
    • 87' Fulham are carving Liverpool apart here, Zamora with a great flick on to Dempsey on the edge of the box, acres of space, he cuts inside and feeds Nevland wide right, he has time to turn and slip it across to Dempsey who unmarked slides it past Reina for 3-1. Oh dear.
    • 85' Zamora puts into the back of the net but he was just offside.
    • 84' Dempsey takes the free-kick, sending it into the wall, the loose ball drops for Pantsil who drills it low across goal but wide of the far post!
    • 83' Carra is STILL mouthing off on the sidelines, eventually making his way down the tunnel. Dempsey and Pantsil over this...
    • 82' Carragher refused to leave the pitch for a period, arguing with the ref but that - unlike Degen's - was a definite red as Zamora was through. A yellow is shown to another Liverpool player...
    • 81' The ball is sent through to Zamora who is past Carragher, who rugby-tackles him to the ground and it's a straight red! Professional foul! Finally Carragher gets caught out for what has been a repeated error in recent weeks. Perhaps Fergie's words after the United win had an effect...
    • 80' Dempsey will be all right after some treatment. It was a clumsy tackle from Degen but a straight red? He'll get a two-match ban as well, just after he got back in the first team.
    • 79' Degen slides late into Dempsey and it's a straight red! That was harsh, Dempsey is down hurt but it was clumsy and he hardly touched him, Liverpool down to 10 men.
    • 77' LIVERPOOL SUB: Young Nathan Ecclestone on for Benayoun, who was the most creative player left on the pitch.
    • 76' It seems Torres has a recurrence of that thigh injury so Benitez did not want to risk him.
    • 75' Fulham come forward again, Nevland low in from the right and Dempsey flies in but nicked away from him and ZAMORA but he blasts a tricky volley over!
    • 73' Kuyt slides in to keep the ball from going out for a throw, but a poor decision as Konchesky races on to the loose ball, he sprints past Degen and hangs over a testing cross that Reina can only palm away, it falls to Gera at the far post, the angle is too tight so he stoops to head it low across goal AND NEVLAND! OUTRAGEOUS BACKHEEL UNDER PRESSURE PAST REINA AND IN! 2-1 Fulham and the sub has scored an instinctive goal!
    • 71' The ball drops to Lucas on the edge of the box but he blasts it over.
    • 70' Fulham are sensing a win here as they show more ambition going forward, but Dempsey commits a foul and Liverpool can clear.
    • 68' Zamora almost plays Dempsey in but Nevland inexplicably sticks out a boot to get it away from the American.
    • 67' Zamora turns on the edge of the box and fires a rising drive that goes high and wide! Poor defending from Kyrgiakos again to let him spin so easily.
    • 65' Fulham seeing a lot more of the ball at the moment, as Zamora is shrugged off an aerial ball by Carragher.
    • 64' LIVERPOOL SUB: Benitez throws caution to the wind by bringing off Torres for, um, Babel. He seems fine too, odd decision. Maybe Babel will prove us wrong, although his boss probably has an eye on the must-win Champions League clash at Lyon.
    • 63' Dempsey is called for a slightly late one on Voronin that did not make contact with him, Liverpool keeping the ball anyway.
    • 62' They were shoulder to shoulder and there was no clear pull or push, just good defending from Carragher.
    • 61' Long from Baird and it sends Zamora through, he's in past Carragher who gets across him and both go down, Zamora is convinced it was a foul but no penalty!
    • 60' Benayoun flies in on Pantsil, who is furious that nothing was given.
    • 59' Diagonal ball frees Zamora on the left, he pings a super ball to Gera WHO TAKES IT ON THE CHEST, SPINS AND VOLLEYS but hits it weakly at Reina! Ooooh, if he'd make proper contact that would have been some goal.
    • 58' Fulham counter, Zamora shoulder-to-shoulder with Kyrgiakos who is somewhat fortunate to win the free kick after going down rather easily.
    • 57' Good turn and ball wide from Lucas to Degen but poor touch from the Swiss.
    • 56' Benayoun on the left but Pantsil closes him out and wins the throw.
    • 55' Greening has barely touched the ball, disappointing for the man handed a chance to impress in the Premier League.
    • 54' Konchesky gets the better of Kuyt but his low ball fails to find Zamora and Liverpool clear, Lucas is taken down by Baird and it's a yellow card.
    • 53' A lull in the match, even by this game's slow standards. Insua is ordered back to take the throw from the correct position.
    • 52' Fulham are trying to keep more possession after being outplayed in the first half.
    • 51' Torres goes down on the edge of the box, he thinks he should have a free-kick but nothing given.
    • 50' Fulham counter with men over and holes in the Liverpool defence, Dempsey through to Nevland but just behind him, it gets caught between his feet and Insua clears.
    • 49' Kuyt almost plays Torres in but too much weight on the ball so Schwarzer claims.
    • 48' Torres on the edge of the box tries a shot, blocked but it flies into the air and Kuyt and Voronin fly in on Schwarzer, who punches clear but the flag is up for offside.
    • 47' HALF-TIME DOUBLE FULHAM SUBS: Duff and Kamara are both injured, a big blow for Fulham. Nevland is on, as is Gera.
    • 46' Second half underway!!
    • - More pics from the game as they arrive on this link!
    • - Click here for a pic of Bobby Zamora celebrating Fulham's opener!
    • - A relatively clean game too - no cards and five fouls apiece, which is one every five minutes or so. Probably a function of the slower pace...
    • - STAT ATTACK!! Liverpool lead 2-1 both in terms of shots on and off target, and finish the half with over 60 per cent of the ball.
    • 45+1 Half-time and it's 1-1, Liverpool's Fernando Torres levelling Bobby Zamora's opener.
    • 45' One minute added time being played at the end of the first half.
    • 44' Liverpool are totally in control now, but not in the lead. They keep pressing for one more before the break with Fulham on the back foot...
    • 42' High one towards the box, Voronin tries the flick on which bounces off the falling Hughes's chest TO TORRES WHO DRILLS IT FIRST-TIME INTO THE BOTTOM LEFT FOR 1-1! Typical poacher's goal, half a chance and he snapped it up. Deserved leveller given Liverpool's control of the game.
    • 41' Carragher with a searching ball for Voronin but easy for Schwarzer to claim. Liverpool need to up the tempo - softly softly will not catch this monkey, which relishes a slower, continental tempo.
    • 40' Insua on the left but his cross is just over Lucas and Voronin's heads, back in from Degen but Schwarzer nervously punches clear.
    • 39' Bit scrappy from Fulham as the fail to get it clear, Degen now on the right, one-two with Kuyt and the Swiss plays it in but Hangeland will gobble them up all day, powering the header clear.
    • 37' Good play from Liverpool but a dreadful through ball from Voronin which turns into a nice back-pass to Schwarzer. They had men over too.
    • 37' More dodgy defending from Liverpool as they fall about in their own box after a routine high ball from Konchesky, Kyrgiakos slipping manages to head clear for a throw on the right.
    • 36' Liverpool have had 64% of the possession but, with only one shot on target apiece (which excludes the one that hit the bar) they've not really been any more effective.
    • 35' Voronin is offside after being played through.
    • 33' Liverpool still passing patiently enough but, with Fulham deep-lying and well-organised, they will need to be a touch more ambitious. Degen crosses deep but well beyond Torres.
    • 32' Long towards the Liverpool box as Fulham try to get the ball away from their under pressure goal. Cleared easily enough though, and eventually it runs back to Reina.
    • 31' Carragher swings it diagonal but too far for Benayoun on the left.
    • 30' Kuyt gets in a dangerous position on the edge of the box but Hangeland hoofs it clear.
    • 29' Kamara tries one from range but it flies well over.
    • 28' Liverpool keeping the ball well but struggling to find a final pass, they look a tiny bit shell-shocked after going behind very much against the run of play.
    • 26' Liverpool try to bite back quickly but Voronin gives it away on the edge of the box.
    • 24' That is Zamora's third league goal of the season so far, he ain't prolific but he creates a lot.
    • 23' Fulham with a rare spell of possession as Kamara feeds Duff left-centre, he drills it low to bisect the Liverpool defence AND ZAMORA IS UNMARKED ZAMORA SCORES!! 1-0 TO FULHAM! Kyrgiakos went to sleep there, totally out of position playing Zamora on and letting Duff's mis-hit cross find the big man.
    • 21' Voronin wide to Degen who puts a cross in that evades the Fulham defence and drops to Benayoun in the left corner of the box AND OFF THE BAR BY BENAYOUN! He controlled and smashed the ball high past Schwarzer but denied by the woodwork!
    • 19' Good one-touch play sees Benayoun on the left cut inside and spread it wide right, Degen and Kuyt combine, the Dutchman drills in a low cross for Torres on the penalty spot but god defending by Hughes to get in front of him, as the ball spins away for a throw.
    • 18' Pantsil flies into Torres, winning the ball and putting it out for a throw while leaving the Spain man in a heap on the ground, much to the delight of the home fans.
    • 17' Voronin wins a corner on the right and trots over to take it as Carragher and co come up. Easily headed clear by Hangeland though.
    • 16' Kuyt has it on the right, oh no he does not as it slips away from him and out for a throw.
    • 15' Benayoun takes it but very poor, straight into the wall.
    • 14' Kuyt gets away from Konchesky but Fulham close in around him. He switches it and Torres tries to play Lucas in, he goes down but no way was that a foul, Baird clatters into Torres and Liverpool have a free-kick just to the left of the D, very dangerous position...
    • 13' Liverpool keep the ball with Fulham sitting very, very deep as the pace slows down somewhat.
    • 12' Torres almost gets in but Hangeland stands firm to block his route and Pantsil hits it clear.
    • 11' Now Konchesky has it and puts in a fairly tepid cross but Liverpool almost make a mess of it until Insua hoofs it away.
    • 10' Torres gives it away and Fulham can counter, but Baird plays a poor pass down the channel with men either side of him and Zamora on the edge of the box. A defender's tackle.
    • 9' Insua manages to hoof it clear under pressure from Kamara but Fulham win it back, Lucas giving it away, Dempsey on the edge of the box can set Zamora free but the USA man over-hits the through ball, which Reina gathers.
    • 8' Lucas almost plays Torres through but Schwarzer gets there first. Torres trips over Schwarzer and is a touch shaken but fine.
    • 7' Konchesky gets forward down the left and cuts it back to Dempsey, whose excellent crossfield pass is mis-controlled by Duff, Benayoun brings it away and wins a free-kick.
    • 6' Voronin will take this one and he swings a dangerous one on Schwarzer, who can only punch clear, drops to Mascherano on the edge of the D, his shot is blocked and Fulham survive!
    • 5' Duff clatters into Torres, Liverpool have a free-kick on the left wing 10 yards from the edge of the box.
    • 4' Dempsey surges forward as Fulham potentially have men forward, but he plays a dreadful through ball 10 yards ahead of Zamora to his left and it is easily cleared by Liverpool.
    • 3' Hangeland has to put it out for a throw after Degen put it in from the right, good spell of pressure from the visitors.
    • 2' Great ball from Kuyt withdrawn on the right and Voronin flies in with the header but gets it all wrong, nodding it into the ground and well wide.
    • 1' Slow start, Liverpool playing it cautiously back to Reina, who pumps it long for Konchesky to labour with and win a throw off Kuyt.
    • 1' Match underway at Craven Cottage!
    • - Referee: Lee Mason (England)
    • - The Reds stick some of the players that lost to Arsenal in the cup, with Degen and Kyrgiakos continuing at the back and Kuyt, Insua and Voronin retaining their slots. Mascherano is back, as are Lucas, Benayoun and big bad Fernando Torres. Reina comes in for Cavalieri in goal, with the Brazilian out of the squad. No Steven Gerrard as expected, with Glen Johnson also out and Babel, Spearing and Plessis on the bench, where there is no N'Gog. Classic Benitez rotation.
    • - Liverpool team: Reina, Degen, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Insua, Kuyt, Mascherano, Lucas, Benayoun, Voronin, Torres; Subs: Gulacsi, Babel, Spearing, Plessis, Dossena, Eccleston, Ayala
    • - Baird gets another start in midfield, with Murphy and Davies out, although Etuhu is back on the bench. He is partnered by Jonathan Greening. Otherwise, no surprises for the Whites with Kamara partnering Zamora up front.
    • - Fulham team: Schwarzer, Pantsil, Hughes, Hangeland, Konchesky, Dempsey, Baird, Greening, Duff, Zamora, Kamara; Subs: Zuberbuhler, Kelly, Nevland, Gera, Riise, Etuhu, Smalling
    • - Rafael Benitez admits Steven Gerrard's fitness is causing increasing concern with the midfielder facing a defining week in his recovery from a groin problem. Full story here!
    • - Steven Gerrard and Glen Johnson are out for the Reds, with Alberto Aquilani still feeling the effects of a virus. More on that here!
    • - Fulham are just in the bottom half but have a game in hand which, if won, would propel them into the top half of the standings. They're still without striker Andy Johnson though, whose niggling groin injury has got the better of him. Simon Davies, Dickson Etuhu and Danny Murphy are all still out, which means Jonathan Greening could be in line for a start.
    • - The build-up to today's Premier League clash between Fulham and Liverpool starts here! The Whites have been in good form recently, beating Hull 2-0 and picking up creditable draws at home to Roma in the Europa League and at Manchester City in the Prem. The Reds, meanwhile, are feeling good despite their midweek Carling Cup defeat to Arsenal, as they came off a poor run of form to down Manchester United last weekend. Should be a cracker!
    • - None of the previous eight Premier League meetings between these two sides at Fulham have ended level.
    • - Fulham have scored only one goal in their last six Premier League meetings with Liverpool, failing to score in any of the last four.
    • - Villa are unbeaten in six Premier League games against the Toffees and have found the net in 10 consecutive games against them in the top-flight.
  • Summary

  11. to LFC fans and not the fools of other lesser clubs - The following info is from a person in very close contact to LFC staff including Dalglish. Do you remember the rumours in the summer about LFC signing David Villa? Well, Villa was flown over to Anfield via private jet and came in unnoticed and behind closed doors. He was pictured wearing an LFC shirt at Anfield so the media would not know about it. This is because a Ł35m deal was agreed with Voronin also being sold to Hertha Berlin and Ngog going on loan to Watford. Here is the key - Gillett had a few reservations but was ok with the deal, however, TOM HICKS would not sanction the deal, so the lot fell apart. Hence, we have no other recognised striker, Voronin is still at the club and Ngog is our best striker after Torres. Of course, Rafa can not say anything about this without further disruption.

Is Rafa to blame for our current situation? Other than SG & JC it is his squad, and so yes. Mixed with ridiculous selections and substitutions etc, the buck stops with him as they say. But consider the impact of the yanks in this scene, incredible.

Wasn't it sweet to beat manure AGAIN? Thank you for stopping our run of defeats.
