    • - Fernando Torres is expected to start though, as is Glen Johnson who also missed the midweek Champions League defeat to Lyon.
    • - But Benitez will not be helped by the doubts over Steven Gerrard's fitness. The Liverpool captain has been included in the squad, but may not feature because of a groin strain.
    • - That said, three points for his beleaguered side could well provide the springboard they need to turn around their season. Don't forget, anything can happen in a derby game and the form book may not necessarily have any bearing on the game. Alex Ferguson said as much in midweek.
    • - Nothing but victory will do for Rafa Benitez, who finds himself under immense pressure after having come in for stiff criticism over the past few weeks for the first time in his Liverpool career.

    with no stevie and a 70% torres
    a very­ tight midfield with jossi, fabio, the beist, lucas and­ dirk running things !
    at the back johnson and and­ insua kept the wing open
    jamie and daniel with a bit of­ luck ! kept with pepe the house clean...
    manchester utd­ had NO chance even with 1000 beach balls in the box­ they would not have scored a goal !!

    utd are missing­ ronaldo more than they would like to say !
    they are­ becoming old, a minimum 3 of their main players all­ well over 30
    yes they have experience but with no­ speed (rio vs torres 1-0) it still leaves you open !
