    • 90'+7 And there it is! All over at Old Trafford and United win it in the most dramatic of fashions! What an incredible game! United win it 4-3, thanks to Owen's late, late heroics!
    • 90'+6 GOAL! AMAZING! AMAZING! WHAT A FINISH! OWEN SCORES! OWEN SCORES! The substitute grabs all three points at the death with a lovely finish with the outside of his boot! 4-3!
    • 90'+3 Another change for United... Carrick on for Anderson.
    • 90'+1 GOAL! INCREDIBLE! BELLAMY SCORES! IT'S 3-3! But what a terrible mistake by Ferdinand! What is he doing, trying to flick the ball over Bellamy on the halfway line? Bellamy takes full advantage, sprinting clear before rounding Foster, getting to the byline and sliding from an acute angle into the back of the net! Amazing!
    • 89' Oooh! SWP forces a save from Foster with a crisp drive as City break before the ball is whipped across the face of United's goal! But Richards can't quite get react quick enough! Two real chances for a late City equaliser!
    • 87' Anderson! Oooh! Not too far away from the Brazilian as he curls one towards the far post!
    • 85' Just five minutes to hang on for United... but they still look in control of this one...
    • 83' City make a change... Petrov for De Jong. City have to get forward if they are to get something from this one...
    • 82' What a game! This is what a derby should be like!
    • 81' GOAL! UNITED TAKE THE LEAD FOR A THIRD TIME! AND IT'S FLETCHER AGAIN! It's almost identical to his first as Giggs whips in a free-kick and he rises highest to head past Given! 3-2 now!
    • 79' Giggs with another centre in the danger area... but it won't reach Valencia.
    • 78' Owen replaces Berbatov, who should really have got on the scoresheet today - and would have had it not been for Given.
    • 75' Valencia crosses now... Rooney attempts the spectacular, but he fails to connect and Given snatches the ball.
    • 73' Here comes Michael Owen.... he'll be given a chance to become a United hero with a late goal against their local rivals...
    • 72' Giggs to Berbatov again... but it's ever so slightly too high for the Bulgarian, who heads over! Giggs is very influential at the moment!
    • 70' GIGGS! NO! GIVEN AGAIN TO CITY'S RESCUE! This time, Giggs lashes a half-volley goalwards, only to see Given beat it behind for a corner! The champions are rampant at the moment!
    • 70' It's all United at the moment... if it wasn't for Given, City would be behind.
    • 69' BERBATOV AGAIN! And again anothe fine save by Given to deny Berbatov a header after lovely work by Giggs on the left!
    • 68' Vidic gets to a corner now! His header is on target, but again it's cleared before reaching the net!
    • 67' Purposeful run by Evra but his pass looking for the overlapping Rooney falls short and the move breaks down.
    • 65' BERBATOV! Oooh! Denied by a fine reaction save by Given! Berbatov was unmarked from the corner there.... he perhaps should have found the back of the net! City have Given to thank once again...
    • 62' United make a change... Park off, Valencia on. He's got half an hour to make an impression.
    • 60' Rooney sends over a teasing cross for Giggs to get on the end of... he does, but his header goes wide of the mark!
    • 59' Giggs takes the free-kick, but it's poor and headed clear by Ireland.
    • 58' Bellamy hacks at Anderson, who hits the deck in some pain... and the City man will go into the book for that.
    • 57' This is such an open game now...
    • 56' Wonderful stuff from Giggs as he skips past two players... but his final ball lets him down and it goes behind for a City goal kick.
    • 54' What a start to the second half! This is a real derby.... impossible to call at the moment!
    • 53' Park again is allowed to strike on goal! But again the Korean is off target!
    • 52' GOAL! BELLAMY PULLS CITY LEVEL! WHAT A STRIKE! WHAT A GAME! City break and Bellamy simply lamps it into the top right hand corner, leaving Foster no chance at all! Unbelievable! 2-2 now!
    • 52' Oooh! Another chance for United! Rooney feeds the overlapping Giggs who stabs goalwards! Great stop by Given, who saves with his legs!
    • 51' Oooh! Park lashes high and wide as the ball falls to him on the corner of the City box!
    • 50' Replays show the header to have taken a little nick off Barry, but no matter! United lead and City will have to come from behind again if they are to get something from this game!
    • 49' GOAL! FLETCHER RESTORES UNITED'S LEAD! Evra and Giggs link before the latter delivers a cross towards Fletcher, who rises high to head past Given! 2-1 now and United have started the second half in a similar vein to the first!
    • 47' Rooney fires an early free-kick into the wall and Given isn't tested at all.
    • 46' No changes to tell you about, just an incident as Tevez headed in at half-time... the Stretford End gave him a load of abuse but he reacted by applauding them, apparently innocently enough. But an object was thrown which hit Javier Garrido instead of its intended target...
    • 46' Back underway at Old Trafford!
    • 45'+4 And there goes the half-time whistle! 1-1 at the break and what a half it's been! Rooney opened the scoring early on, only for Tevez to force an opening for an equaliser for Barry. Tevez then got booked and hit the post! Plenty more action to come...
    • 45'+3 Bellamy strikes it! Against the wall but it drops to Lescott who lashes over the bar!
    • 45'+1 Evra hacks at SWP and City will have a free-kick late on in the first half...
    • 44' TEVEZ HITS THE POST! It all stewms from a careless back heel by Rooney that allows Toure to advance forward... he plays it in, Ireland leaves it and Tevez gets on the end of it! But his shot strikes the outside of Foster's upright! So close! What a story that would have been!
    • 43' Vidic now goes into the book as he hauls down SWP after the City speedster does him for pace.
    • 42' 'You haven't got the money' is the cry from City's support. 'USA, USA' is the United retort!
    • 41' Tevez again hassles a member of the United defence... this time it's Evra who is put under pressure by the City striker.
    • 39' Anderson piles into Bellamy, but it turns out worse for him as the City striker's studs catch him on the ankle...
    • 38' Rooney steps over it... Giggs whips it in... Berbatov is there! But his header flies over the bar! Replays show the Bulgarian was offside when the ball came in anyway...
    • 37' Giggs is muscled off the ball by Richards... and the whistle sounds. Free kick to United, but that's a bit harsh on the City defender.
    • 35' Anderson is pulled up for a challenge on his old pal Tevez... and he'll get booked for it...
    • 33' United finally get out of their own half as Rooney robs Barry of the ball before firing over with a rather off-balance shot on goal!
    • 32' Headed clear by the United defence, but this is a good little period of pressure from City.
    • 31' But Park puts United straight back onto the defensive as Park again makes a poor challenge... another free-kick for City, this time from a wide position!
    • 30' Tevez strikes it! But the wall does its job!
    • 29' Park trips Ireland about 30 yards out, dead centre... there could be danger here. Tevez, inevitably, is over it.
    • 28' Evra now scythes down SWP on the far side... free-kick but no further action from referee Atkinson.
    • 27' Ferdinand is brought down by Tevez! That's a real striker's challenge from the Argentine! He apologises straight away, but the ref is going to book him anyway. Cue yet more jeers from the home crowd!
    • 26' Park and Rooney link up well as United come forward... but the former's final ball into the box finds a blue shirt.
    • 25' Tevez on the ball again - more boos - but Fletcher gets the better of him this time and City's foray forward breaks down.
    • 24' Here comes Evra who marauds forward... until he's tackled by the tracking De Jong! Great stuff!
    • 22' Tevez gets in a header from SWP's cross from the right... his effort bounces on the top of Foster's net...
    • 19' The goal has knocked the stuffing out of United for the moment... and things are looking a great deal more even out there.
    • 17' Great stuff from both Tevez and Barry, but what on earth was Foster doing? All he had to do was boot it out of play - surely that is the best tactic with someone like Tevez sniffing around.
    • 16' GOAL! CITY EQUALISE THROUGH BARRY! But it's all about the persistance of Tevez, who hassles and harries Foster as the keeper tries to turn back into his box, where he can pick the ball up, instead of booting into the stands! With Foster scrambling and eventually going to ground, Tevez wins the ball off him before playing across to Barry who coolly finds the corner of the net! City are back on level terms!
    • 14' Berbatov lets fly as Lescott allows his to turn and get off a shot... over the bar this time, but City need to tighten up at the back...
    • 12' City now have a chance to play the ball around a bit... but United don't give them long on the ball and win it back soon enough.
    • 11' Here come City now as SWP runs onto a long ball through... his ball into the box is a decent one, but Tevez can't quite reach it and Foster claims.
    • 10' Giggs whips in the free-kick, but it's headed clear at the first line of City defence...
    • 9' Anderson wins a free-kick as he skips past Barry, who sticks out a leg and fells the Brazilian...
    • 8' United really have started excellently. But here come City with Bridge... but his ball through looking for Bellamy is overhit and Foster can claim.
    • 6' Cracking atmoshpere inside Old Trafford today... and United really seem up for it.
    • 5' Tevez gets his first proper touch... and he's roundly booed.
    • 4' That's Rooney's seventh goal of the season in all competitions... but what was the City defence doing then?
    • 3' What a start for the hosts! And the crowd love it! They're already goading the visiting support about their chances of winning a trophy!
    • 2' GOAL! INCREDIBLE START FOR UNITED! AND IT'S ROONEY WHO OPENS THE SCORING! City switch off as a quick throw is taken to Evra, who is left all alone! He picks out Rooney but he still has plenty to do... he stays on his feet to ride one challenge before slotting past Given to give United the lead!
    • 2' Hesitation as Vidic plays the ball back to his keeper... TEVEZ hares off after it and Foster hammers his clearance against the Argentine's legs!
    • 2' A Bridge header only reaches Berbatov, but the Bulgarian is muscled off the ball and the slight chance disappears as quickly as it arrived...
    • 2' City kick off, playing right to left as we look at it. Both teams in their traditional colours, as it always the way when the red and blue of Manchester meet.
    • 1' Here we go! Underway in bright sunshine in Manchester!
    • - It's all smiles in the tunnel as Tevez hugs some of his former team-mates, but when he enters the stadium the boos ring out! To be expected, but does he look a might mystified?!
    • - For City, Tevez gets the change to say hello to his former fans, with Bellamy starting alongside him in the absence of Adebayor, Robinho and Santa Cruz. Otherwise, it's as expected in for Mark Hughes's side.
    • - So, Ferguson goes for Anderson and Fletcher in the centre of his midfield, with Park and Giggs in the wide roles. Carrick has to settle for a place on the bench. Rio Ferdinand is fit to play and partner Nemanja Vidic in the middle of defence.
    • - Today's referee is Martin Atkinson (W Yorkshire).
    • - And City: Given, Richards, Lescott, Toure, Bridge, Wright-Phillips, Barry, De Jong, Ireland, Bellamy, Tevez - Subs: Taylor, Zabaleta, Garrido, Petrov, Weiss, Ball, Sylvinho
    • - The full teams are in! Here's how United line up: Foster, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Park, Anderson, Fletcher, Giggs, Berbatov, Rooney - Subs: Kuszczak, Neville, Owen, Carrick, Nani, Jonathan Evans, Valencia
    • - More team news as and when we get it...
    • - If they win today City will become only the fifth ever Premier League team to win their opening five matches of the season after Newcastle United (1994-95), Arsenal (2004-05), Chelsea (2005-06) and Chelsea again (2009-10).
    • - Michael Owen is likely to start on the bench for United, but if he comes on, he will do so in the knowledge that he has a great record against City keeper Shay Given - he's put 10 Premier League goals past the Irishman, including two hat-tricks.
    • - United have won their last two PL matches against City without conceding a goal, since losing 2-1 at Old Trafford in February 2008 - City's only win in their last 25 top flight visits to Old Trafford.
    • - Of the 140 league derbies played to date, United have won 55, City 37 and there have been 48 draws.
    • - It'll certainly be interesting to see what kind of reception Tevez gets. He thinks he will be welcomed warmly by his former fans, most others believe he will be jeered for his defection across town.
    • - Most pre-match talk has centred on the return to Old Trafford of Carlos Tevez. The news just in is that he will start, having shaken off his knock!
    • - City head into the game level on 12 points with United, who have played a game more, and victory for Mark Hughes's side today will send take them second in the Premier League, level on points with current leaders Chelsea, who play Tottenham later in the day.
    • - Having spent megabucks over the summer, City are looking like they can finally emerge from United's shadow. Certainly the four wins from four so far this season have made their local rivals sit up and take notice.
    • - United welcome City to Old Trafford for the 141st Manchester derby in the league, with both teams having enjoyed good starts to the new season so far.
