Chelsea cruise to win at Sunderland
Chelsea staged a second-half fight-back to win 3-1 at Sunderland and make it two Premier League wins out of two this season. More

90+3 Final whistle, a comfortable win for Chelsea in the end after a rather uncomfortable first half.- 90+2 Long one from Sunderland almost releases Bent but Terry and Ivanovic are both back in time to shepherd it back to Cech.
- 90+1 Sturridge tries a cheeky lob but Fulop gets back to claim.
- 89' Three minutes of added time being played.
- 87' Corner to Chelsea on the left which Lampard swings in. A poor clearance by McCartney allows Sturridge to get it on the right, he cuts inside and drills in a low shot but wide.

CHELSEA MAKE IT 3-1! What a goal! Lovely football from Chelsea and Deco goes some way to disproving the doubters, he is back and in some style!

Their confidence looks shot after conceding two quick goals.

- 54' A long ball is chased by Jones and Ivanovic pulls him down on the edge of the box and he could be in trouble! Only a yellow card but, really, that could have been red! Terry adjudged to have been back in time for him not to have been last man.

- 49' Chelsea win a succession of corners, the first tipped over by Fulop.

- 47' Calm defending by Collins to nod the ball back to Fulop after Chelsea again put pressure on the Sunderland goal.
46' Second half underway!- - A lot of you are leaving comments decrying a "rubbish" formation being played by Chelsea, although the graphic does not do it justice - Cole and Bosingwa are almost playing as wingers so it is more a 3-4-2-1...

- 45+1 Half-time, Sunderland lead Chelsea 1-0 thanks to Darren Bent's second goal in two games!
- 45' Ironic cheers from the home support as Ivanovic is penalised for unfairly challenging a high ball with Jones.
- 44' Good bustling centre-forward play by Jones to win a corner.
- 42' The crowd cheer as Richardson robs Cole in his own half, Richardson comes forward but tries an ambitious dribble, all on his own, and Terry clears.
- 41' Kalou centre-right, wide to Bosingwa who cuts past McCartney and tries a cross with his team-mates lining up but a poor, poor delivery almost flat to the penalty spot and Sunderland clear.
- 40' Kalou cuts in from the right and tries a shot but it goes well over.

- 23' Henderson with another foul on Cole, this time a shirt-pull as the England left-back got away from him. Chelsea win a corner through Kalou on the right.
- 22' Chelsea on the charge, Deco gets it on the edge of the box and he flashes an outswinging shot that flies just wide of the right-hand post! Great effort, just curved too much at the end.
- 21' Sunderland come forward again on the right but Bent's cross is high and out for a goal kick.

BENT SCORES AGAIN!! A classic poacher's finish after a lucky break, Sunderland lead!!
- 18' Sunderland counter now but Chelsea hold firm. Throw to the Black Cats on the left.
- 17' Deco long into the left channel, Cole chases but a heavy first touch sends it away from him although he slides in to make contact and put it into the box but Fulop is there to claim at the near post.
- 16' Chelsea have a corner on the right, swung in by Lampard and Drogba flies in as the ball bounces but cleared by Sunderland!
- 15' Another poor, poor delivery, Deco this time, Sunderland clear.
- 14' Good break from Chelsea, Essien and Kalou combine to send Bosingwa into the box down the right, he cuts the ball back to Ballack but behind him and the whistle has gone for a free-kick just outside the box. The referee played advantage but, as it came to nothing, pulled the play back – Bosingwa had his shirt pulled by Bardsley.
- 13' Not a very good corner by Lampard, Sunderland clear and go straight down the other end, Henderson chases it down the right but Cole will get there first and CRUNCH a late one from Henderson, who tries to play on claiming he got the ball but that was a definite foul.
- 12' Fulop makes a mess of dealing with a low cross by Ballack down the right after some good play by Bosingwa.
- 10' Chelsea have had a bit more possession in this opening 10 minutes but Sunderland look fairly dangerous on the break with the visitors susceptible to the pace of Bent it seems.
- 8' Essien on the right, he cuts inside past Cattermole after his poor clearance, the Ghanaian has a chance to shoot from the edge of the D but he puts it miles over, getting well under the ball there.
- 6' Henderson almost cuts into the box from the right but he is crowded out by a cluster of blue shirts.
- 5' Chelsea counter and Deco, playing off Drogba, gets in and tries to combine with Kalou but a good block by Collins I think and Sunderland survive.
