    • 90'+5 There it is! All over at White Hart Lane and Spurs register a 2-0 win to move into a Champions League place!
    • 89' Five minutes of additional time is signalled...
    • 86' Spurs are just trying to keep the ball now and see out time...
    • 83' Oooh! Turner is denied a header by a great save from Gomes! The Brazilian's having a great game!
    • 82' Wait a minute though... Dawson concedes a corner...
    • 80' Ten minutes left and incresingly it looks unlikely that Sunderland are going to get anything from this game.
    • 77' Here's another change... Steed Malbranque departs to a decent round of applause from his former fans and is replaced by Healy. Meanwhile Ferdinand comes on for Bardsley.
    • 76' Spurs are well on top once again now... Palacios wins another corner for the hosts...
    • 75' Oooh! So close to a third for Spurs! He lashes inches wide of the post... in fact it took a deflection behind for a corner!
    • 69' Again, that seems harsh on Sunderland, who have again had chances to get back into it this half.
    • 68' GOAL! HUDDLESTONE WITH A PILEDRIVER! What a stunning strike from the Spurs midfielder! Defoe tees him up beautifully on the edge of the area and Huddlestone powers the ball into the back of the net off the underside of the cross bar! 2-0 Spurs!
    • 66' Gordon can't continue and he's replaced by Marton Fulop in the Sunderland goal...
    • 65' Turner is penalised for a foul on Defoe and Spurs have a free-kick in a dangerous position...
    • 63' Spurs make a change now... goalscorer Keane is replaced by Kranjcar.
    • 62' Bent now heads on target! Straight at Gomes though...
    • 61' Richardson feeds Malbranque who takes it in his stride before firing on target! Gomes is there again!
    • 60' With Gordon still down, Spurs make a change... Dawson comes on for King.
    • 59' Gordon is still down, receiving treatment for that blow on his arm he took off Defoe.
    • 57' Gordon is hurt as he dives at the feet of Defoe... he makes the save but it comes out to Huddlestone, who fires wide of the mark! Bardsley is fuming Spurs did not stop so Gordon could get treatment...
    • 54' Malbranque lets fly from outside the box... it's deflected slightly, but Gomes is not put off and he makes the save!
    • 52' Bent steps up to take the penalty himself... SAVED BY GOMES! The Brazilian guesses the right way and he palms the ball away to safety!
    • 51' PENALTY! Bent is played through on goal by Malbranque! He pushes the ball past Gomes and, while he is clearly looking for the penalty, Gomes clearly brings him down... only yellow for the keeper though!
    • 50' Richardson cuts inside from the left hand side... it opens up a little for him! But he slices his shot terribly and the ball flies well wide of Gomes's upright.
    • 48' Turner is booked for that trip on Defoe, just as the Spurs striker looks to get away...
    • 46' No changes at the break to tell you about...
    • 46' Here we go! Back underway at White Hart Lane!
    • 45'+4 There goes the half-time whistle! Spurs take a 1-0 lead in with them, but Sunderland have had their chances to get back into it!
    • 45'+2 Bardsley is left all alone at the back post to meet a corner with a header... but it hits the side netting, when he was probably better heading back into the mixer...
    • 45' This is good stuff from Sunderland, instigated by Reid... but the final ball into the Spurs box is too long and sails over Bent's head at the back stick.
    • 44' Defoe tries his luck on the turn... his effort goes wide, and he's pulled up for handball anyway...
    • 42' Richardson looks like he might expose King's lack of pace... he gets there first, but his first touch is poor and the ball runs out for a Spurs goal kick.
    • 41' Sunderland have come right back into this one now... and Spurs look a little shaky at the back...
    • 40' Chance for Richardson following a terrible header back towards Gomes by Corluka! But Gomes is quick off his line to block Richardson's effort at point blank range! Still no way through for Sunderland...
    • 38' Henderson is booked for a wild tackle on Palacios...
    • 37' Oooh! Off the post! What an effort by Reid from long range! He tees himself up off his chest before volleying over Gomes only to be denied by the upright!
    • 35' It looks like it's the elbow of Gomes that is giving him jip... but he's going to be okay to continue...
    • 34' Gomes appears to have been injured in that challenge on Bent... maybe he did make contact with the Sunderland man...
    • 33' Campbell chases what looks to be a lost cause... he does really well to keep it in and send a cross back into the box where Bent arrive! Penalty shout as the Sunderland man goes over the challenge of Gomes! But the ref waves play on!
    • 30' Palacios does well to shield the ball before playing it to Jenas... but he can't make anything of his advanced position and move breaks down.
    • 29' Henderson pounces on a loose ball and fires on goal! But Huddlestone gets in the way to make the block! Or rather he puts his balls on the line... that looks painful!
    • 27' That's poor from Woodgate though as the defender humps a long ball forward to no one in particular... Redknapp doesn't look too pleased about that one.
    • 26' Spurs are keeping the ball well at the moment...
    • 25' Here come Spurs again, roared on by the home crowd...
    • 23' Bardsley fires a shot across the face of goal... Gomes dives in the direction of the ball, but it whistles wide of the mark!
    • 20' Spurs are bossing possession now... and the stats prove it - over 60 per cent.
    • 19' Fabio Capello is in the stands today... no doubt checking out the form of the likes of Crouch and Defoe.
    • 18' Richardson lets off a shot with a first-time effort from Malbranque's ball into him! But he drags his effort wide of the mark...
    • 17' Jenas bursts forward now... Crouch wants it, but the midfielder ignores him and is eventually dispossessed on the edge of the Sunderland box.
    • 16' Bent flicks on for Campbell... but Assou-Ekotto does enough to shepherd the ball back to Gomes...
    • 15' Huddlestone, Keane and Jenas play the ball around amongst themselves in the middle of the park... and the home crowd appreciate that!
    • 14' And all of a sudden, Spurs are knocking the ball around with confidence! Amazing what a goal can do...
    • 13' That's harsh on Sunderland, who have been the better of the two sides so far.
    • 12' GOAL! SPURS TAKE THE LEAD! Keane bundles the ball home from Crouch's nod back across the face of goal! Gordon does well to save Keane's initial volley, but there's nothing he can do on the follow-up! Spurs lead 1-0!
    • 9' Defoe wants a free-kick here, but he's not going to get one....
    • 8' Spurs' impressive strike force are yet to get a look in... although Keane wins a free-kick off Bardsley now... and the referee has a word with the Sunderland man for his high foot.
    • 7' Sunderland have started very brightly indeed....
    • 6' Bent now delivers a great ball into the Spurs box! Richardson and Henderson are both there! But the latter can't get anything on it and the ball goes all the way through!
    • 3' Richardson with neat back heel towards Campbell... but there's no way through this time for the Black Cats...
    • 2' Here comes Malbranque as Sunderland make the early running... Gomes claims the eventual cross from the left wing though.
    • 1' Here we go! Underway at White Hart Lane!
    • - Sunderland are missing both Kenwyne Jones and Lorik Cana through suspension so Darren Bent is paired with Fraizer Campbell up front.
    • - So, Jermain Defoe returns in a line-up which includes both Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane. Jonathan Woodgate returns at centre-half in the absence of the injured Sebastien Bassong and Ledley King makes a rare appearance.
    • - And today's referee is Kevin Friend (Leicestershire).
    • - Sunderland: Gordon, Bardsley, Turner, Da Silva, McCartney, Malbranque, Henderson, Richardson, Andy Reid, Bent, Campbell. Subs: Fulop, Ferdinand, Nosworthy, Murphy, Meyler, Healy, Adam Reid
    • - Tottenham: Gomes, Corluka, King, Woodgate, Assou-Ekotto, Jenas, Huddlestone, Palacios, Keane, Crouch, Defoe. Subs: Alnwick, Hutton, Bale, Bentley, Pavlyuchenko, Dawson, Kranjcar
    • - Sunderland have picked up four of their 17 points away from home this season, and scored only five of their 20 PL goals on the road.
    • - The Black Cats have failed to win in their last four away matches, the last coming in a 1-0 victory at Bolton Wanderers on the opening day of the season.
    • - Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has not won in his last 17 Premier League visits to London as a manager, losing 12 times, since his Birmingham City side won 3-2 at Fulham in December 2004.
    • - At the other end, Spurs are struggling of late and it has been a total of 225 minutes since their last goal - Defoe after 45 minutes of their 2-1 win at Portsmouth on October 17.
    • - The next goal Spurs concede at White Hart Lane will be the 400th against them at home in the Premier League - the first team to reach this milestone in Premier League history.
    • - Spurs and Sunderland have met 92 times in the league. Tottenham Hotspur have won 33, Sunderland 34 and there have been 25 draws.
    • - Sunderland can field ex-Spurs players Darren Bent and Fraizer Campbell up front.
    • - Winger Aaron Lennon is rated 50-50 while Honduran midfielder Wilson Palacios will be up against Steve Bruce, who brought him to Britain when he was in charge of Birmingham City in 2007.
    • - Harry Redknapp will be boosted by the return of Jermain Defoe from suspension but Spurs are without defender Sebastien Bassong who picked up a hamstring injury at Arsenal.
    • - Tottenham welcome Sunderland to White Hart Lane hoping to bounce back from a disappointing defeat in last weekend's North London derby.
