    Time:90'
    • West Ham United
    • Tottenham Hotspur
    • 90'+6 There goes the final whistle and there is to be no late comeback by West Ham as Spurs continue their great start to the new season!
    • 90'+5 Defoe is brought off to howls of derision... Kyle Naughton comes on to replace the goalscorer!
    • 90'+1 Defoe and Faubert clash... Clattenburg takes the advice of his linesman and the fourth official... yellow for the Frenchman for losing the plot a little...
    • 89' And that will be Collison's last input today as he is replaced by Nouble...
    • 88' Collison! Oooh! So nearly a late bit of drama! But he can't quite get there and the chance goes begging!
    • 87' Modric is replaced by O'Hara as Spurs look to sit on their lead...
    • 85' Defoe forces a save from Green with a sharp strike from the edge of the area! Crouch is there on the rebound! No! Green reacts quickest!
    • 85' West Ham make a second change... Hines comes on for Parker... an attacking switch, that one...
    • 84' Stanislas blasts over the bar as West Ham look to grab a late equaliser...
    • 83' Chance for a third for Spurs! But Lennon's ball is in behind both Crouch and Defoe!
    • 80' And Spurs make a change.... Keane is replaced by Crouch...
    • 79' GOAL! LENNON GIVES SPURS THE LEAD! Corluka slips the ball into the winger, who then turns inside Spector before lashing past Green into the far left-hand corner! 2-1 now!
    • 78' Here comes the first change of the day... Kovac comes on for Jiminez, who has impressed at times on his home debut today.
    • 75' Time running out for either side to nick a winner... just a quarter of an hour remaining...
    • 72' COLE! Oooh! Close from the West Ham striker, who cuts inside from Spector's upfield ball before unleashing a low drive that whistles just the wrong side of the upright!
    • 70' Great header from Jiminez from a corner! And an even better save by Cudicini to turn it round the post!
    • 66' Assou-Ekotto has been lasered! Yes, the Spurs full-back has been subjected to a laser attack from a fan as he takes a throw-in! By laser attack, we mean someone in the crowd has pointed a laser pen in his direction... no one really noticed, but considering the fuss over a similar incident involving Cristiano Ronaldo at Lyon a couple of years ago, we certainly haven't heard the end of this one!
    • 65' Spurs' subs are all warming up down on the touchline... could be a change coming up soon.
    • 63' Faubert puts in a superb challenge on Assou-Ekotto - hard, but fair. And the home crowd love that king of committment!
    • 61' This has got a real derby feeling to it now! Chances at either end!
    • 60' Jiminez jinks past Assou-Ekotto and into the box... he hits the deck but referee Mark Clattenburg waves play on! The locals don't like that one!
    • 59' Oooh! Lennon crosses to the far post where Modric heads into the side netting! Another great chance goes begging!
    • 58' Lennong sees a cross-shot pawed away by Green as Spurs really come back into the game!
    • 55' Hero to zero in the space of five minutes! What was Cole thinking of then?
    • 54' GOAL! DEFOE LEVELS THINGS UP FOR SPURS! It's a great finish from the England man, but it was gifted to him by... Carlton Cole of all people! Having put the Hammers ahead just minutes earlier, Cole plays a perfect through ball to Defoe, who smashes past Green to draw Spurs level! 1-1 now and Cole holds his head in shame!
    • 51' Spurs need to react now... perhaps Harry will consider bringing on Crouch or Pavlyuchenko.
    • 50' What a strike from the England striker... Capello will have to be impressed by that one...
    • 49' GOAL! CARLTON COLE GIVES WEST HAM THE LEAD! What a strike it is! It stems from a long kick from the keeper... Cole takes one touch, turns and finds the back of the net with a stunning strike from 25 yards out!
    • 47' Parker hares off after a hopeful punt forward... he takes it on the first attempt, but Assou-Ekotto is there to clear for Spurs!
    • 46' Back underway at Upton Park! No changes to tell you about!
    • 45'+3 And there goes the half-time whistle! It remains goalless at the break, but Ledley King came closest, seeing a header hit the bar.
    • 45'+2 Collison slips the offside trap and gets to the byline... but his pull back is headed clear by King!
    • 45'+1 Assou-Ekotto finally comes back on to complete the remainder of the first half...
    • 45' Lovely play by Stanislas as he skins Corluka on the left... he gets to the byline before centring... Cole! No! He doesn't attack the ball and it ends up bypassing everyone!
    • 44' Neat footwork now by Cole, but his final ball finds a white shirt...
    • 43' Assou-Ekotto limps off the pitch and Spurs are down to 10 men for the time being.
    • 42' Parker goes in hard once again, this time on Assou-Ekotto... and the Spurs man comes out of the challenge worse off!
    • 41' Spurs in possession at the moment and playing the ball around nicely...
    • 38' Faubert does really well to get in a cross from the West Ham right... Jiminez loses King to get his head to it, but Corluka does just enough to put the former Inter striker off!
    • 36' Chance for West Ham as King misjudges a long ball foward... Cole is on it, but Bassong comes the Spurs' rescue!
    • 33' Modric again! This time his effort is on target, but Green gets down well to make the save! Spurs are edging closer to opening the scoring!
    • 32' MODRIC! Ooh! Close from the Spurs schemer! Advantage is played after Keane is brought down by Parker and Modric sends a right footed curler inches wide of the post!
    • 30' OFF THE BAR BY KING! From the free-kick the Spurs skipper helps it on its way with a looping header that bounces off the cross bar! Spurs in the ascendency!
    • 29' Jiminez goes into the book for a blatent obstruction and Spurs have a free-kick...
    • 28' Chance for Bassong! The summer signing gets on the end of a looping ball into the box... his first touch is good but as he turns, he prods wide of the mark! Great chance!
    • 27' Assou-Ekotto wins another corner for Spurs as his attempted cross is deflected behind... Modric slips as he takes it... it goes to Huddlestone on the edge of the area and he lets fly... deflected into the path of Keane, who fires wide! The flag is up on the far side though, and it wouldn't have counted anyway...
    • 26' The ball falls kindly to Cole at the other end... but again it's blocked... the game's livening up now!
    • 25' Huddlestone with another effort on target... this time he brings a save out of Green with a crisp strike from 25 yards!
    • 24' Huddlestone leathers a half volley goalwards! Well blocked by Collins!
    • 23' Cole is put through on goal by Spector... he looks offside but there's no flag... Cudicini hesitates slightly, but the England striker can't capitalise as he pokes tamely against the keeper's legs!
    • 22' Modric fires well over the bar from outside the box... very poor effort from the Croat.
    • 20' A few real 'derby' challenges are put in and the ref is forced to have a little word to calm things down! Great stuff!
    • 19' That's a poor challenge from Defoe on Spector... it's late from the former Hammer and he gets a talking to from the referee... amid howls of derision from the home crowd!
    • 18' West Ham break again... Tottenham can't seem to get it clear for a moment... it falls to Parker who unleashes a swerving effort from 30 yards out which Cudicini does well to deal with, low down to his left hand post!
    • 16' Cole latches onto a long punt downfield... he turns and lets fly with a speculative effort... over the bar this time, but perhaps the watching Fabio Capello will have been impressed by that intent.
    • 14' Jiminez is pullled up for jumping into Ledley King down by the Spurs goalline... and that'll be a free-kick for the visitors.
    • 13' Jiminez looks lively... he hares off after a Corluka head back towards Cudicini... the keeper claims this time, but he had to be on his toes.
    • 12' Collison looks for Stanislas, but the midfielder's pass forward is over hit and Cudicini is able to claim at the edge of his box.
    • 10' Ironic cheers go up from the crowd as Cole piles into Cudicini and manages to push the keeper - with ball in hand - over the line! One of the more obvious decisions the ref will have to make today!
    • 9' Spector tries to emulate his team-mate... but his cross is poor and Cudicini takes easily before bowling out and starting off another Spurs attack.
    • 8' That's a good delivery into the middle by Stanislas... headed clear by Bassong, but that's given the home crowd a lift.
    • 7' Palacios and Jiminez collide as the Hammers striker looks t turn his man... no action taken by the ref...
    • 6' Lennon turns Spector inside and then out on the Spurs right, but his cross hits the first man... disappointing ending to a promising move.
    • 5' Nothing comes of the corner, despite a hand ball shout... but Spurs get it back into the danger area before too long... Assou-Ekotto finds Modric who fires in a first-time cross... cleared again!
    • 4' Spurs win the first corner of the day as the ball takes a touch off Collins's head and behind!
    • 3' Down to the other end and Faubert gets down the Hammers' right wing... but his cross is straight down Cudicini's throat...
    • 2' Assou-Ekotto gets forward well... he's allowed to advance and get a shot off.. it's blocked this time though...
    • 2' Both teams are in their traditional colours, West Ham in claret and blue, Spurs in white shirts and blue shorts.
    • 1' Here we go then... underway at Upton Park!
    • - And West Ham are forced into making two changes with injuries ruling out Herita Ilunga and Kieron Dyer. Jonathan Spector and Junior Stanislas replace the crocked duo.
    • - So, Defoe and Keane start once again up front for Spurs, even though Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko are "chomping at the bit", according to Harry Redknapp. Just one change - Carlo Cudicini in for the injured Heurelho Gomes.
    • - Gianfranco Zola has spoken about Calum Davenport: "His condition is stable. Our thoughts are with him. The players are concerned. He's their team-mate and they feel sorry for the situation."
    • - And today's whistle-blower is Mark Clattenburg (Tyne & Wear).
    • - And Tottenham: Cudicini, Corluka, Bassong, King, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Huddlestone, Palacios, Modric, Keane, Defoe Subs: Button, Hutton, Bentley, Pavlyuchenko, Crouch, Naughton, O'Hara
    • - The teams are in... here's how West Ham line up today: West Ham: Green, Faubert, Collins, Upson, Spector, Noble, Parker, Collison, Jimenez, Cole, Stanislas Subs: Kurucz, Gabbidon, Kovac, Nouble, Tomkins, Payne, Hines
    • - Spurs are unbeaten in their last six Premier League games against West Ham, winning five and keeping a clean sheet in the last three. More stats and facts here!
    • - And with newspaper reports claiming Dean Ashton may have to hang up his boots or end up in a wheelchair, preparations for the visit of Tottenham have been far from ideal. Ashton in wheelchair threat
    • - Some terrible news has clouded the build-up to this game, with Calum Davenport having undergone emergency surgery on his legs after being stabbed, along with his mother, at his family home. Two arrested over stabbing
    • - But West Ham will be no pushovers, especially at home, having started their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Wolves. That said, West Ham have not started a new campaign with two wins for 12 years.
    • - Tottenham travel across London to Upton Park knowing just a point against West ham will be enough to depose arch rivals Arsenal from top spot in the Premier League - for a few hours at least.
  • Summary

    • 88' Collison! Oooh! So nearly a late bit of drama! But he can't quite get there and the chance goes begging!
