    • 11' Van Persie volleys goalwards! But it's well blocked by Upson! In fact, replays show the ball to have hit Hammers defender on the arm! No penalty though!

    • 3' Noble and Collison combine, it spins away from Gallas to COLE but his shot hits Song and bobbles to safety.
    • 2' Song dinks it into the Hammers box and it causes West Ham problems as Van Persie makes contact, it's going wide but he gets across and tries the backheel but blocked by Tomkins.
    • 1' Match underway at Upton Park! Sagna wins a throw after an surging run down the right.
    • - Nasri returns to the bench for Arsenal after recovering from his broken leg but no changes to the starting XI from the 1-1 draw at AZ midweek.
    • - So Diamanti on the bench for the Hammers with the more phsyical Guille Franco up front.
    • - Arsenal: Mannone, Sagna, Gallas, Vermaelen, Clichy, Eboue, Song Billong, Fabregas, Diaby, Arshavin, van Persie; Subs: Almunia, Nasri, Eduardo, Ramsey, Silvestre, Gibbs, Bendtner
    • - West Ham team: Green, Spector, Tomkins, Upson, Ilunga, Behrami, Parker, Noble, Collison, Cole, Franco; Subs: Kurucz, Kovac, Faubert, Da Costa, Diamanti, Hines, Stanislas
    • - More team news as and when we get it.
    • - Striker Eduardo should be fit to start for Arsenal, while Nicklas Bendtner is rated as 50-50 by Arsene Wenger. Theo Walcott (medial knee ligament), Denilson (back) and Johan Djourou (knee) remain long-term absentees. Lukasz Fabianski and Samir Nasri returned for the reserves in midweek but are unlikely to be rushed back but, like Tomas Rosicky, they all miss out on the trip to Upton Park.
    • - But the good news for Hammers fans is that they have no fresh injury concerns, and they welcome captain Scott Parker back from suspension.
    • - These two sides have met 104 times in the league. West Ham United have won 27, Arsenal 46 and there have been 31 draws.
    • - If the Hammers fail to win today it will be their longest run without a Premier League win under Zola and longest in three years since 11 matches without a victory from December 2006 to March 2007.
    • - Gianfranco Zola's side have not won in their last seven league, since their 1-0 win at Wolves on the opening day of the season - this is the longest current run of any top flight team without a win this season.
    • - West Ham, on the other hand, are second bottom and in desperate need of some points.
    • - Victory for the Gunners would see them leapfrog Tottenham into third place today.
    • - That is the most goals that have ever been scored at this stage of a Premier League season by a club, and most in the top flight in 46 years since Tottenham.
    • - Arsenal head into the game on good form, and Arsene Wenger's side have won six out their opening eight games, scoring 27 goals.
    • - Arsenal make the short trip across the capital for a London derby against West Ham at Upton Park.
  • Summary

    • 90' What a save by Green to deny Van Persie! The Hammers keeper gets down brilliantly to paw away the Arsenal striker's header!

  3. it had been so wonderful game to the side of Arsenal from the start. To my lack, and hopefully came the true result of my suspect to which Arsenal would loss the points and goal average they expected due to too much excitemment from most of the players, to meantion but a few since the world have seen and most people have commented about them. "They are welcome to the top position But no crossing the Red Devil Teritory".

  4. i can't freakin' believe it on how many stupid Arsenal fans start bashing their own team just because a couple draw ... these freakin idiots start to suggest how stupid Wenger is and thinking to sells Arshavin, RVP, Fab and the rest of the team ....... quite lucky Benitez didn't work for Arsenal .... for you idiot out there, (yeah you know who you are) ... stop over moaning it's becoming more sickening than the draw itself ....

  5. It's obvious that some players don't have enough quality for EPL and Arsenal. This group of players(Diaby, Bendtner, Song(brainless), Eboue) should be sold in January or summer 2010, buy a real good players and be ready for the next season. This is not the first time that somebody ruin the game and result because of there mistake! They had more then one chance to prove themselves, but they are still making th same kind of game!
With this group, we will not won anything!

  6. Poor performance arsenal will are disappointed on you, but i pray u can win against Spurs next week will need winning by fire by force mr Wenger pls let Nasry play and Eduardo start marcth. Ebue is not a skyful player, then Diaby is also poor, on January BUY a Good PLAYER ,Striker, Midfider, difender. thanks ,Akeem

  7. Diaby and Eboue are not good enough for AFC we had chance afteR chance but I said before these guys will cost us the PL AW is blind canT he see the statistics of the performance of these 2 guys? they should not be playing on the AFC first team full stop I am very dissapointed with result we were 2 nil up and we almost lost the game why does Arsene W said we are goner win the PL when we are still vulnerable and we can kill games off please dont play Diaby and Eboue! We are gonner win shitalll with performances like this one and two draws after leading at half time is not good enough I am really FCUKed with AW and AFc 4 real

  10. Difference between Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U is that Man U and Chelsea would have killed off the game with 2 or more goals in the second half. Arsenal didn't get out of first gear, lazy performance, no pressure in midfield, poor game by Arshavin, Fabregas and Diaby. Manone just not experienced enough yet, Almunia should be playing, he is world class.

Yes, it wasn't a free kick and if that's a penalty then there'll be half a dozen every premiership game, but still no 3rd or 4th goal against a very poor side.
This might come back and cost us dear. Wenger needs to lose his rag with the players, he continues to defend gutless and lazy play. I predict again another season without winning anything and if we play like that Spurs will win by a large margin.

From Matt, on Mon 26 Oct 10:49AM
  11. Ar least we're back in front of The Totts, which is where we belong. I still can't believe that we threw away a two goal lead!

  14. mr. wenger pls you are letting us down.. you can clearly see that the Russian boy was out of form for yesterday's game but you still leave him on the field of play. i konw he is good but when is not your day is not jus your day.. the other thing that i have observed Gallas is losing focus. may he pls stop throwing himself to the strikers without a target. he was out played by Charlton cole. hands up for Thomas V and the rest, lastly let me talk about the goal keeper and Diaby. the goal keeper is weak if he is young he needs to establish himself first and this incosistency of his is costing us the arsenal fans. Diaby u are good but you hold the ballfor quiting along time, you drible too much and give the ball at the wrong time. i hope someone out there wil buy my idea.

From talamoway, on Mon 26 Oct 9:34AM
  15. Aweful result for Arsenal, how on earth do we think that we could be title contenders with a poor performance like this?
Diaby and Eboue, rubbish, get them transfered!

  17. Its not often that I question Wenger's judgement coz I believe in terms of strategy, he's the best manager in the EPL if not all football leagues...BUT, bringing in Bendtner, a guy who's proving match after match that he's not performing, I didn't like that...bring in people who bring results...bring in Eduardo, Nasri..Bendtner has been a liability ever since he joined the club last season. When we needed him he didn't convert when Van persie and Adebayor were injured last season...and we had tonnes of draws with weak teams at the bottom..awesome crosses from Fabregas...he could do nothing! At first I thought it was an issue of settling into the Premier league then I noticed it was going on for far too long and until today, either he hasn't settled in or he just doesn't have it. People like Arshavin, Eduardo are worth the money put in and are adding value. Anyway, back to the match, the Westham goalie made an awesome save that probably might have given us the 3 points but as someone said earlier we still moved up to third place but would have been 1 point behind Man U, with a game in hand. Song needs some strong words for his excessive fouling and yesterday it cost us an extra 2 points.

  20. I'm delighted WH gained a point; Arsenal are by far one of the better sides in the Premier League. Not sure this is turning the corner just yet, but a point against such sides is more than acceptable. We do however need to assert some dominance over those sides that languish in the lower reaches of the division. If not, it will be a long old season again!
