    • 90'+4 There goes the final whistle! All over at the DW Stadium and 10-man City settle for a point!
    • 90' Four minutes of added time...
    • 88' Rodallega! Oooh! So close to a late winner! He rises to meet a cross with a header... it falls kindly for him to stab goalwards but Given is there to get just enough on it to divert the ball wide!
    • 86' Strong run from N'Zogbia on the Wigan right... but he's stopped in his tracks before too long and the move breaks down.
    • 84' GOMEZ! Saved by Given from close range!
    • 83' And Stephen Ireland comes on to replace SWP.
    • 82' Tevez is replaced by Santa Cruz now...
    • 80' SWP goes down under the challenge of Figueroa in the box... big penalty shout from the City end! But the ref waves play on!
    • 75' Rodallega cuts inside and lets fly! Given is there to make the save, and hang onto the ball with Scotland lurking with intent!
    • 73' N'Zogbia slips in a cute ball for Thomas, who finishes past Given! But the flag is, correctly, raised and it won't count!
    • 72' Jordi Gomez replaces Paul Scharner as Wigan boss Roberto Martinez switches things around.
    • 71' Tevez! That's not too far off! His long-range effort fizzes past the post!
    • 70' Adebayor departs and on comes Kompany in his place... he'll play in the middle at the back with Richards shifting across to right-back.
    • 68' Adebayor has indicated he's picked up a knock... City in dire straights at the moment!
    • 67' Diame! Oooh! What an effort! Inches over the bar!
    • 66' He's not happy about that one, given the softness of his first yellow card...
    • 65' Zabaleta is sent off! It's a second yellow for the Argentinian for a late trip on Scotland! City are down to 10 men!
    • 63' BARRY! Ooh! Kirkland comes to Wigan's rescue with a fine save to deny the City midfielder a header from a tight angle!
    • 61' Three fantastic challenges fly in from either side! De Jong, Bramble and Diame all bite in the tackle, with the latter pulled up for a foul, even though it appeared to be a clean challenge.
    • 58' The word on the touchline is that Kirkland may even have broken his finger...
    • 56' Kirkland has dislocated his finger... the Wigan trainer is on, trying to put it back in place... ouch! Mission completed though and he's able to carry on!
    • 55' Diame cuts back for Rodallega! But Scharner gets in his way and Given doesn't have to make a save!
    • 53' Real chance for Adebayor as he latches onto Tevez's super through pass! Great tackle from Bramble to deny the Togo striker! SWP fires the rebound goalwards! Kirkland saves!
    • 52' De Jong heads clear from the corner and City can break...
    • 51' Scotland hustles Lescott and the City defender is forced to concede a corner!
    • 48' Two goals in two minutes! Kind of....
    • 47' GOAL! CITY ARE BACK ON LEVEL TERMS! Tevez pulls a ball back across the edge of the penalty area... it comes to Petrov who picks his spot and fires a left-footer into the bottom corner! 1-1!
    • 46' Back underway at the DW Stadium! No changes to tell you about at the break.
    • 45'+2 What a time to score! The half-time whistle goes and Wigan take a 1-0 lead in with them at the break!
    • 45'+1 GOAL! THIS ONE WILL COUNT! It's N'Zogbia and Wigan lead! Scharner knocks forward for Scotland who prods to Rodallega... he shoots on target and Given can only parry into the path of the onrushing N'Zogbia who slides the ball home!
    • 45' GOAL! NO! N'Zogbia fires home but it won't count! The ref has seen an infringement on Barry after Scotland's strength fashioned the chance for the Frenchman!
    • 43' Petrov plays a short free-kick to Zabaleta who clips it into the box... intially it's headed clear only for Tevez to head back in! Kirkland is there to claim as Adebayor lurks behind him!
    • 40' Richards very nearly gets a touch on Petrov's ball into the danger area from the resulting free-kick!
    • 39' Figueroa slides in on SWP and Alan Wiley has no choice but to book the Honduran, given that he booked Zabaleta for a similar offence earlier.
    • 38' Rodallega! Ooh! His long-range effort that swerves in midair is beaten away by Given!
    • 37' Petrov's corner isn't a bad one... but there's no one there to get on the end of it...
    • 36' SWP is slightly more incisive... but Figueroa recovers well to put behind for a corner to City!
    • 35' This is a decent passing move by City now... but Bridge's overlapping run does not produce an end product and the move breaks down.
    • 32' Zabaleta gets booked for a challenge of sorts from behind on Figueroa... Mark Hughes isn't happy about that decision.
    • 30' Richards rises with Scharner and the City man comes out worse off having taken a blow to the mouth... but he's a big unit and he'll be fine to continue.
    • 29' Barry gets to the corner, but his header doesn't find another black shirt and Lescott eventually lets the ball slip past him and Wigan have a goal kick.
    • 28' Another SWP cross into the middle has to be dealt with by Melchiot... behind and City have another corner!
    • 27' Tenacious defending play from Zabaleta as he wins the ball off Scharner...
    • 26' Thomas becomes the first man to be booked today... he knows it's coming...
    • 26' Rodallega attempts a spectacular scissor kick but messes it up and the ball ends up coming off his shin!
    • 25' SWP delivers a great ball into the box... it's inches over Lescott and Melchiot does well to chest it out for another City corner!
    • 24' Corner now for City as Thomas heads a free-kick behind...
    • 23' Adebayor gets on the end of a cracking long crossfield ball from Tevez, but takes one touch too many Kirkland gets there to palm the ball away...
    • 22' Lovely ball through by Tevez for SWP! But the England winger, back on his preferred right hand side today, is caught just offside!
    • 21' The pair of them are at it once again as the second ball comes over... but there's no whistle this time and Adebayor hooks clear.
    • 20' Referee Wiley wants a word with Scharner and Lescott, who were tussling at the back stick as the ball came over... the corner will have to be taken again.
    • 19' Headed behind for a Wigan corner!
    • 18' Wigan break quickly now and De Jong upends Scharner... free-kick to the hosts, which Rodallega will deliver.
    • 16' No nonsense defending from Boyce on Adebayor on the near touchline... that's what the home fans like to see.
    • 14' Neat footwork from N'Zogbia wins him a yard of space to take another pop on goal! But it's way off target and the ball rolls tamely wide of Given's upright.
    • 12' Tevez does really well to find Petrov on the overlap... Bramble slides in and wins a goal kick!
    • 11' Petrov displays a nice touch to control the ball and set off on a run at Melchiot... nothing comes of it this time.
    • 10' N'Zogbia again comes back inside onto his left foot... and again he unleashes an effort on goal! Just wide of the target this time, but he's getting closer.
    • 9' It's far from a sell-out today... the home side lack the kind of support their opposition have...
    • 7' Scotland is invited to shoot... he declines, instead passing to Scharner who lets fly... but it's disappointing.
    • 6' Petrov whips in a cross... Adebayor can't make anything of it... and neither can SWP.
    • 5' That's a deliberate trip from Melchiot on Barry, with Petrov free in behind him on the City left... but the Wigan defender escapes a card.
    • 4' Scotland gets away from Richards now... he reaches the by-line before holding the ball up... but his eventual cross is blocked and the Wigan move breaks down.
    • 3' N'Zogbia now makes inroads from the right hand side... he lets fly with his left peg, but it's well over Given's bar!
    • 2' Rodellega cuts inside from the left wing, but Barry steps across to end his run.
    • 1' Here we go! Underway at the DW Stadium!
    • - Wigan boss Roberto Martinez names an unchanged side, despite the disappointment of Hull last time out.
    • - So, Kolo Toure and Craig Bellamy are both missing for City. Micah Richards and Martin Petrov come into the starting XI in their place with Shay Given taking the skipper's armband.

    • - The two sides have met 10 times in the league before. Wigan have won five, City three and there have been two draws.

  1. a point away to wigan after a point a way to villa, these are great results for city and usually would not have gained any points in the past from these fixtures

    From bryanshaw68, on Sun 25 Oct 10:56AM
  2. Tevez I would like to see you to do the best. Why you doesn't want to run along with the ball like Bellamy. In the next match you must do straight away to the goal. Do not play around so much at the field nothing to get the 3 point. Remember please..... I love you so much.

  3. Not worried to MC draws 1-1 vs Wigan, I still have an confidence to MC. Even though Tevez is not scored at the time but He hepled a lot passed over the ball to his Team Mates. Next match I would like to see Tevez to score. If He is fail to do I'm really disappointed. Tevez your Fans is waiting for you to do the best please.....

  5. SWP is rubbish. he is. he's now in the same quality side as he was when at chelsea, and he shouldn't be allowed into this one either. loses the ball all the time. stevie ireland has to be in the team. he creates, he's cool on the ball and he scores my sweet darling.

  7. As a CITY fan I was disappointed. I was hoping us to going to 3rd in the table not 5th. However, I can still see the quality and coming back from behind was very impressive and shows we have got the quality. We are just very unlucky not to have all of our players on the pitch. Imagine how exciting it will be to watch all th big guns in action.

    CITY FOR EVER.

  15. Im a man city fan, and as one please stop playing zabaleta, i warned earlier that zabaleta is the kind of player that can ruin a defense after he got a yellow card while only playing 40 min, he is not what man city needs, and is counter productive. A defender myself i have seen this type of player over and over and he does not belong on a team with the quality of man city, he does not belong in the premier league

    From wanderers1000, on Mon 19 Oct 4:48AM
  16. As i had said a few days ago let us see this week match and let it do the talking how the game play.....so so far?

From ManatSt, on Mon 19 Oct 1:27AM
  18. they should have taken three points and not be satisfied with the one. i dont think man utd or their fans would be pleased with a result like this, even if it was in wigan with ten men, so how can us city fans be satisfied with this. it could have been worse but if they played better, especially through the dang mid field, then it could have been much better..

From anthony, on Mon 19 Oct 12:28AM
  19. Good point for City today, remember they have a home game in hand as well
