A second-half goal blitz saw Manchester United put their Premier League campaign back on track with a 5-0 win at Wigan Athletic. More
90+3' That's full time, and Manchester United have romped to victory at Wigan.
90+2' GOAL!! NANI!!!! He finds the back of the net, curling a relatively weak effort past the statuesque Kirkland!
90+1' Yellow card Paul Scharner for an argicultural tackle from behind on Berbatov.
87' Sinclair again!! He has looked lively since coming on, and brings another good save from Foster from a tight angle on the right.
85' GOAL!! Michael Owen!! Runs onto a cute through ball from Nani and clips a deft left-foot shot in off the far post! His first goal for Manchester United!
79' There is an altercation there and referee Webb has to physically restrain Rodallega from attacking Vidic! Unbelievable!
76' Rodallega slides in late on Foster, who reacts angrily. Yellow card to the Colombian.
73' Wigan changes: Jason Scotland and James McCarthy for Charles N'Zogbia and Mohamed Diame.
72' Well, this is Owen's chance. He comes on for Rooney, while Darron Gibson replaces Paul Scholes. AND John O'Shea comes on for Jonny Evans. A triple substitution.
65' GOAL!!! Three for United, and it's Wayne Rooney again!! Antonio Valencia and Dimitar Berbatov combine to find Rooney on the left, and his shot goes in at the near post via a generous deflection from Mario Melchiot.
62' Wigan substitution: Scott Sinclair replaces Jason Koumas.
58' GOAL!!! DIMITAR BERBATOV!! It's two for United and it's a brilliant goal!! Rooney plays a one-touch pass for Scholes, who lofts the ball over the top, Berbatov lifts it over Kirkland, collects his own lob and finishes from six yards!
58' RODALLEGA SO CLOSE TO THE EQUALISER!!! Koumas drives a diagonal cross and the Colombian hits a looping header that Foster just keeps out!
56' GOAL!!!! WAYNE ROONEY BREAKS THE DEADLOCK FOR MANCHESTER UNITED!! He heads in a Valencia cross from the right and the goal drought is over!
51' United want a penalty after Rooney goes down under Scharner's challenge... nothing doing, says Howard Webb!

49' Yellow card Evra for a crude trip on N'Zogbia.
47' Valencia heads down a cross from the left for ROONEY!! Miscues his volley and Berbatov's follow-up is blocked!
46' United kick the second half off and immediately get forward, with the cap-wearing Kirkland punching away a cross from the left.
45' Goalless at the end of an entertaining first half... but United's drought in front of goal continues.
39' Another offside flag up against Wayne Rooney, who strays just beyong the last man as Fletcher plays it through.
32' Long ball over the top for Rooney, who traps it brilliantly and SHOOTS LOW!! SAVED BY KIRKLAND!
26' KOUMAS!!! Cuts inside from the left, burns past Vidic and fires a curling shot that Foster does well to tip behind for a corner!
23' Berbatov!! Gets his head on a left-sided cross, but directs it straight at Kirkland.
19' Yellow card Scholes for sliding through Jordi Gomez... at his age, it's probably fair to say he'll never learn.
17' ROONEY!! He turns Bramble and fires a low right-footed shot straight at Kirkland.
7' SCHOLES!!! Berbatov backheels into the path of the onrushing Scholes, who has a free hit from the edge of the box but blazes it over!! Bad miss for a player of his quality.
4' Rooney finds Berbatov who plays it to the overlapping Nani, then crossed to Fletcher whose GOALBOUND EFFORT IS BLOCKED BY BRAMBLE!! Great move, great save by Titus Bramble!
1' Game on at the DW Stadium! Michael Owen returns to the bench for the visitors, whoare still smarting after their defeat at Burnley on Wednesday.

To all Wigan fans, don't let yourself or your team down. Wigan played better in the first half. There're more matches to come....against the pretenders Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.....you could do better! Today. you lose to a better team, a champion - Manchester United!!! .....from ManU fan.

423 and 435,
At least there's a couple of people on this board congratulating us on a well deserved victory instead of denying that we're still a good team without Ronaldo and being haters. Thanks both of you.
FROM A MAN U FAN

Poor Roberto and poor Wigan. Your team was devastated to ashes by a feeble United.
Now I do recommend Bob to turn to Spain for reinforcements:
Arzu (midfielder) from Real Betis.
Alejandro Alfaro (right winger) and Lolo (midfielder) from Sevilla F.C.
Albert Crusat (left winger) from U.D. Almeria.
Iñaki Bea (central defender) from Real Valladolid.
Javier Portillo (striker) from Atletico Osasuna.
With these signings, Wigan would have no problems to stay at the Premiership.

it is a chance for man utd this match other wise the team would lose

HAHAH YEAH agreed, so funny, man utd won, and all the haters have suddenly disappeared. PFFF
GLORY GLORY

hey ( heatherkean) i think ur really stupid moneycity owner is Sheikh from abu dabi not dubai , so zip ur mouth monkey boy

Lampard should think again what he says yesterday about united he says that " Manutd are missing Ronaldo and they will take 2 aur 3 years to recover " well Mr. Lampard Rethink it now, will u still b on ur statement .No u should take or statement back... Common Man United.... We have Shuts up every one who were saying that ronaldo is every thing .... no v still have great player so go on Manutd.

My name is Nnamuru chisom othniel. Like i said earlier before this event, we can bit the teams with or without ronaldo.Because i lean on the team, not on one man's ability. Thanks to sir alex and juel.

nice job manchester united with the 5-0 victory from a chelsea fan

Now, now 425 - you shouldn't be so nasty, you certainly can vent your feelings without being so horrible - don't forget the RED DEVILS will cap the lot of them - we're back after two blips - yes, only two - and we mean business, this is where the buck stops - ONLY TWO BLIPS - that's all Sir Alex will allow his players, so don't feel down-hearted - I surely am not.

Too many fake, glory hunting whopper's on here! Can't even spell and talk as if they are massive supporters of the horrible Mancs. Go the game every now and again, or support your local team, you tossers!!

i totally agree with you on the gerrard thing
i bet the judge was a liverpool fan!

great to see the lads back on form, and nice to see Owen and Nani getting a look in on the score sheet aswell, proof that Ronaldo wasnt the only thing to keep United going!! May the rest of the premiership be silenced cos United are back on form!!
and post 349 from BabyK, as of today i believe that United have played 3 and lost 1 if you knew your match fixtures?? it was Birmingham 1-0 to United, Burnley 1-0 defeat for United, and 5-0 today victory against Wigan...they hada few shock defeats last season but they still went on to win the Premiership if i recall correctly....

Where are the ManU haters gone???

Come on MAN CITY is that all you can produce today - ONE goal?????? What a waste of all the spending by the Sheikh of Dubai - now, now, you must do better to beat MANU!!!!

So where are United's critics?
Any sad scousers spying on this page as usual? ;)

someone was going to pay...well sadly for wigan.

Season start's today-bet the stupid scouser's are already worried that we can live without Ronaldo, but those filthy pig's cannot do anything without lady Torres and the thug Gerrard, should have went to prison

THANKS RED DEVILS FOR A WONDERFUL GAME TODAY - I'LL BE WATCHING THE HIGHLIGHTS TONIGHT AND WILL SURELY CHEER YOU ON FROM MY ARMCHAIR - GOOD LUCK FOR THE SEASON - YOUR FANS WILL BE ROUTING FOR YOU AS WE DID IN THE LAST AND PREVIOUS SEASONS. WELL DONE SIR ALEX YOU CERTAINLY KNOW YOUR STUFF - YOU HAVE A CLASS TEAM OF PLAYERS AND WE HAVE FAITH IN YOU TO SEE MANU THROUGH TO GLORY THIS SEASON - GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
