    • 94' That indeed is game over and it's finished 1-0 to the visitors. Wolves claim victory for the first time since promotion to The Premier League. Roberto Martinez tastes defeat for the first time as Latics boss.
    • 92' A long ball forward catches the Wolves defence hopelessly square, but Scharner's composure deserts him at the key moment and the chance is lost. It looks like it's going to be Wolves' night.
    • 89' There'll be four minutes of additional time to be played...
    • 88' Scott Sinclair heads agonisingly wide of the far post. That looked in all the way.
    • 84' Wolves have got approximately six minutes plus injury time to hold out. The large visiting contingent who have made the trip north can taste what would be a very satisfying win.
    • 78' Stephen Ward is left writhing on the ground after a forceful challenge from Melchiot. He limps to the side but looks like he'll be okay to continue.

    • 58' Controversy! Keogh goes down in a heap under a challenge from Bramble. The visitors scream penalty, Bramble protests his innocence. Referee Jones keeps his hands down by his side. It looked more a penalty than not, I have to say.
    • 55' It's the first change of the game. Milijas is withdrawn and David Jones is on in his place.
    • 50' Hendry Thomas trundles forward but hits an ultra-ambitious shot well over the bar. Apart from when he was faced with N'Zogbia one-on-one, Hennessey hasn't had too much to trouble him.
    • 47' Wigan are at least on the front foot at the start of the second half. Koumas drifts a cross in from the left which eludes everyone at the far post.
    • 45 Wolves get the second half underway, as Roberto Martinez resumes his stance on the touchline expecting a lot more from his new team.
    • - The teams are back out for the start of the second half and as far as I can see there are no changes in personnel.
    • 48' Referee Mike Jones gives a sustained blow on his whistle to signal half-time. Wolves lead 1-0 and are halfway to registering their first win back in the big time.
    • 45' Karl Henry wins the award for worst shot of the day. It was touch and go whether it'd end up a goal kick or a throw in. As the ball trickled towards the corner, it was agonising. I'm happy to report that Henry's blushes were spared - it was only a goal kick.
    • 40' Ouch! Chris Kirkland collides with the post after collecting a looping header from Keogh. Normally that would result in a lengthy lay-off for the injury-prone keeper but happily he shrugs off the collision.
    • 38' Until now that is! N'Zogbia finds himself one-on-one with Hennessey but he shoots straight at the keeper. Credit is due the Welshman, though, as he stood up well.
    • 36' Rodallega's shot deflects narrowly over the bar. It's the closest the home side have come to getting a goal.
    • 33' Greg Halford has a shot from distance well over. Halford must have an excellent agent or else he's good mates with Mick McCarthy.
    • 31' In most cases I wouldn't have deemed Hendry Thomas's tame free-kick straight at Wayne Hennessey worthy of comment, but, hey, it's got to offer some encouragement at least to the lacklustre home side.
    • 28' Precious little to report as we near the half hour mark. Wolves have certainly had the better of the first half, with the visitors' surprisingly solid defence so far thwarting the hosts' rather insipid attack.
    • 23' The next chant isn't quite so polite so we'll leave that to the readers' imagination. There's been a bit of a lull in on-field proceedings, with neither side creating much in the way of chances.
    • 21' "Shall we sing a song for you?!" crow the Wolves support amassed behind the goal. That's probably not the first time that question's been asked of some the league's, how shall we say, less vociferous home supporters.
    • 20' I have to admit that I thought Craddock's days of Premier League football were behind him and so might a few of the visiting support, but Mick McCarthy has stuck with the old stager.
    • 18' Jody Craddock's predatory instinct lets him down when Wigan fail to clear a corner. Instead of composing himself and slotting past Kirkland, the defender slipped and stumbled, allowing Wigan's keeper to gather.
    • 15' What a miss! From the resultant corner swung in by Milijas, Halford wastes a glorious opportunity to double Wolves' lead. All alone in the six-yard box, he blazed over.
    • 13' The visitors threaten to break away again but a well-timed challenge from Mario Melchiot thwarts Ryan Jarvis.
    • 10' Milijas is already looking the business for Wolves. He's at the heart of all the visitors' best stuff. Wigan remain off target as Koumas fires well wide.
    • 6' 1-0 Wolves! Keogh came close a moment ago and now he's given the visitors the lead. A well-directed header from six yards found the inside of the post en route to the bottom corner of Kirkland's goal.
    • 4' Wolves hit the woodwork! Andy Keogh turned inside before striking a shot which bounced down off the underside of Kirkland's bar.
    • 3' Jordi Gomez has the first shot of the match but it's well over the bar.
    • 1' Wigan get the game underway. For those who like a bit of colour with their commentary, the home side are in their traditional blue and white stripes, while the visitors are wearing what the stalwarts would call old gold.
    • - Hugo Rodallega's the man to look out for tonight. He showed in patches last season what he's capable of and, after a belter of a goal at Aston Villa on the opening day, don't be surprised to see him on the scoresheet again tonight.
    • - Anticipation is building at the newly-christened DW Stadium, even if the locals at Wigan are slow to take their seats.
    • - Match stats: Hugo Rodallega has scored four goals in his last five Premier League games. Wolves did not manage a single away win in their last top-flight campaign in 2003-04. The Latics have failed to score more than once in all of their home league matches in 2009.
    • - Match stats: The six league games between these sides have averaged an entertaining 4.1 goals per game. There has never been an away win in any of these league encounters.
    • - WOLVES TEAM NEWS: Striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is sidelined for a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury picked up at the weekend while right-back Kevin Foley is also ruled out for a similar spell with a medial ligament problem. Kevin Doyle (groin) and centre-back Christophe Berra (hamstring) are still not 100 per cent and will also miss out but are expected to be okay for Saturday's game at Manchester City. Full-back Stephen Ward and midfielders Greg Halford and Matt Jarvis also picked up knocks at the weekend but are expected to feature, while striker Chris Iwelumo (foot) and winger Michael Kightly (hip and foot) remain out.
