    Chelsea continued their resurgence with a 3-1 win at Blackpool, edging the Blues towards Premier League leaders Manchester United. More

    • 90+3 Kalou blasts one over and the chants of eeyore start again, the whistle goes and it's a win for Chelsea but Blackpool can take heart in defeat.
    • 90+2 Almost a howler from Terry as he leaves Vaughan's ball inside despite Beattie lurking behind him but Beatts is a touch too slow to make contact and it spins wide of the goal with Cech stranded!
    • 90+2 Tricky from Malouda, twisting and turning as Blackpool are loathe to make a tackle, but Halstead claims at his feet.
    • 90+1 Three minutes added time being played. Blackpool will lose this but my have they made a fist of it. Stay up, please!
    • 90' JUST WIDE FROM EVATT! Crumbs. Great cross by Phillips again and Luiz can only divert it into Evatt's path but his curler flies inches wide!

    • 86' GOAL BLACKPOOL! And it's Puncheon to delight the home fans - and he has deserved it, their best player. Lovely football actually, the best goal of the game as Beattie and Ormerod combine to play him in, sweet finish too, low across Cech into the bottom right.

    • 44' Drogba gives it away and Eardley bombs forward but, like a child at Hamleys, he gets a bit over-excited and spoons an aimless cross, shot or something into the arms of Cech.
    • 43' Great play by Reid and Puncheon, now Eardley and Reid wraps his boot around it but he curls it well wide. Good football from the hosts.

    • 35' Puncheon again races forward, getting past Luiz but stumbling. The cross eventually comes in but Terry clears. Good stuff from the hosts and the former non-league winger Puncheon is looking every bit the Premier player.
    • 34' PUNCHEON HITS THE POST! He raced away from halfway, bustled past Luiz and drilled in a low shot that swerved late on, seeming to beat Cech but the keeper got a hand on it at the last to turn it on to the woodwork!

    • 32' Eardley with a good cross but Terry heads clear. The break is on but Zhirkov is a touch sluggish getting on to a Drogba ball that played him in.

    • 23' Drogba with a super backheel to play Zhirkov in but Evatt makes a good tackle. Now Bosingwa on the right finds Torres but his shot is blocked. Bosingwa has it back on the right and, cutting inside, unleashes a surprise angled shot that Kingson does really well to tip over!
    • 22' Poor from Torres. A really nice pass from Drogba released him on the left side of the area but he pulled wide instead of cutting inside and played an aimless cross into no-man's land when the onus was on him to run it.
    • 22' Le Drog, a beast of a man, takes a high ball on the chest and bundles two defenders away but his touch is a bit heavy and Blackpool clear.
    • 21' FACT: That is Terry's fourth goal of the season.
    • 20' GOAL CHELSEA! Terry, header, trademark. Good run to lose the marking, from six yards in the end, low and past Kingson.
    • 19' A skewed clearance by Evatt gives Chelsea a corner which Lampard will take.
    • 18' Essien lives, although with a shuffling gait for the time being. Crainey spins a nice ball down the left but Carney mis-hits the cross to touch.
    • 18' It was a good tackle by Vaughan but Essien rolled his ankle in the collision. A touch unfair from the home fans, accusing Essien of cheating. Sometimes people get hurt, chaps.
    • 17' Essien is rolling about in a heap after what the referee deemed a fair tackle from Vaughan.
    • 16' A low ball from Puncheon is met with a stepover from Beattie - very cute - and Reid can work a cross from the right but, disappointingly, sends it straight at Cech.
    • 15' A great driving run from Le Drog down le left but his quite tempting cut-back is not met by a blue shirt - that was begging for someone to take a risk between the centre-halves.
    • 14' Blackpool try to pass their way forward but, without Adam, the final ball seems to be long today. They are given a chance to keep the ball though after a poor clearance from Bosingwa.
    • 13' A lull in play but Chelsea haven't given possession up...
    • 12' The loose ball drops to Luiz following that corner but he spanks a wayward shot well wide.
    • 11' Chelsea have a corner, won by Torres on the left. Lampard puls it to the edge of the box but Zhirkov's weak shot is blocked.
    • 10' Goal kick to Chelsea. The Blues, oddly, have the best defensive record in the Prem, despite conceding 23 in 27, which is poor by their usual standards. Just goes to show how open matches are these days.
    • 9' Kingson lives and play resumes. Luiz hacks one clear under pressure but Blackpool get it back.
    • 8' Concern from Drogba as his African mate Kingson seems to have hurt himself. That's a real worry as Blackpool are short on keepers at the moment - Halstead, a youngster, is on the bench.
    • 7' Risky but effective keeping from Kingson as Drogba raced on to a Torres flick, the Ghanaian finging himself at the Ivorian's feet but somehow coming away with the ball.
    • 6' Great run by Beattie but he fails to find Puncheon as he hits the deck. Chelsea clear.
    • 5' Lampard and Drogba combine to put Torres through but he is half a yard offside. Down the other end crosses from Carney and Puncheon rain in on the Chelsea box but the first one is too high for Beatts and good defending by Terry to head clear on the second.
    • 4' Carney has a pop from the left but straight at Cech. Blackpool reminding Chelsea that they too score goals.
    • 3' Lampard sends in a super, flat delivery that Essien meets but the flicked header flies beyond the far post and the lunge of Torres!
