Dimitar Berbatov got 10-man Manchester United out of jail as his 88th minute goal was enough to down Bolton Wanderers 1-0 at Old Trafford. More
FT AND THERE IS THE FULL-TIME WHISTLE!!! United have the victory…how do they keep doing this?
90' Klasnic on for Muamba...
88' UNITED HAVE SCORED!!!! Berbatov has got United out of jail but it is a horrible mistake from Jaaskelainen…he spills a straightforward shot from Nani and Berbatov is there to bundle the ball home. Bolton look for offside but he was clearly on!
87' Jaaskelainen bats away a drive from Nani...decent hit but too straight...
85' GREAT CHANCE FOR BOLTON!!! Matt Taylor is completely free in the box…Steinsson finds him with a perfect cross but he puts his header straight at van der Sar.
84' Rooney cuts in from the left and drills a low shot on target…. Jaaskelainen makes a smart save though.
79' Matt Taylor on for Holden.
78' It is one of those tackles that looks worse the more you see it…Holden is off on a stretcher…his afternoon is done.
76' JONNY EVANS SENT-OFF!!!! A straight red card for going in with the studs on Stuart Holden who is still down. Shocking tackle he can have little complaint but the last thing United need is a suspension to a centre-half.
73' Berbatov curls an effort just wide of the post on the edge of the box after being fed by Rooney.
64' And for a moment it looked as if Bolton were going to score as awful defending saw Davies clear to shoot for a moment but a United body slid in to clear…(didn't see who it was).
60' Chung-Yong Lee on for Sturridge
46' Well Sir Alex clearly not happy with that first half performance. Fabio and Berbatov are both coming on at the break…waiting to see who has gone off.
HT And there is the half-time whistle….Bolton on level terms and full value for the 0-0 so far too.
32' GREAT CHANCE UNITED…..lovely work from Valencia and Rooney down the right…the ball is checked back for Hernandez but he flashes it wide. On replay, the angle was tough, but a chance nonetheless.
30' Elmander has a shot now blocked by Evra as Bolton enjoy a great spell....it all came from a bit of a van der Sar flap off a cross.
25' Thought for a moment we were going to get another Rooney classic….great work from Valencia down the right…he chipped the ball to the edge of the area and from a standing position Rooney got a volley on target but it just lacked power and was straight at Jaaskelainen.
10' United appeal for a penalty….Brown at the back post manages to head back Nani's cross into the patch of Hernandez….the Mexican fires on goal from six yards out and it hits the hand of the diving Cahill. It certainly hit Cahill's arm but was there anything he could do about it?
5' Rooney controls the ball 30 yards out and tries a fizzing shot that goes just wide. The shot of a confident man though.
14:45 United defender Rio Ferdinand is still out injured, as are a host of United players, but he's keeping his fans updated on Twitter: "En route to Old Trafford for the game....will send some pics from the stadium soon...let's av iiiiiiit!"
14:40 Today's referee at Old Trafford is Andre Marriner. The Birmingham official sent off Aleksandar Kolarov in Bolton's visit to Man City back in December, although it couldn't stop the Trotters falling to a 1-0 defeat.
