    • 26' Coloccini meets El-Mohammady's cross with a powerful header. Sunderland have it back though as El-Mohammady tries a low cross but underhits it. Nolan gives it away, Bent goes wide, now El-Mohammady and an excellent outswinging cross but no-one takes a punt to reach it and the ball drifts away!
    • 25' Barton releases Jonas with a super ball but his cross is weak. Henderson comes forward but Jonas is back defending. Coloccini gives it away, dragged out wide, but El-Mohammady fails to find Gyan. The Egyptian makes up for it though by tackling Jonas and bringing it forward for Bent. Phew.
    • 24' Bramble with a high ball in for Gyan but Williamson forces him wide. Malbranque into Bent but again Coloccini robs him and clears. Poor touch from Bent, again.
