West Bromwich Albion survived an own-goal and the loss of Paul Scharner to beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the Premier League at the Hawthorns. More
90+7 Finally, referee Phil Dowd blows the whistle for full time and West Brom, despite all the odds take the bragging rights away from this West Midlands derby
84' GOAL! Mulumbu, just after being booked, picks up the ball just inside the area turns and dinks it round Friedel to hand 10-man West Brom the lead. MULUMBU SHOULD HAVE JUST WON THIS MATCH FOR THE HOSTS
82' Another scintilating save from Carson as he turns a low ball around his left post, diving down to it after a shot from Downing on the edge of the area.
73' Agbonlahor is the latest player to find his name entered into the referee's book as he brings down Mulumbu
62' WEST BROM ARE DOWN TO 10-MEN as Paul Scharner is sent off for a second yellow. The Beggies midfielder has been threatening to get himself sent off for some time as he physical challenges continued despite the first yellow. This time he wrestled Petrov to the ground and he is rightly given his marching orders
60' A huge scrappy goal as first Paul Scharner and then Simon Cox have a shot blocked before the ball falls for Odemwingie at the far post at the Nigerian toes the ball into the top of the net
60' GOAL! Odemwingie levels things up for West Brom!
51' Richard Dunne and Gonzalo Jara go off for Villa and West Brom repsectively, both having picked up knocks, albeit in separate incidents. They are replaced by Ciaran Clark and Gabriel Thomas
46' West Brom get things back underway for the second half ...
HT That's the end of the half and it could honestly go either way in the second. Both side's have had their threatening periods and but for a moment of abberation from Meite, things would probably still be all square.
19' Ooooo! Mulumbu is given acres of space about 30 yards out. His first touch is actually quite heavily and the ball runs a metre or so away from him. But no Villa man picks it up and in one stride Mulumbu has covered the distance and belted the ball goalwards. It's a curling effort and Friedel does very well to palm it away for a corner. That was heading into the top corner
4' GOAL! It's a horror show from Abdoulaye Meite as, with no pressure on him whatsoever, he turns Stewart Downing's cross into the back of the net. It was a decent, if somewhat awkward volley from the Baggies man actually, just a shame it was into his own net!
