    • 90' Torres clips the ball to the far post, but Mikel heads over the bar.
    • 88' Chelsea sub: Mikel on, Ramires off.
    • 86' Just when you think Torres has a sight of goal, he squanders it. This time he cuts onto his left foot - but sends a tame effort over the bar with his left foot. No conviction.
    • 84' Bolton still trying to get a goal, but their final ball has not been good enough to trouble Chelsea.
    • 82' Chelsea sub: Kalou on, Sturridge off.
    • 80' Sordell has been caught by Lampard's elbow and needs the magic sponge. What Bolton need is a miracle, because they have been very poor again today.

    • 69' Miyaichi lays the ball to Ricketts, who sees glory - but his effort from the edge of the box is well wide.
    • 68' Bolton sub: Sordell on, Ngog off.
    • 67' Miyaichi gets the better of Cahill (again) and delivers a dangerous cut-back from the left, but Chelsea scramble it clear. That's not the first time Cahill has been exposed by the Japanese youngster, on loan from Arsenal.
    • 66' Mata goes for goal with a cheeky chip from 25 yards, but Bogdan plucks it from the sky.
    • 64' Chelsea come close again as Bogdan spills Essien's thunderous drive, but Drogba, Lampard and Luiz can't get a shot away and Bolton escape.
    • 62' GOAL! Drogba makes it 2-0 to Chelsea! Lampard whips in an inswinging corner from the left and Drogba rises higher than Wheater to glance the ball into the net.
    • 61' Lampard tries to thread the ball through to Drogba - on the overlap to his left - but the ball is just behind Drogba.
    • 59' Mata has been caught by Muamba - and he's struggling.
    • 58' Patient build-up by Bolton as Tuncay goes for goal from all of 25 yards, but his rising shot goes inches over the bar. Good effort by the former Turkey international.
    • 56' Drogba hits the bar! Mata drives forward into lots of space and feeds Drogba, who coaxes the ball onto the top of the bar.
    • 54' Cleared off the line! David Luiz rises high to head the ball towards goal, but Miyaichi is on hand to flick the ball onto the post and away. A lucky escape for Bolton.
    • 52' Miyaichi has been very bright for Bolton and he does well to find Ngog on the edge of the box, but he cannot control it and Chelsea clear.
    • 50' Lampard sees a trademark effort from 25 yards saved.
    • 49' @Wadiaskov on Twitter: That moment between Ivanovic and Drogba summed up everything for me
    • 48' It's a goal of the highest quality by the Brazilian, and gives Chelsea to perfect platform to build on this.
    • 47' GOAL! David Luiz scores for Chelsea! Great start to the half for the home side as Luiz seizes on a half-clearance, shifts the ball onto his right foot and sends a very tidy finish into the bottom corner.
    • 46' SECOND HALF. Chelsea get us underway.
    • 45' @ATJaved on Twitter: Bring on Torres!
    • 45' Will Chelsea make a breakthrough in the second half? Will it be the end of Villas-Boas if they don't? Make sure you Tweet me your thoughts on the game throughout the second half.
    • 45' HALF TIME. That's the final action of the half, and it's Chelsea 0-0 Bolton at the break.
    • 44' Miyaichi makes an excellent run forward before finding Tuncay. The Turk finds the Japanese forward again with a pull-back and Miyaichi shoots first time - just over the bar. Nice move, and the closest either side have come so far.
    • 43' Lampard looks for Drogba with a pass-around-the-corner but Ream, who has had a solid first half, is in the way.
    • 41' Pratley appears to be fouled by Essien on the edge of the box, but nothing is given and Pratley is booked for his protests.
    • 40' Lampard threads a pass through to Drogba, but Ivanovic thought the pass was for him and the pair get in each other's way, with Ivanovic blocking Drogba's shot.
    • 38' Pratley makes a run into the box, but Cahill is on hand to snuff out the chance with a good challenge.
    • 36' Chelsea counter-attack and Ashley Cole receives the ball 20 yards from goal, but slices his shot a couple of metres wide. The England left-back had to take that first-time.
    • 34' Bolton win another corner, but yet again the delivery is woeful by Tuncay and Chelsea clear their lines.
    • 33' One of the reasons Mata has been quiet, incidentally, is because Muamba has been staying very tight on the Spaniard. But, not for the first time, Muamaba clatters him and Chelsea have a free-kick.
    • 31' David Luiz plays a fantastic throughball to Sturridge, who shoots early and forces Bogdan to palm away for yet another corner.
    • 29' Mata has been quiet for Chelsea so far, but his teasing cross from the left causes indecision at the back for Bolton - and Ream elects to turn out for a corner.
    • 28' Great chance for Sturridge! Cutting in from the right, the striker looks for the far bottom corner with his trusty left foot, but Bodgan makes a diving save to his right! Best chance of the game.
    • 27' Lampard whips in a lovely cross from the right to find Ivanovic, but the Serbian heads wide.
    • 26' Mata finds Drogba, who clips the ball over Ricketts towards Sturridge, but the pass is too strong and it goes out for a goal kick.
    • 24' Bolton growing in the contest as Tuncay comes deep before releasing Ngog again. But Reo-Coker is penalised for blocking Luiz's run to cover the pass.
    • 23' Wheater heads just over, but the whistle goes for a push on Drogba.
    • 22' Bolton continue to push though, as Sturridge concedes a corner.
    • 20' The corner is cleared and Bolton launch an attack, with Ngog and Tuncay combining. But Luiz is on hand to intercept and clear.
    • 19' Bolton defending deep, and it's working so far. But they concede another corner after another storming run byDrogba down the left wing.
    • 18' Drogba in the thick of it again. This time firing a low effort inside the near post. But again, Bogdan has no problems.
    • 17' Drogba, with his back to goal, back-heels the ball past Wheater but is then adjudged to have fouled the Bolton defender in the box and, despite Drogba's protests, Bolton have the free-kick.
    • 15' Bolton win a corner, but Tuncay fails to clear the first man. They win a throw moments later by the corner flag, but Essien heads clear. Bolton must work on their delivery if theyare to trouble Chelsea.
    • 13' Bolton clear the corner as far as Ivanovic, who drives his shot towards goal. It's a solid shot, but straight at Bogdan, who has no problems gathering.
    • 12' Ricketts pokes the ball off the toes of Drogba as the Ivorian shapes to crossfrom the right, but at the expense of a corner...
    • 11' Miyaichi dances into space on the edge of the box but slices his shot out for a throw. Quite possibly the worst shot by anyone this season.
    • 10' Bolton clear the corner but it's Chelsea making all the running in the early stages here.
    • 9' Drogba gets a sight of goal, but is unable to turn inside Wheater. But Drogba wins another corner for Chelsea.
    • 7' Great chance for Lampard! The midfielder latches onto Sturridge's perfect throughball but the ball runs away from him and Bogdan is able to stand tall and smother Lampard's shot from a tight angle.
    • 6' Essien tries his luck with an ambitious effort from 25 yards, but it flies over the bar.
    • 5' Sturridge drives forward down the left and uses Drogba's run as a decoy to burst into space on the edge of the box before firing a decent effort straight at Bogdan, who gathers.
    • 4' Miyaichi breaks down the ledt wing for Bolton, but his cross is poor and Chelsea clear easily.
    • 3' Lampard puts Luiz in trouble with an awkward header back, but Ngog needlessly shoves Luiz in the back and Chelsea have the free-kick that Cech will take.
    • 2' Sturridge looks for Ramires with a chipped ball over the Bolton defence, but the flag is up as Ramires applauds the idea by Sturridge.
    • 1' KICK OFF! Bolton get us underway at a sun-drenched Stamford Bridge.
    • 14.55 Life has not been easy for Bolton, either. They are seeking their first win in the Premier League since the 3-1 win over Liverpool last month. An intriguing one awaits. For Villas-Boas, it's a must-win...
    • 14.50 Curiously, it's over two months since they won a Premier League match without a goal from today's captain Frank Lampard – 3-0 at Newcastle on December 3.
    • 14.45 But let's not forget that Chelsea have failed to keep a clean sheet since John Terry's last appearance, against Queens Park Rangers on January 28. That is five matches.
    • 14.40 The stats certainly point towards a good day for CHelsea. Bolton have failed to win in their last seven Premier League visits to Stamford Bridge, losing the last three, since the victory in December 2003.
    • 14:35 Referee: Michael Oliver (Northumberland)
    • 14:30 One thing is certain though - Fernando Torres is not starting. And why should he? Bolton old-boy Gary Cahill faces his former employers for the first time. Meanwhile, Bolton continue with Adam Bogdan in goal despite Jussi Jaaskelainen being fit enough for the bench again. The only change from the 2-0 win over Millwall in the FA Cup is the return of Darren Pratley for Mark Davies. Still no place in the XI for Chris Eagles or Ivan Klasnic.
    • 14:25 So, how about that then? Just days after his Chelsea career was 'over', Frank Lampard is back as captain. Who knows what goes on inside the mind of Andre Villas-Boas, but one thing is clear - the Portuguese needs a win.
    • 14:20 CHELSEA: Cech, Ivanovic, David Luiz, Cahill, Cole; Ramires, Essien, Lampard (c); Sturridge, Drogba, Mata... Subs: Turnbull, Bertrand, Mikel, Meireles, Malouda, Kalou, Torres. /// BOLTON: Bogdan, Steinsson, Wheater, Ream, Ricketts, Muamba, Reo-Coker, Pratley, Miyaichi, Tuncay, Ngog... Subs: Jaaskelainen, Robinson, Eagles, Knight, Klasnic, Boyata, Sordell.

  7. AVB just needs time to get his plan for Chelsea out, if it means we drop to 5 or 6th one year so what! I'm concerned that we still rely too much on old players - let's face it Lampard isn't going to be like Giggs or Maldini how the hell can Lampard dictate the way the match goes? Sturridge and Mata to a better job than him these days ffs... Drogba we all know will drop everything and go to LA when he is given a good deal... AVB isn't the Special One but he's getting somewhere. I have faith that he will make Chelsea the youngest and most threatening side in the League by next year (if the world doesn't end haha)
