    • - Remember - you can watch highlights of the game on this website from 00.01 UK time tomorrow morning (UK users only). I would strongly recommend it.
    • - Thanks for joining me tonight - what a pair of goals by Cisse. He's made for Europe, and that win puts Toon closer to the Champions League - although Spurs' win, their goal difference and the fact they don't play Manchester City gives the North London side advantage. Who knows though - this season has been crazy to say the least. Any more chat and Tweet me @Reda_Eurosport, I am done. FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • 90+10 The final whistle goes and Cisse drops to the turf in prayer and why not. He can do what he wants tonight - two incredible goals give Toon a 2-0 win at Chelsea. Wow.
    • 90+9 Chelsea just want this to end now, as do Toon. Both sides going through the motions.
    • 90+8 Jonas wins a free-kick to run the clock down a bit further.
    • 90+7 Mata drags it well wide after Bosingwa's cross was deflected into his path. Jonas is down with cramp; Chelsea fans leaving, possibly to get some highlights of that in the pub.
    • 90+6 Ashley Cole is equally stunned, gesticulating wildly to a team-mate on the bench about that goal.
    • 90+5 I'm dumbfounded. What a goal. Crumbs. The throw-in was chested on by Ameobi and, from the left wing, Cisse unleashed a quite astounding effort that swerved and flew up and around Cech inside the top right. I can't describe it, you have to look at our video highlights from midnight tonight.
    • 90+4 CISSE SCORES AN INCREDIBLE GOAL! Even better than the first one! What an amazing goal!!!
    • 90+3 Toon are taking their sweet time over everything, throws and all. They get it in the Chelsea half though, rugby style territory play.
    • 90+2 Mikel with a terrible pass straight to Jonas.
    • 90+1 Krul takes age over a goal-kick, and he is booked. TEN minutes added on. Plus the rest for that piece of time wasting, not for the first time.
    • 90' High ball in from Ivanovic but too heavy for Ramires, who hits over.
    • 89' Bosingwa with a super mazy dribble but Coloccini intervenes at the death, a corner to Chelsea. Toon scramble it clear but Torres crosses back in, Taylor clearing.
    • 88' OFF THE LINE BY SANTON! Great corner from Mata, angled to the edge of the six-yard box, flicked towards the top-left by Terry but a heroic header from the Italian!
    • 88' NEWCASTLE SUB: Busy minute this as Obertan replaces Ben Arfa.
    • 87' A Lampard shot from range is deflected well wide but it's still a corner!
    • 87' Drogba with a fine touch but then a poor pass, well ahead of Lampard and straight to a Magpie.
    • 86' Coloccini just about flicks it wide for a corner after a nice cross from the left. Mata puts the corner in but Jonas, once more, clears.
    • 85' Cisse is fractionally offside after a lovely clipped ball by Ameobi!
    • 84' Lampard sends a high ball into the box but Santon and Jonas clear.
    • 83' Drogba hits the deck, holding his head after an aerial challenge with Williamson.
    • 82' Cisse fouls Mikel. Remember - because of that injury to Tiote we are more like 73 minutes in. Still plenty of time.
    • 81' A bit of a scramble after Ramires ghosts into the Toon box but they get it clear amidst yelps for a Cabaye handball. Lampard then hammers a half-volley wide after Williamson's defensive header.
    • 80' Drogba goes down after running into Coloccini and, to be fair, he bounces up without appeal. It came from a Torres flick.
    • 79' Another Drogba free-kick, again poor and over.
    • 78' CHELSEA SUB: Lampard on for Meireles.
    • 77' Drogba takes the free-kick from wide but sends it wide. Wasteful.
    • 76' Free-kick to Chelsea on the left as Lampard prepares to enter the fray.
    • 75' NEWCASTLE SUB: Ameobi replaces Ba.
    • 74' Ben Arfa spanks a long-range shot well over. Still waiting for news on Tiote.
    • 73' Ba lost his rag there, it was a minor infraction from Ivanovic and he's still at it! Low free-kick cleared by Torres.
    • 72' Ivanovic pushes Ba in the back, the Senegal striker going down very easily and after a few rolls gets up to confront the Serb. Nothing in that.
    • 71' Breat cross by Bosingwa, Drogba flies in far post but Williamson gets a vital touch! Mata has it now and Torres can shoot but well over.
    • 70' Coloccini does really well to bring it away and start an attack. Now Ben Arfa finds Taylor, he releases Cisse but the Senegalese smacks a poor cross-shot well over. A mis-hit.
    • 69' Chelsea look to exploit the swing in momentum but Drogba can't turn Coloccini.
    • 68' Tiote is finally carried off after being stabilised. It's hard to know how serious that was, I can only go by the reaction of those on the pitch, which was calm. Ryan Taylor is on in his place.
    • 67' Tiote's team-mates don't look overly worried, I assume he has regained conciousness. Eight minutes delay now. Hopefully he's okay.
    • 65' Tiote seems to be out cold - they have the oxygen mask on and are strapping him up.
    • 63' The stretcher is out for Tiote - he got an arm from Mikel in the face, in front of the ref, and it seems he is not going to play on. Not sure if he's concussed or has broken his nose.
    • 62' Tiote is still down. Not looking good for him.
    • 61' CHELSEA SUB: Drogba replaces Malouda. Huge cheers. Torres has been drifting wide anyway so this works.
    • 60' Tiote gets a taste of his own medicine as Mikel leaves him in a heap. The arm was raised, possibly because he had been similarly 'done' by the Ivorian.
    • 59' Given away by Mata of all people. This could well not be Chelsea's day.
    • 58' Torres may have picked up a knock but I think he's okay. Now Tiote catches Mikel but nothing doing.
    • 57' Mata will curl this in with his left, from the right... Poor, well beyond the far post and out for a goal kick.
    • 56' Cabaye chops Ramires down after giving the ball away - booking.
    • 55' Mikel has an effort from range but well wide. He has never scored in the Prem.
    • 54' Ramires to Meireles, Mikel finds Torres but a good tackle by Coloccini. Perch clears from Mata.
    • 53' This one is cleared though, all the back with Krul. Now Bosingwa on the ball after Santon gives it away, but the cross catches Torres offisde. Pards is furious with Santon, who apolgises.
    • 52' Toon win a corner on the right. They've caused problems with these.
    • 51' Ba sends Cisse down the left as Toon counter. The pitch is a mess now, the rain not helping. Cisse can't get past Ivanovic though.
    • 50' Torres wins a throw on the left, working the channels very hard tonight.
    • 49' Free-kick to Chelsea on the left which Mata will swing in. Good header clear by Williamson though, Meireles winning a throw on the right. But his touch lets him down, or rather Ramires's throw is rushed, and it's out again.
    • 48' Mata has injected some quality into Chelsea's play, finding Ramires but his cross is headed away by Williamson.
    • 47' Chelsea get right into the start of this half as Torres gets the better of Coloccini on the right, superb backheel cross to the far post, Meireles and Mata fly in but Tiote blocks!
    • 46' The second half is underway!
    • - CHELSEA SUB: Mata on for Sturridge. Makes sense.
    • - @zakliverpoolfan: "i think chelsea will win 2-1 as torres is playing really well but what do you think?"; @tholloway93: "had to be Cisse. He makes you forget how long it is since Ba lastv scored though!"; @08Prateek: "do u think that nufc can hold off chelseas attacks if sturridge goes and drogba comes on?" FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • - Half-time chat - Tweet me, if you want. Don't, if you don't. FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • - STATS: Chelsea shade possession 51%-49%; the Blues also shade shots off target by 6-5, but they trail Toon 2-5 in shots on target and - crucially - in GOALS.
    • 45+1 Half-time and Newcastle lead 1-o through a wonder-goal for Papiss Cisse.
    • 45+1 Another corner is taken short, Cabaye crossing for Williamson, but his header is well over.
    • 45' BA HITS THE BAR! The corner was slipped to the edge of the box - stepover from Cabaye too - and he smacked a rising drive off the top of the woodwork!
    • 45' Ben Arfa swings it near post, Bertrand well placed to clear behind for another one - Williamson was lurking too.
    • 44' Ba on the ball, he takes on Ivanovic and drills it through his legs, it almost deceives Cech but he palms it wide! Corner.
    • 43' Williamson is still up after the corner but Bertrand is able to clear. Chelsea can't break on the scrappy-looking pitch, strong tacklinb from Tiote, now Cabaye clips it in for Ba but he's offside.
    • 42' Bosingwa chops down Jonas on the Toon left wing - looks like Cabaye will swing it in... headed away by Meireles, poor ball.
    • 41' Mikel fouls Cisse on the edge of the box as the Senegalese dithered. Lucky escape for him.
    • 40' Ben Arfa with a mazy run and through-ball but Ba is offside when he receives it.
    • 39' OVER BY IVANOVIC! Meireles's corner found him unmarked at the far post but it was a touch too high for the Serb and he nodded it over the bar!
    • 39' A sturridge shot from the right side of the box is deflected heavily, up in the air and behind for a Chelsea corner. This is much better from Chelsea.
    • 38' JUST WIDE BY MALOUDA! Wonderful run and cross from Torres on the right, what a ball, and Malouda beats the defence with an imperious header but he flashes it past the far post! Massive chance!
    • 37' The home fans roar as they think Coloccini ran it out for a corner, and he appeared to overrun it! The same linesman that got the throw wrong gets another one wrong.
    • 36' Ivanovic tries to find Bertrand but that pass is poor, too heavy, out for a throw. Jeers from Toon fans.
    • 35' Chelsea react with surprise as the throw is given to Newcastle - poor decision, last touch clearly off Perch.
    • 34' A long ball sends Malouda racing away by Perch slides in to put man and ball to touch.
    • 33' Ba almost gets into a dangerous area but Chelsea clear; now Ben Arfa weaves in and out of the Chelsea defence, he combines with Cabaye but eventually it's put to touch.
    • 32' Meireles with a fine clipped ball into the danger area, both Torres and Ramires attack but Perch flicks it away - the flag goes up anyway, an offside.
    • 31' Chelsea with a fair amount of possession but they don't like chasing a game, not when Toon are happy to sit deep and look for the break.
    • 30' Malouda finds Ramires with a fine pass but the Brazilian gets the shot wrong, dragging it well wide.
    • 28' STAT: Chelsea have lost 17 PL matches in their last two seasons. They had lost only 23 times in their previous six PL seasons going back to when Jose Mourinho took charge of the club. (Infostrada)
    • 27' A Chelsea attack breaks down as Sturridge once again loses possession. I don't like him playing out wide, he needs to be a centre forward.
    • 26' Toon are looking oddly comfortable at the moment - sitting deep, yes, but resisting with relative ease.
    • 25' Cabaye can't clear properly and it lands to Sturridge but he skies the shot.
    • 24' Toon take the mick as Ba backheels the ball noncholantly on the right wing.
    • 24' Cisse shrugs off Bosingwa but is unable to find Ba with the cross. I thought Chelsea would cruise this, the bottom having fallen out of Toon last weekend, but maybe I underestimated them!
    • 23' A long ball from Ivanovic is easy for Krul, well beyond Torres and co.
    • 22' Perch with a deep cross that Bosingwa heads away, Cabaye back on it but Ba is offside as he lofts it in.
    • 21' Chelsea try to bounce back but Krul races out with a long ball almost sending Sturridge in.
    • 20' 12 in 12 for Cisse. Striker!
    • 19' GOAL NEWCASTLE! What a strike by Cisse! He flicks it up with his left and volleys it top-right with his right after a fine move, Santon finding him with a low pass from the left wing. Shades of the Le Tissier, and Henry, about that. Goal goal goal!
    • 18' A Terry wander sees him end up on the right wing, he slips away from Santon and puts in a nutmeg on Jonas too and the cross from Sturridge is terrible, out for a goal kick.
    • 17' Torres almost sent through by Malouda but Williamson intercepts. The Frenchman should have lofted it long and high, Torres would cream him for pace every time.
    • 16' Chelsea forced back into their own half by Toon's high pressing. They'll have no problem with that, operating the deeper defensive line post-AvB.
    • 15' High ball far post, flicked on by Williamson and Ba chests and volleys but he gets it all wrong, spooning it over! Should have done better with the overhead!
    • 14' Sturridge gives away a free-kick on halfway. Ben Arfa skins Bertrand, who handles. Toon free-kick on he right, Ben Arfa to swing in...
    • 13' Tiote tries a long-range shot but, low and weak, it's easy for Cech to get down to claim.
    • 12' Cisse gets behind Ivanovic with a superb flick, he's in but pushed wide left and strangely chips a weak shot too flat and well beyond Ba. Great build-up, poor ending.
    • 11' That was the first major chance tonight and it was a biggie - Sturridge appeared to hesitate as he swung his left boot at the ball, should have scored.
    • 10' Chelsea back in possession now as Torres flies down the left, superb low cross and STURRIDGE CAN FINISH but he mis-kicks it! Well wide in the end.
    • 9' In addition to the challenge, the replay shows Tiote - probably accidentally - stamped on Ramires's hand. Ow.
    • 8' Ramires is left in a heap by Tiote but play-on says the ref! Looked a foul to me.
    • 7 Santon gets forward down the left and he cuts inside unchallenged but the cross-shot is blocked, in the air and Terry heads clear.
    • 6' Finally a spell on the ball for Toon as they hold on to it for a minute or so. Mostly in their own half, mind.
    • 5' Chelsea dominating these early stages, Toon haven't got anywhere near the home goal.
    • 4' Meireles takes the free-kick but it goes straight into the chest of Krul.
    • 3' Tiote takes down Ramires around 30 yards out and he is booked. Good play by Torres in the build-up.
    • 2' A long ball from Meireles sends Torres away, Krul rushes outside his box, forcing Torres wide and the Spaniard can only cut it back, the chance going in the end.
    • 1' Terry with a long ball, superb chest and lay-off from Torres but Meireles blasts well over!
    • 1' The first half is underway at Stamford Bridge.
    • 19:42 Bucketing down in West London. Coloccini needs to watch his hair, will be a mess come half-time.
    • 19:40 MATCH ODDS: Chelsea 4/9, Newcastle 11/2, Draw 7/2

    • 19:30 FACTS from Opta: Fernando Torres has scored four goals in his last 91 minutes of football for Chelsea; Yohan Cabaye has assisted each of Papiss Cisse’s last four Premier League goals.
    • 19:25 FACTS from Opta: Chelsea are unbeaten in their last six Premier League games, the joint-best current run along with Everton; Newcastle have lost five of their last eight Premier League away games, conceding 19 goals in those five defeats.
    • 19:20 FACTS from Opta: Chelsea are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League games against Newcastle United; The Magpies have not won any of their 17 Premier League trips to Stamford Bridge; United’s last league win at Chelsea was in November 1986 (3-1).
    • 19:15 Alan Pardew (Newcastle): "The last three games are going to be about our season in terms of making sure we finish strongly. I am not bothered if we lose all three, if I am honest, but the performances have to be right because we are playing three good teams and two away games in there. The performances need to be right. It wasn't on Saturday, and that's unlike us."
    • 19:15 Remember, Chelsea have an FA Cup final on Saturday, against Liverpool. David Luiz and Gary Cahill are in a race against time to be for that match, although surely they'll be wrapped in cotton wool for the Champions League final, which John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic will miss. Roberto Di Matteo said: "We've not talked about it at all (the weekend's FA Cup final). I'm deciding for the game with Newcastle. We'll see how the game goes and then I'll be thinking about Saturday."
