    • 90+7' Heitinga hooks the set piece back into the mixer but Begovic claims it befor eFellaini can reach it with a header.

    • 90+5' Fellaini appears to have elbowed Whelan in the side of the head there. The Belgian perhaps lucky to still be on the pitch, depending on the intent there.

    • 60' A high hanging ball to the Stoke far post is just too high for Fellaini. Jagielka claims his pass took a slight deflection before going out for goal kick, but the officials give it Stoke's way.

    • 45+2' The corner is swung in and Fellaini guides his header over the bar! Shawcross had both of his arms wrapped around the Belgian and the referee had a good view, but he is not intrested in hearing claims for a penalty!
    • 45+2' Baines's corner is poor but it's headed out for an Everton throw. Shawcross has to clear for a corner on the other side.
    • 45+1' Everton clear the corner and Shotton takes Coleman's legs right out from under him. Everton win a free-kick and Shotton is lucky not to get a booking for that. Walters helps out int he Stoke defence and concedes a corner.
    • 45' Shawcross gets in front of Howard and flicks his header over the bar! It must have taken a deflection off the keeper's gloves, because a corner is given.
    • 44' Crouch shields the ball from Osman and draws the foul from the Everton man. He went down in instalments, but it's a free-kick to Stoke from by the corner flag.
    • 43' Jagielka floats a ball forward into the smart run of Cahill. The Australian gets around the back of Huth but cannot connect with his volley on the turn, a very difficult technique in all fairness.
    • 41' Whitehead receives some treatment on the field. He's made of sterner stuff, though. It will be interesting to see what happens next time those two meet!
    • 40' Coleman goes in side on into a challenge on Whitehead and he catches the Stoke man. The Irishman seemed to stamp down as he went into the challenge. Surprised Coleman didn't get a booking for that.
    • 39' Great Everton pressure now and the Toffees win another corner off Wilson.
    • 38' It's another dodgy punch from Sorensen, and again Stoke surive. At least it was the right decision this time, only the execution was lacking.
    • 37' Cahill brings the ball forward and feeds Vellios. The Greek's return pass runs behind Cahill, which kills the momentum of the move. Everton retain possession, however, and Bilyaletdinov wins a corner off Shotton.
    • 35' The corner is flicked on at the near post and it flashes right in front of Shotton as he stoops in to head home from inside the six-yard box! He lost his marker but could not react quickly enough, and in a flash the chance is gone.
    • 34' Coleman has to track Etherington down the flank and concede a corner.
    • 33' Matthew Etherington nutmegs Jagielka and surges forward from the left and Heitinga slides in with a rugged challenge.
    • 32' Stoke have men forward as they have the ball around the edge of the Everton box. There are several blue shirts too, though, and the attempted strike is blocked.

    • 18' Thomas Sorensen comes off his line to punch the corner clear but he miscues it. Luckily for the Stoke keeper, the ball drops right in front of him and he can gather it at the second attempt.

    • 13' Vellios is Everton's top scorer this season with three goals – all three goals have come as a substitute. If he scores before his birthday next month, he is the first teenager since James Vaughan in 2006/2007 to score at least four goals in a Premier League season for Everton.
