90+5' CITY ARE CHAMPIONS! Manchester City become English champions for the first time since 1968 as they beat Queens Park Rangers 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium.
90+4' GOAL MANCHESTER CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sergio Aguero scores a superb goal, weaving his way into the penalty area before firing a shot past Kenny at the near post. Amazing scenes at the Etihad.
90+2' GOAL MANCHESTER CITY! City win their 18th corner and Dzeko heads home the equaliser.
90' City force two more corners and from the second Kenny pushes away Balotelli’s close-range header.
80' A powerful drive from Balotelli but Kenny is equal to the task as he pushes the effort away.
79' Aguero gets to the by-line and his cut back is met by Dzeko but Kenny gets a foot to it and it is narrowly wide. Some fans though it was in.
77' Jay Bothroyd on for Bobby Zamora as Stoke equalise at Bolton to further boost QPR's survival chances. Stoke City v Bolton Wanderers: LIVE
76' Nasri’s effort is over the crossbar as Mario Balotelli replaces Tevez.
73' Kenny tips Tevez’s header over the top and then Zabaleta’s shot is deflected behind. City piling on the pressure.
68' Edin Dzeko on for Barry.
65' AMAZING – QPR SCORE! A rare counter attack, Traore bursts 50 yards down the left, beats one man and delivers a pinpoint cross which is met by Jamie Mackie whose header puts QPR 2-1 AHEAD.
58' Amazing double save from Kenny who blocks Tevez’s shot and then claws Aguero’s follow-up off the line after letting that effort slip through his grasp.
57' QPR bring on Armand Traore for Cisse as the 10-men reshuffle.
56' A great close-range save by Kenny with his legs to deny Nasri.
54' JOEY BARTON SENT-OFF! The controversial midfielder is dismissed for an off-the-ball incident with Carlos Tevez. It is hard to see who instigated the contact but what is in no doubt is that he kneed Aguero and then headbutted Kompany in a melee after being shown red. He was hauled off the pitch by Micah Richards (who was trying to help) but still had time to confront Mario Balotelli before going down the tunnel.
48' GOAL QPR! Amazing stuff as Joleon Lescott makes a complete hash of an attemped headed clearance and Djibril Cisse fires home an equaliser.
46' The second-half begins, City 45 minutes away from the title.
44' Yaya Toure could become the first player in Premier League history to win the title on his birthday. But his work is done today as he is off with that hamstring injury and is replaced by Nigel de Jong.
39' GOAL MANCHESTER CITY! Toure feeds a pass through to Pablo Zabaleta whose poke at goal is straight at Paddy Kenny but weak hands from the QPR keeper and the ball loops into the net.
25' Cisse’s low drive is well held by Hart.
16' Kenny gets down well to smother Silva’s effort from an acute angle.

mancity for adam johnson
To everyone that wants Barton banned for life you do realise that there are footballers that have slept with there brothers wife, slept with there team mates wife, drink drive, punch girls at nightclubs etc etc.
Couldn't agree more with James 526. Barton (the t0$$er) getting himself sent off gave City 5 extra minutes and, boy didn't we use them well....?? He should be banned for a season and dumped by QPR if they have any sense. He is serious trouble and will cost any team he plays for points. If he'd kept his head when Tevez challenged him, QPR would probably have won and Man Ure would be champions so, in a funny sort of way, well done Joey - you pr!ck.
@ Ann Jian 430 If you're a Man Utd supporter, stay where you are. We don't want or need any glory hunters. City fans have stuck with our side through thick and thin, so you should do the same. We have no time for those who just want to be associated with success and will switch allegiances on the basis of one good season.
@534 Stevo42 What game were you at? Barton is scum. He was hated by his team mates at City, Everton and Newcastle and he's now bringing QPR down to his level. So much for anger management, eh? You can take the man out of Liverpool but you can't take Liverpool out of the man. Barton should be banned for at least a season. He openly admitted in a Tweet that he tried to take Tevez and Aguero out and had a go at Kompany. Pity he didn't have a go at Kompany somewhere quiet as Barton would now be recuperating in a wheelchair. My only sadness at last weekend's result is that QPR didn't go down and that Bolton did. QPR set out their stall to have 11 players behind the ball and, aside from a poor back header from Lescott and Nasri being too lazy to track back, QPR wouldn't have had a shot on goal or got out of their own half. Pathetic mockneys. Hope they end up in League 2 where they deserve.
what i find an amazing oversight on the sending off incident in this game is how the linesman who got Joey sent off failed to see Tevez blatently attack Barton he kicked him then through a fist his way not defending joey but if he was a cheat like Tevez he would of just gone down in a heap and got him sent off. But joey being an say it as he see,s it wear your heart on yer sleave type geezer he just decided to batter him and his team mates instead
finally its a trophy less season for MU.Well done to city. From a Liverpool fan.
Well done city they deserved to beat qpr and well done to them for winning the league and that barton geezer should be banned from football forever.
New book out today about Man Utd 2011/12 season. Unfortunately it's got no title, ha, ha, ha.
MU fan here, but I have to say MU sucked this season, congrats to City, thinking about switching sides.
They called the players 'Mercenaries'. They called the owners 'Moneybags'. They called us fans 'Glory Hunters'. Who's having the last laugh now? Manchester City Football Club "Champions". Together We Are ONE. City for life.
