    • 58' Kyle Naughton gets a foot in to stop Nani's run towards the box.

    • 46' The second half is underway!
    • HT So, what do you make of the first half? Should Norwich attempt to grind out a point or are they capable of getting more? What is the reason for United's flat showing thus far? You can share your thoughts either int he comments box below or by getting in touch with me via Twitter - @tony_mabert Get in touch!
    • HT Manchester United failed to score in the first half of a Premier League match at Old Trafford for only the fourth time in 2011. In all three previous ones they went on to win without conceding a goal.
    • 45+1' The first half comes to a close, and Norwich deserve to be level at the break. A certain creative spark is missing from this United side at the moment though.
    • 45' Nani sidesteps Tierney with a classy feint and goes for goal, but he slashes at his strike and it flies wide of Ruddy's goal. If he had caught that right it would have been some goal.
    • 44' Chicharito is caught fractionally offside after a neat bit of quick play from United ends with Rooney lifting a weighted pass over the defence for his Mexican strike partner.
    • 43' Nani is played into the box on the right and it takes a timely challenge from Martin to thwart to winger. Great challenge, but things are getting a bit dicey for Norwich as the first half draws to a close.
    • 42' Adnrson crosses for Park, but the Korean cannot generate enough power in his header to trouble Ruddy.
    • 40' Hernandez has really been in the wars so far. The Mexican striker was basically sat upon a few minutes ago by Russell Martin, and now he gets a hard rap on the shins from Tierney.
    • 38' Great tenacity from Rooney, who refuses to be tackled by Tierney. He stands up to the tackle well, and lets out his frustration with a shot on the turn from 35 yards that sails comfortably wide of the near post.
    • 36' Encouraging news for Norwich fans - six of their seven league goals this season have been scored in the 20-minute period between the 30th and 50th minutes.
    • 35' Better delivery from Nani this time. Rooney times his run well and leaps at the far post but heads over the bar! The England striker didn't get a clean contact on it.
    • 34' Bennett concedes another corner. United turning the screw on the visitors now.
    • 33' Nani's corner is low and to the near post. Fletcher tries a Roberto Mancini-style backheel on goal (worth a look online if you've never seen it) but it's blocked before it can test Ruddy.
    • 32' United win a corner and both Jones and Evans trot up from the back for it.
    • 31' United are finding a few pockets of space when they attakc now. Nani has spaceto run at Marc Tierney, but the Norwich left-back gets a boot in to rob the Portuguese of the ball.
    • 29' Manchester United have won six of their eight Premier League matches against Norwich. However, they lost in their last meeting – a 2-0 defeat at Carrow Road in April 2005 when Dean Ashton and Leon McKenzie scored the goals.
    • 28' Well organised resistance from the Canaries, and they are not in any panicky rush to get rid of the ball once they win back possession.
    • 27' United beginning build pressure on Norwich now. Rooney, Park, Nani and Hernandez all getting plenty of touches around the edge of the visitors' box.
    • 25' Random fact: On this day in 1995, Eric Cantona returned for Manchester United after a nine-month ban for attacking a Crystal Palace fan. He scored a penalty and provided an assist in their 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
    • 24' Morison is penalised for backing into Evans as the pair tussle for another pass upfield.
    • 23' Hernandez is incorrectly judged to have been offside as he chases after a ball down the right channel.
    • 22' Morison beats the offside trap and takes another long ball forward on the runa nd Evans slides in to nick the ball off him, but only after getting two tries at doing so! The Northern Ireland defender really does not look comfortable against the Welshman.
    • 21' Possession stats so far show that Norwich have had 56% of the ball. Surprised it's not more, to be honest.
    • 19' Anthony Pilkington (yes, Anthony), cuts in from the left wing and has a pop from distance that is blocked by Anderson. Norwich playing without fear. Paul Lambert has done a good job of geeing his players up for this one.
    • 18' Morison certainly appears to have the beating of Evans going by the evidence of these early exchanges.
    • 17' Norwich are getting far more success in the centre of the parkk than they probably expected. A long dinked ball is chested down by Morison and he fires through Jonny Evans's legs and wide of the far post!
    • 15' Anthony Pilkington pings a nice ball out wide for Hoolahan, but the Irishman's first touch is enough to let Valencia shepherd the ball out for a goal kick.
    • 13' Morison is really putting himself about up front for the Canaries. Twice his bustling almost gets the better of Jones and then he outwits Valencia chasing a 50/50 ball. The Welshman is judged to have impeded Jones, though.
    • 12' Nani swings in United's first corner of the game. It seems to ping off someone's back but hard enough to coem out of the area. rooney whips in a dangerous second ball but play is eventually stopped for a foul on a Norwich defender.
    • 10' David Fox is penalised for a foul in midfield on Anderson. United take the free-kick quickly and Nani fires into the crowd from range.
    • 9' Ruddy's big kick out is flicked on by Morison for Wes Hoolahan, who takes it on his chest and fires a half-volley on the turn way off target from 30 yards. Worth a go though.
    • 8' Wayne Rooney has scored six goals and one assist in his last eight Premier League matches at Old Trafford. Rooney has scored 10 goals in his last six Premier League starts.
    • 7' United are completely dominating possession. So far the pattern is come forward down the right, cross in for Ruddy to catch, win ball back and repeat...
    • 6' Manchester United’s have won 18 consecutive home matches, extending their Premier League record and equalling an overall club record.
    • 5' United deal with the set piece well enough, but they were really caught out down the left for that chance.
    • 4' Elliott Bennett scampers down the right and gets to the byline! He tries to square across to Steve Morison but it's cut out by Phil Jones! Corner to Norwich.
    • 2' First attack from United. Darren Fletcher brings the ball forward and slips it through to Wayne Rooney, but the first-time strike does not trouble John Ruddy.
    • 1' United kick-off and we're underway at Old Trafford!
    • 14:59 Chicharito is praying. The Norwich players are huddling. We're almost ready to go...
    • 14:55 The fans await the players. Today's referee is Stuart Attwell (Warwickshire).

    • 14:40 Manchester United have allowed their opponents more shots (85) against them than any other Premier League club this season; they have also kept just two clean sheets in their last 10 league matches.
    • 14:37 Norwich are without striker James Vaughan as he is set to be out for up to four months with a knee injury. Centre-back Zak Whitbread misses out with a hamstring problem, while on-loan United defender Ritchie de Laet is unavailable against his parent club. Defenders Elliott Ward and Dani Ayala (both knee) remain out, as is young forward Oli Johnson, who has had ankle surgery.
    • 14:35 Manchester United strikers Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez return to fitness - and start together up front. Rooney has not featured since United's 3-1 victory over Chelsea on September 18 while Hernandez was forced off with a dead leg in last Saturday's draw against Stoke City. Centre-half Jonny Evans also returns to the starting line-up but fellow defenders Nemanja Vidic and Chris Smalling and midfielder Tom Cleverley are not yet fit.
