    • 54' Clark does very well to chase down a stray pass on the left and tackles Jones well. He goes down far too easily to try and win a free kick and the referee is having none of it.

    • 31' Lichaj floats in a cross from the left which Heskey gets up to, but it's slightly too high and his header is weak and wide of the Baggies goal.
    • 30' Ridgwell takes far too long to pick a pass from a throw and it's given away to Aston Villa, who come forward through Lichaj.
    • 29' West Brom happy to play the ball around the middle of the pitch.
    • 28' Jones fails to deal with a ball over the top and Agbonlahor is on to it in a flash, his touch is poor and Foster is out well to smother the ball.
    • 27' Dorrans finds himself on the edge of the Villa box, he leaves it for Odemwingie to shoot but it's well wide.
    • 26' Mulumbu gives the ball away cheaply in the centre of midfield, he wins it back, and West Brom attack.
    • 25' Big chance for Villa. It's Dunne who finds himself on the right wing, he brings the ball down expertly and swings and crosses for Herd, who hits his shot too close to Foster.
    • 24' West Brom attempt to attack down the left, but Long pulls back Hutton, for seemingly no reason, and Villa have the free kick deep inside their own half.
    • 23' The corner is a deep and Olsson is completely unmarked on the back post. He volleys towards goal but it's cleared by Dunne.
    • 22' Dunne gets away without a yellow card for a clumsy challenge on Jones. Opportunity here on the right side from West Brom. Brunt swings in the free kick but it's Dunne who heads away for a corner.
    • 21' Herd tries a clipped pass in into the West Brom box but it's not as clever as he might have thought it was and it's cleared by Albion.
    • 20' A promising looking attack for West Brom breaks down as Ridgewell plays the ball behind Dorrans.
    • 19' Brunt is receiving a bit of a ticking off from the referee for a clumsy challenge. May be his last warning.
    • 18' Lichaj has a real arm on him with the long throw. I'm not completely sure why they're trying those from their own half though. A couple of times now that's been how Villa have given the ball straight back to the Baggies.
    • 17' N'Zogbia is played through by Agbonlahor but instead of crossing, he hits a poor shot wide of the left post.
    • 15' This hasn't been the stalemate a lot were expecting so far. It's edgy, but Villa aren't looking bad, and they've won a free kick on the right side which will be taken by N'Zogbia.
    • 14' Clark is pressing hard and he's getting his rewards. Twice now West Brom have given the ball away under pressure .
    • 13' The corner is cleared away easily by the Villa defence, but Albion have the ball back.
    • 12' Brunt has an effort from around 25 yards out, it's blocked by Cuellar and the ball is out for a corner to the Baggies.
    • 11' Warnock plays a nice through ball to Agbonlahor but he can't arc his run enough to avoid being caught offside.
    • 10' Odemwingie looks keen today, his pace is getting the better of Dunne at the moment.
    • 9' Powerful run from Long and his cross-shot isn't dealt with by the Villa's Cuellar. It doesn't fall well for Odemwingie, the ball is a bit behind him, he tries to dig out a shot but it's blocked by Given.
    • 8' The ball falls to Warnock on the edge of the West Brom penalty area, but his shot is blocked, the ball loops up in the air and it's cleared.
    • 7' Chance for West Brom to counter attack through Long but he hasn't got enough support. Thomas overlaps but instead Long tries to switch the play, but the Villa defence are back quickly.
    • 6' It's all Villa at the moment. Impressive start from the visitors.
    • 5' Well played from Heskey. He takes a heavy touch but keeps the ball in and wins a corner. The ball is swung in by N'Zogbia which is met by the head of Agbonlahor. Under pressure from Foster, he heads over.
    • 4' Clark wins the ball back well just outside the West Brom box - he plays it to Heskey, who is muscled off the ball.
