    • 90+4 Moses goes on a run now, he gets past one man but not Distin. Jones on the right now but the whistle goes, a 1-1 draw and Tim Howard is relieved somewhat.
    • 90+4 Jelavic bundles Beausejour over in the Wigan box as he tried to jostle for space ahead of a possible cross.
    • 90+3 Jones to take this from the right, Howard flaps and Crusat can shoot but he can't control it! He does shoot and Nev blocks, Donovan tries to clear but straight to Moses who can't finish!
    • 90+2 McCarthy plays a nice ball wide to Moses but Heitinga clears his cross at the near post. Corner.
    • 90+1 Four minutes added time being played.
    • 90' Nice cross by Crusat aimed for Moses, but behind by Heitinga, but Howard signals the ball had already gone out and the linesman agrees.
    • 89' Jelavic, Gibson and Baines - all superb from this range - are arguing over it... it's left of centre so a righty should take it... Lefty Baines takes though, swinging it over. Should have been a righty.
    • 88' Great touch by Jelavic to get past Figueroa, who brings him down on the edge of the box. Booking.
    • 87' Crusat on the edge of the box but blocked by Heitinga again!
    • 86' Both sides pushing for the win now, could be an interesting finish!
    • 84' I am told that Everton have never lost a Premier League match in which Anichebe has scored. Sounds fishy to me but still..
    • 83' Baines swings it in but headed clear by Caldwell at the near post, back to Baines who puts in a great cross AND ANICHEBE POWERS IN THE HEADER! Great header, 1-1!
    • 82' EVERTON SUB: Anichebe on for Everton. Hibbert makes way.
    • 82' Donovan sends the corner in, Jelavic attacks but blocked for another corner to Everton!
    • 81' To be fair to Wigan they have had around 56% possession throughout this match and nearly 80% in the last five minutes. Will be different now though as Baines wins a corner off Moses.
    • 80' The goal is being awarded to Phill Neville as an own-goal, as he got the touch that diverted it goal-bound. It should really be given to Mr P. Itch though.
    • 79' Fellaini flicks on a cross from the right but Boyce clears. Rodallega breaks but he loses control of it, should have passed to Moses!
    • 78' Everton chucking the kitchen sink at Wigan who are resisting sternly; they counter, Moses goes down but no foul.
    • 77' End-to-end now as Donovan thinks his shot was handled; and down the other end Moses is in but he shoots when he had Crusat free, blocked and Everton clear!
    • 76' Oh deary me. Well it's not really Howard's fault as the deflected shot was going into his arms but it bounced horribly and flew away from his grasp!
    • 75' HOWLER FROM HOWARD! GOAL WIGAN! Beausejour's cross was deflected but Howard had it covered and he dropped it!
    • 74' Crusat feeds Beausejour wide left but his cross curls out of play before Moses reaches it.
    • 73' Almost a clever ball by Fellaini but Baines was still offside.
    • 72' Wigan are all over the place at the free-kick as the ball ricochets around the box but McArthur - who has been in the thick of it recently - hacks clear from Pienaar!
    • 71' Baines on the run down the left, he cuts inside and McArthur is lucky not to see a second yellow for a cynical shirt pull!
    • 70' Corner to Wigan that Jones wil take, great ball as Howard hesitates but McArthur misses it and it bounces clear!
    • 69' McArthur on the edge of the box, he has a crack and it hits the arm of a sliding Heitinga but just a corner! Wigan want a penalty!
    • 68' WIGAN SUB: Di Santo is hurt and has come off for Crusat.
    • 67' High ball into the Wigan box but Fellaini is offside.
    • 65' Everton fans are singing 'follow the Jelavic road'. Good.
    • 64' As a result Wigan go 3-4-3, Moses pushing up higher.
    • 63' WIGAN SUBS: Jones and Rodallega on for Gomez and Stam as Wigan go for it!
    • 62' Jelavic stays onside down the right, good cross and Fellaini attacks but Caldwell blocks and Wigan half-clear! Jelavic on it again but he handles. Lively entrance for the Croat!
    • 61' That seemed to boost Everton who start to for Wigan. Hibbert gets in down the right, low ball and Jelavic steps over it but intercepted before Fellaini can shoot!
    • 60' EVERTON SUB: Jelavic makes his Everton debut for Stracqualursi.
    • 59' Gibson with his third chance at a long shot but he catches it weakly, straight at Al-Habsi.
    • 58' The break loses impetus but Everton retain possession; they start at the back and play it out patiently for once.
    • 57' Gomez snatches at a half-chance outside the box and Everton can counter.
    • 55' McArthur goes into the back of Pienaar and he will see yellow.
    • 54' Down the other end a long ball feeds the Straq, he finds Fellaini in the six-yard box but a terrible first touch from him sees the danger calm.
    • 53' Pienaar feeds Donovan on the edge of the box, he tries a one-two again but cleared from the American. Wigan counter, Moses to Gomez but his ball to Di Santo is poor.
    • 52' Beausejour wins a free-kick off Fellaini, he will take it but Boyce fails to connect.
    • 51' McArthur initially does well to get away from Fellaini but then plays it behind Beausejour and out, to groans from the half-empty stands.
    • 50' Jelavic is warming up - I think we'd all like to see him make an entrance. Disappointed a defensive player was brought on for Cahill to be honest.
    • 49' Al-Habsi gets a touch, kicking clear a backpass.
    • 48' As expected Wigan trying to play it on the ground in the second half with Everton rather deep.
    • 46' The second half is underway!
    • - EVERTON SUB: Neville on for Cahill.
    • - Wigan leading possession stats by 53-47%.
    • - Any views on that match feel free to contact me on Twitter @Reda_Maher. Follow here!
    • 45+1 ... and the whistle goes for half-time, goalless and a few chances but not the most enthralling game in rainy, sleety conditions.
    • 45+1 One minute added time being played.
    • 45' Donovan is fouled just inside the Wigan half and the ref has a word with Gomez, who needs to watch it. Hoisted in by Heitinga but Fellaini commits a foul.
    • 44' Beausejour with a cross that takes a slight deflection but is easy for Howard.
    • 43' Stam fouls Pienaar but nothing given; Gomez then shows the studs to Cahill and is booked.
    • 41' Stracqualursi gives chase and Everton have the ball on the left. A misplaced pass from Gibson almost causes problems but Distin reads the error and sweeps up.
    • 40' Boyce lets Baines, bad mistake, he cuts is back AND GIBSON ON THE EDGE OF THE BOX but he blasts it over! He should have got that on target but Figueroa made it difficult with a lunging block.
    • 39' Beausejour's cross is flicked away from Distin even though Howard called for it, and the American is furious as the Frenchman plays it straight to a blue shirt. Everton clear.
    • 38' Howard is furious as, after he rushes out to clear a deflected ball following a defensive mix-up, Wigan get the throw even though it took a touch off Di Santo.
    • 37' Stam with a super run down the right, he hits the byline ahead of Baines and whips in a super low cross but Di Santo can only spoon it over! Great challenge by Hibbert on him though.
    • 36' The rain is driving down at the DW Stadium. Thankfully it's not snow. Ball sliding around well though.
    • 35' Long ball upfield by Caldwell but somewhat aimless. Di Santo catches Fellaini, then Gomez does and it's an Everton free-kick.
    • 34' Free-kick to Everton on the left. Baines swings it in, ahead of Fellaini BUT HEITINGA ON THE TURN but he fires it weakly at Al-Habsi!
    • 34' Say what you like about Wigan but at least they have good undersoil heating - more than can be said for Stoke, apparently. Follow that snowstorm here!
    • 33' Figueroa with a nice ball wide to Beausejour but a touch too quick for him this time
    • 32' Pienaar gives it away, Figueroa plays a cracking ball wide to Beasejour, great deep cross that Di Santo heads down for Moses but he mis-kicks the ball, not expecting it, and Everton clear!
    • 31' Wigan counter and Moses on the right is slide-tackled by Fellaini. Moses wanted the pass earlier to show his pace inside the Belgian.
    • 30' Donovan to take the corner from the left, swinging it in... brilliant ball and Heitinga can head in but he pops it flat to the ground; half-cleared by McCarthur and PIENAAR but he blasts it over, turning away in disgust.
    • 29' Baines finds Pienaar but Moses is tracking back to stop the one-two with Baines.
    • 28' Gomez and Figueroa over this one, Caldwell involved too but not sure why.... Taking their time on both sides but Gomez sends it well over.
    • 27' Foul on the edge of the D as Heitinga takes down Di Santo. The Dutchman is furious as he feels he was backed into.
    • 26' Hibbert does well to recover after losing out to Beausejour. Throw to Wigan.
    • 25' Boyce goes through the back of Stracqualursi and Everton have a free-kick on halfway. Long towards Fellaini but Wigan clear to touch.
    • 24' Free-kiick to Everton that Donovan swings in, the clearance lands for GIBSON but this time he misses the kick. Ho ho.
    • 23' Gomez puts in the corner but Howard gathers easily.
    • 22' Moses wide right does well to win a corner. Good stuff from Wigan, but their weakness as we all know is in defence.
    • 21' The long ball came from Figueroa and Distin recovered well to put him off in the end. Chance for Wigan though!!
    • 20' Di Santo gets in behind Distin but Howard bats away his finish! A long ball caught Distin out, uncharacteristically, but Howard spared him.
    • 19' Strong tackle by Caldwell allows McCarthy to bring it clear, Gomez with an angled cross for Di Santo but Distin clears.
    • 18' Wigan have their tails up now as they hold on to possession with Everton on the back foot.
    • 17' Beausejour with a super run down the left, one-two with McCarthur and in behind Hibbert but he can't find Di Santo with the low cross, Heitinga hacking clear.
    • 16' Wigan doing all right again now as they put some pressure on the visiting defence.
    • 14' I don't know if he'll come on today but I'm looking forward to seeing Jelavic at this level. And to the person who asked if he'll play alongside Saha, no - unless he's sold to Spurs in the summer.
    • 13' Good move from Everton as Donovan finds Stracqualursi with a neat little pass but the Argentine finds it tough to dig out a shot, prodding it at Al-Habsi. First save of the game.
    • 12' Free-kick to Everton now as Stam fouls Pienaar. Scrappy start this is.
    • 10' Boyce goes through the back of Cahill and Everton have a free-kick.
    • 9' Late tackle by Moses on Distin but he gets away with it.
    • 8' The initial corner is cleared; Beausejour puts it back in but Howard flies through the bodies to punch away to safety. After a shaky start Wigan are doing quite well; a lot of empty seats though.
    • 7' Donovan clears but only to Beasejour, he crosses but cleared; back to the Chilean, who feeds Gomez but his low cross is hacked behind by Distin.
    • 6' Good defensive header from Heitinga. Martinez showed a nice first touch earlier after the ball landed out of play.
    • 5' Everton break and Stracqualursi could be in but the flag is up for offside.
    • 4' Foul throw by McCarthur. Oops.
    • 3' Wigan do get forward, Stam taking on Pienaar but unable to get past ex-Wigan man Baines.
    • 2' Wigan start by giving the ball away a couple of times.
    • 1' The first half is underway!

    • 14:50 Everton won 3-1 at Goodison Park when the teams last met in the Premier League in September. Everton have scored more than one goal in a Premier League game four times in 19 matches since then. Match report from that day
    • 14:45 So Everton's big money signing Nikica Jelavic is on the bench today, with Stracqualursi preferred up front instead, supported by Cahill. But another deadline day deal does feature - old boy Pienaar slots straight back into the midfield. For Wigan, the January arrival Beausejour starts, while Rodallega is available to come on from the bench.
    • 14:40 WIGAN: Al Habsi, Stam, Boyce, Caldwell, Figueroa, Beausejour, McCarthy, McArthur, Gomez, Moses, Di Santo - Subs: Pollitt, Alcaraz, Crusat, Watson, Jones, Rodallega, Diame /// EVERTON: Howard, Hibbert, Heitinga, Distin, Baines, Pienaar, Fellaini, Gibson, Donovan, Cahill, Stracqualursi - Subs: Mucha, Jelavic, Drenthe, Neville, Gueye, Anichebe, Duffy
    • 14:35 DAVID MOYES: "It is long time since I have been able to talk positively. Nearly every question I've had has been of a negative nature about what is happening off the pitch or results. But the players certainly gave the fans something to shout about in midweek and the performance against Manchester City was great - we've not had many days like that recently." Everton club page
    • 14:30 ROBERTO MARTINEZ: "It's not where we are in the table now, it's where we're going to finish in May and what we do know is what we've been through in the last two seasons is not a position we want to be in. We all understand that we want to progress as a football club and get into a position where we can be an established Premier League team, but we're in a situation we have to get out of. We've got 15 opportunities to get as many points as we can and there's nothing else we can do." Wigan club page
    • 14:25 One game in progress already in the Premier League - and it's seen seven goals in 64 minutes. Keep up with Arsenal v Blackburn here
    • 14:20 Wigan in desperate need of some points today - they're three points adrift at the foot of the table, but could go level with Blackburn and Wolves if results go their way. They've got their work cut out against a buoyant Everton, however. Latest standings

  1. @ Fowler legend. Having to name yourself after somebody who has achieved success is bad enough, but coming onto another club's pages to make a derogatory comment is very sad. You are obviously a massive failure in your own life.
