Theo Walcott struck three times as Arsenal beat Newcastle 7-3 in a chaotic and exciting Premier League clash at the Emirates. More

90+6' FULL TIME: Arsenal win - Arsenal deserved to win - but that was bonkers. Great fun at the Emirates to finish the day in the Premier League.
90+5' ARSENAL HIT THE WOODWORK! Could have been a hat-trick for Giroud - should have been in fact, but he thumps the bar from close range.
90+1' YES THERE IS! WALCOTT TREBLE! There were appeals for a penalty there as Walcott tries to dance through from the touchline - that's not given but it doesn't matter as Walcott simply gets up, carries on, and finishes with a delicate finish from an angle. Newcastle's defence shambolic.
90' Wilshere's touch on to Giroud just a bit too light to reach, or the Frenchman might have been in for a quickfire hat-trick. He's then floored at the corner by Santon - yellow card.
88' The final Newcastle switch - Tavernier on for Marveaux. The wind finally out of Newcastle's sails.
87' GIROUD AGAIN! TWO IN THREE MINUTES AND ARSENAL HAVE A SIXTH! The game is going to end with Arsenal winning by a huge margin, as Giroud played in by Walcott and slides a ball low beyond Krul.
86' Cazorla off in Arsenal's final change - on comes Coquelin.
85' GOAL! ARSENAL STRETCH THEIR LEAD! Newcastle leaves gaps as they search for a winner - Ramsey whips a superb cross into Giroud, who nods in. Is this one finally settled?
84' A change for Newcastle - Ferguson replaces Simpson.
83' WALCOTT SO CLOSE! Teases his way left and right to fashion the space, then sees his shot deflect only just beyond the far post.
82' And for Arsenal it's Podolski off, Ramsey on.
81' Change for both sides, in fact - the first is Newcastle - Bigirimana off, Ameobi on.
74' Here's the change - Arsenal bring Giroud on for Walcott.
73' GOAL! WALCOTT PUTS ARSENAL BACK IN FRONT... AGAIN! Gibbs cuts through the defence down the left - it looks for a moment as if the chance will go begging, don't ask me how it goes through Podolski's legs - but Walcott holds his nerve to finish.
69' GOAL! IT'S NEWCASTLE AGAIN! Marveaux outstanding! Outside of the boot for his cross after the run, picking out the man at the far post, finished by Ba. Amazing match.
64' ARSENAL LEAD AGAIN! PODOLSKI! It's made by Wilshere, who skims into the box and to the line, chipping a cross to the edge of the area - Podolski and Coloccini go for the ball, and it's Podolski who bundles it over. Game on!
62' CLOSE! No telling which way this game is going to end up - Cazorla feeds Podolski and that very nearly leds to the third.
59' GOAL! NEWCASTLE LEVEL AGAIN! It's Obertan down the left with the cross, the ball takes a deflection straight to Marveaux at the far post, who only has to tap in.
51' GOAL! OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN PUTS ARSENAL BACK IN FRONT! A terrible, sloppy throw from Simpson, and it breaks to Arsenal. Cazorla strokes it across goal, the Ox buries the finish low into the corner from just outside the area. Some finish.
47' GIBBS CLOSE! Wilshere and Podolski helped the ball across to Gibbs on the overlap - his shot is smothered. Has to go down as a good chance.
46' The second half begins!

45+1' MARVEAUX CLOSE! Hit from distance, parried away by Szczesny. Arsenal did all the hard work, got in front, and have slowly given it away. Ba nods over from the resulting corner.
44' GOAL! BA LEVELS IT! It takes a vicious deflection off Wilshere and outfoxes Szczesny. Not Wilshere's brightest moment, ducking out of the way of the ball. Should he have just worn it? Should he even have been stood on his own like that in hte first place?
39' TIOTE! What a hit from the Ivorian - he scored a thunderous equaliser last season against Arsenal and he stung Szczesny's palms here from all of 30 yards.
37' WALCOTT! CLOSE! He does well to skip through a challenge, but just can't get enough behind his finish from the left, allowing Krul to recover.
20' WALCOTT SCORES! A goal just like Henry used to score here - drifting down the left and into space, then coming in on the angle and passing the ball into the far corner. Top finish.
1' Away we go at the Emirates!

Go #$%$ yourself, m8! Aliegency and honor is worth more than throphies!
Would the score line be the same against Newcastle had we not cancelled the West Ham game, which gave us opportunity to rest our players this time of the season when clubs play 2 or 3 times a week, considering Newcastle played Man U three days earlier ? We scored 4 goals in the last 20minutes of the game, by then Newcastle players were ragged. Just being realistic.
Where are all those doubters now of The proff and The Arsenal? Let me remind you all, they are jousting for top four the same as always, but that's not a surprise to anyone, is it? They always are.
maybe premier league footballs a bit much for the wee club from the northeast..
It was great to win so handsomely. But it actually highlighted some Wenger crass errors. Like his obstinate refusal to play Walcott (or at least try him) as central striker a long time ago ! And like his yearning for converting wingers to full back is .... Gibbs is a good footballer but NO DEFENDER !! A bit like Arshavin and / or Vela to left wing ... Denilson to defensive midfield .. Eboue to right wing .... Chamkh to bench 2 years ago - after he began so well !
i see the plumstead gooners are getting excited again.............if you get any points from you're next 3 league games then maybe but your still very leaky at the rear!!!
