Mikel Arteta's late strike saved Arsenal from a third goalless performance in a row as they beat QPR 1-0 in the Premier League. More
90+6' There's the final whistle! It was a slog, but Arsenal got there in the end, scoring their first goal in 270 minutes. 'Crisis' over at the Emirates. Until next week...
90+3' QPR free-kick right on the left corner of the box, Granero to take.... Mannone tips it wide to the left. It clipped the outside of the net on the way through, bringing mistaken goal celebrations from the visiting fans.
90+2' What a run by Mackie! He runs directly at goal, beating three players, but Mannone saves from close range! Suddenly QPR are all over the Gunners.
90' Chance for Granero!! Taarabt finds him with a brilliant through ball, but he slips as he shoots and drags it wide of Mannone's goal.
89' Another fine save from Julio Cesar, this time from Santi Cazorla! What a second half the QPR keeper has had.
87' Another good save from Julio Cesar, diving low to his right to push away Ramsey's powerful strike.
84' GOAL!! At last for Arsenal! Arshavin's cross is headed goalwards by Giroud, Julio Cesar saves, Arteta heads against the bar then slams home the rebound from close range! Bizarre goal, but Arsenal will take it!
83' In amongst all that, Arshavin came on for the injured Gervinho.
82' WHAT A SAVE JULIO CESAR!! An Arsenal corner ricochets around the box - an attempted clearance hits Onuoha and spins towards the corner, but Julio Cesar makes a brilliant reflex save!
80' RED CARD!! Madness from Stephane Mbia!! He is fouled by Vermaelen, is awarded the free-kick, but then lashes out while on the ground, kicking Vermaelen! An obvious red, utter stupidity from the QPR man.
79' QPR change: Shaun Wright-Phillips trots off, and is replaced by Jamie Mackie.
78' WHAT A CHANCE FOR CAZORLA!! Walcott's superb ball in from the right is partially cleared by Mbia, but only as far as Cazorla who lashes the ball over from 10 yards. That was a gift.
74' Changes for QPR: Djibril Cisse and Nedum Onuoha on for Bobby Zamora and Armand Traore.
71' Podolski is the man to make way for Gervinho. Not his best game, but still surprising to see him go off.
67' Off goes Wilshere to a tremendous ovation, and he is replaced by Theo Walcott. Which, I would suggest, makes Arsenal easier for their own fans to boo.
62' Giroud has been booked, Traore limps off the pitch and we continue.
55' Finally Granero is booked for another clumsy challenge on Wilshere. And the free-kick is within shooting range.
54' QPR have the ball in the net but it won't count! Lovely football - Granero scoops the ball over the top for Hoilett who lifts it over Mannone, but the forward is rightly flagged offside.
51' The free-kick is swung into the box for Mertesacker whose glancing header is pushed away by Julio Cesar! Good save!
49' Oh lord, Wilshere is down. He got a kick on the top of the left foot from Granero... he's back on his feet and looks like he will be OK. But nervous moment here.
46' QPR kick off the second half. No personnel changes from either side.
45' The half-time whistle blows, and there is a small smattering of jeers as Arsenal go off. I suspect if Wilshere were not playing the boos might have been louder. Still no goal for the Gunners. Back in a few minutes.
45' Patient build-up from Arsenal - Wilshere wide for Santos on the left, and the Brazilian cuts inside to fire a low right-foot shot. Julio Cesar holds on and he has to, with Giroud lurking to poach any rebound.
29' Giroud has a crack from a tight angle on the left. Julio Cesar cannot hold it again, but again he scrambles to gather the ball at the second attempt.
10' Crossbar! Sagna delivers a gorgeous cross from the right, Ramsey gets a glancing header on it and the ball clips the top of the bar on its way over!
1' Off we go! Arsenal kick off, playing from left to right as we see it. Both sides playing in their home kit.

all i can say is gunners win by an offside goal again. the linesman must have been blind
honestly, jack wilshere is a very special player the movement, dribbling, and his vision is very excellent that is my first live i see wilshere play. bright future for him #from chelsea fans#
how long will it take until these so called strickers score regularly
Not much to say only since Hughes arrived we have been red- carded the most in our History and that butcher mentality makes me sick. Its not the way QPR play so it must have arrived with him.We have lost countless points by careless stupid sending offs and another display ruined today .We should have grabbed a draw anyway but our lack of confidence is shocking and its time to get new Leadership in to regain order and move us up the table now
This forum getting worse and worse. it's 5.30, and it states "no comments yet" #$%$ forum!
wenger. to stingy that he wont buy quality medicines to cure a terminal cancer!
It's been tough for Arsenal all this while even to concede a goal. Had it not be a LUCKY goal, another draw. very pathetic for arsenal. You guys should act fast to grab yourself a HOT striker. Otherwise you live in this HOPE FOR A DRAW games.
Anton and QPR are going down please sign Rio then you can all go down together
Sack the incompetent so-called Manager Mark Hughes immediately to save QPR from relegation! The club owner is a fool to support Hughes.
Jammy Gooners!
although it is just a goal but better than none.good job gunners!!!!!!!
Better try and sign brother Rio then all can go down together
Bye Bye Anton you and your filthy team are sinking fast
arsenal could do with cesar themselves, this coming from a man whose team have four hot goal keepers just 2 miles down the road, hehehe , just a tip and a hint goners :) cccccccccooooooooooyyyyyyyyyyyyyysssssssssss :D
The season is going to be long for us. We won by luck today. Arteta was slightly off side. QPR goal keeper was excellent today. Gunners for life
Nice to see 'Old Sparky' still weaving his managerial magic! A quarter of the season now gone and QPR have amassed 3 points - at this rate they might get to double figures by next May! Still, not to worry, he said: "he's there for the long haul" so, having completely restructured the team, the chances are they will be setting a new league record - and QPR deserve all they get for employing this half-wit! What chance him being unemployed again on Monday?
