    • 63' An offside flag goes up against Michu seconds after Dyer failed to get a shot at goal when he should have uncorked one.
    • 62' Rangel bounds up the park. Slams the shot at the home goal, but Szczesny dives to his left to make a fine save. First time Swansea have showed up in this half.
    • 61' Tremmel comes up with the goods again to make the stop from a shot by Cazorla. Arsenal dominant in possession, but yet to achieve anything tangible.
    • 60' Walcott with a much better corner, but Tremmel is off his line to punch clear the danger.
    • 59' Cazorla takes a tumble in the box, but that is a clear dive. Should have been booked for trying to win a penalty there.
    • 58' if Arsenal draw 0-0 today it will already be their most goalless draws in a single season since 2008-09 - when they had five.
    • 57' Walcott's corner is poor as Rangel just clears the danger with little or no worries.
    • 56' Gibbs knocks the ball off Britton as Arsenal earn themselves a corner.
    • 55' Rangel picks out Shechter, whose effort deflects wide of goal. Swansea continue to look dangerous on the attack.
    • 54' Arsenal have already drawn 0-0 in three Premier League matches this season – equal-most goalless with Sunderland, Stoke and Chelsea.
    • 53' Ben Davies wallops the ball long from Cazorla's header down. No nonsense stuff by the Swansea defender.
    • 52' Wilshere slips the ball to Jenkinson. Arsenal patient in trying to find a way through these white shirts. Which is easier said than done.
    • 51' Arsenal attempting to apply more pressure to this Swansea side. An urgency is apparent that wasn't there in the first period.
    • 50' Gervinho clatters Chico on the edge of the visiting box. Looking for a foul there, but nothing doing.
    • 49' Wilshere hangs up a ball to the back post. No real direction on the cross as Arteta collects. But the move breaks down when Arteta fouls Shechter.
    • 48' Much better from the home side as Wilshere picks out Cazorla who drives the ball at goal. Comfortable enough stop by Tremmel.
    • 47' Arsenal keeping possession here without moving forward. Surely have to be a bit more direct in this half.
    • 46' The second half is underway at the Emirates.
    • 45' Not going to be any stoppage time! 0-0 at the break. A few boos from the home fans. Not a huge surprise.
    • 44' Ben Davies needing a spot of treatment as we head for stoppage time.
    • 43' Chance for Gervinho, but he can't direct the ball at goal with a free header. Real chance for Arsenal.
    • 42' Offside flag is raised against Michu, but Swansea will have no problem in heading for 0-0 at the break. Not exactly hanging on here.
    • 41' Arsenal have little purpose when they win the ball as Jenkinson picks out Britton with another misplaced pass.
    • 40' Wenger cutting a concerned figure in the home technical area. This is almost like a library. Little or no noise from the home fans.
    • 39' Williams stabs the ball away from Jenkinson before Michu is felled seconds later by Cazorla.

    • 35' Michu bundled to the deck by Arteta and Swansea have a free-kick right on the edge of the home area.
    • 34' Tremmel has yet to make a save of any note in the Swansea goal. Which says it all really.
    • 33' Walcott just fails to pick out Podolski in the Swansea area. No turn and shot from the German forward. No goals as yet.
    • 32' A bit of a subdued atmosphere in the Emirates today. Can almost smell the mood of frustration among the home crowd at the moment.
    • 31' Ki slips the ball straight to Walcott. Poor play by the South Korean, but the visiting side are quick to retrieve possession.
    • 30' Swansea producing some lovely stuff. Little wonder Steve Clarke, the West Brom manager, was raving about them the other night.
    • 29' Dyer looked certain to net his fifth goal of the campaign. Per Mertesacker too slow in trying to win a header above Michu.
    • 28' Glorious chance for Dyer as he dashed through the middle, but he lifts the shot over. Great recovery block by Thomas Vermaelen. Should have been the lead. Brilliant header on by Michu.
    • 27' Jenkinson picks out Cazorla in the middle, but the lack of pace in the header enables Tremmel to make a comfortable stop.
    • 26' Podolski tries to play in Gervinho, but Tremmel shows his alertness to comes off his line and collect the loose ball.
    • 25' Cazorla wins the ball from Ki in the middle of the park. The moves ends with several white shirts blocking the shot of Podolski.
    • 24' Jenkinson gets back to make sure Etey Shechter doesn't have a free run at goal. Walcott losing possession in the middle of the park.
    • 23' Much better by Jenkinson from the other flank. Fine cross but Williams comes up with another superb clearance when it was needed most. At last some pace by Arsenal.
    • 22' Gervinho on the run before Williams heads clear from another hopeful cross. No real direction on that.
    • 21' Ki throws over the free-kick. Lacks the required height as Arteta smashes the clearance away from his own area.
    • 20' Gibbs with a late one on Dyer and the visiting side have a free-kick midway inside the Arsenal half.
    • 19' Theo Walcott looking for Jenkinson with a ball down the channel, but overhits the pass by some margin. Swansea back in possession.
    • 18' Dyer races onto a clever pass from Michu, but Thomas Vermaelen is forced to make the interception.
    • 17' Swansea continue to be patient. Letting the ball doing the talking. Not sure who is the home side so far.
    • 16' A win here could see Arsenal move into fourth place in the table, but no real urgency out there so far.
    • 15' Arsene Wenger has been pacing the line constantly. Little wonder with his side doing little of note so far.
    • 14' Ki showing some lovely skills to keep the ball away from Arteta. Attempts to pick out Dyer on the run, but just overcooks the pass from deep.
    • 13' This home defence is looking far from happy about what is going on. Swansea enjoying their day out so far.
    • 12' Two chances for Rangel, but Wojciech Szczesny is equal to the task in making two decent stops. Lovely stuff from Swansea to cut open Arsenal.
    • 11' Michael Laudrup cutting a content figure in the technical area. Swansea can knock it about with the best of them.
    • 10' Gervinho throws over a corner-kick, but all too easy for Gerhard Tremmel as he comes off his line to collect with some ease.
    • 9' Gervinho takes up a menacing position in the visiting box, but the cross is cut out by Davies.
    • 8' Jenkinson trying to support his side going forward, but Arsenal yet to cut through this visiting team who are on a high after the 3-1 win over West Brom in midweek.
    • 7' Only one Spaniard in Premier League history has reached double figures in a Premier League season before New Year – Torres scoring 12 goals for Liverpool from August to December 2009. Michu already on eight.
    • 6' Etey Shechter caught offside seconds later. Swansea must feel they can get at this home defence which is not overly convincing, it must be said.
    • 5' Glorious chance for Williams to hand Swansea the lead. Confusion in the defence, but he can't connect with Jenkinsin back to scramble clear. The Welsh side on the attack early on.
    • 4' Thomas Vermaelen comes up with a terrific tackle on Etey Shechter. Had to make that tackle as the last man back in defence.
    • 3' Davies taking no chances as he rolls the ball back to Tremmel in the visiting goal. Swansea with plenty of bodies back here early on. Which is understandable.
    • 2' A busy month of December coming up for Arsenal with four games this month at the Emirates.
    • 1' We are off and running at the Emirates. This should be an interesting match between two sides of real passing ability.
    • 14:55 Referee, leader, legend - that's right, today's man in black is Mark Clattenburg, a man who needs little introduction.
    • 14:50 FORM! Theo Walcott has scored nine goals in his last 11 matches in all competitions for Arsenal; Michu has scored a league high four headed goals from just six headers on target this season.
    • 14:45 FACTS: Arsenal and Swansea have met six times in the league, with both sides winning three times each. Arsenal have won just three of their last nine Premier League home games (W3 D4 L2) and two of those have been when the opposition have been reduced to 10 men. Swansea have won just two of their last 10 Premier League away games (W2 D2 L6).
    • 14:40 Michael Laudrup: "Arsenal are a very good side, with great players who like to play on the ball. They also have a manager in Arsene Wenger that has been there for 16 years and done wonderful things for the club. But we go there with no pressure and can surprise people. We have picked up four points this week which has been a very good return for us."
    • 14:35 Arsene Wenger: “Of course, Brendan Rodgers has made the basis of what the club is today and Michael Laudrup has added some players he knew from Spain who are very good additions. They have Michu, Pablo Hernandez, de Guzman. And by keeping Britton, Rangel and the players at the back they are a dangerous side throughout, and having a good season. They are a complete unit, very creative, very technical and very mobile.”
    • 14:30 Two big blows for Swansea as in-form wingers Pablo and Wayne Routledge are out with injuries picked up in their star turns against West Brom. Pablo has a thigh problem, with Routledge an ankle knock. Jonathan De Guzman and Itay Shechter start instead, with Danny Graham still recovering from a mystery virus.
    • 14:25 Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna misses out with of a foot injury, although he was at fault for Everton’s equaliser in midweek. Carl Jenkinson starts. Forwards Theo Walcott (ankle) and Lukas Podolski (virus) are cleared to start, with Walcott apparently getting his favoured central role with Olivier Giroud dropped to the bench. We’ll see how they shape up though as Gervinho is in too. Defender Laurent Koscielny (thigh), full-back Andre Santos (stomach) and midfielder Abou Diaby (thigh) are out.
    • 14:20 TEAMS - Arsenal: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla, Walcott, Podolski, Gervinho; Subs: Mannone, Squillaci, Coquelin, Ramsey, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud /// Swansea: Tremmel, Rangel, Williams, Chico, Davies, Britton, de Guzman, Ki, Dyer, Michu, Shechter; Subs: Cornell, Monk, Tiendalli, Agustien, Richards, Moore, Donnelly

  1. Arsenal have the money available for new players. The truth is Wenger has put too much faith in the players he already has. I am sure that Arsenal will buy some quality players in the January window, but it won't save them from another season without honours. Tottenham have bought a number of new players and look at the difference between the two clubs. Still, if Wenger gets his buying hat on, he could turn things around and I'm sure he will. That said, let's wish Arsenal's chairman a speedy recovery from his recent heart attack. A north London rival...

  2. It is not Wenger's fault, if the greedy board dont give him money to buy decent players,he'll have to do with Jenkins , Gibb , Chamack and so on.

  3. need to get diaby back or sign a defensive/holding MF player

  8. Arsenal sucks

  9. Wenger, do the right thing and leave at the end of the season! When you came to Arsenal you were incredibly fortunate to have the strongest back 5 in English football, and you had Dennis Bergkamp. It is with all or some of these players that you won most of your trophies. The last 7 seasons (where the team has been 100% players you have bought) has been a story of decline. We put up with paying the highest prices in the PL and not winning trophies, because we watched the most attractive football in the PL. But the football Arsenal has played in the last 3 seasons has been awful to watch. Not a single player has proven they have the flair or ability to regularly entertain, and certainly the team is incapable of winning anything (they even lost to Birmingham in the League Cup final). How many current Arsenal players would be guaranteed to make the 1st XI every week of any top 3 club in Spain, Italy or England? Why do you keep buying low cost players who have never proved they can play in the PL (Santos, Podolski, Giroud, Gervinho, Mertesacker etc). The only decent buys you have made recently iare Arteta (PL proven) and Cazorla (not low cost for non-PL, and he looks like he realises he has made a mistake joining Arsenal and won't be here next season). Wenger the longest experiment in football history has failed, it has been shown to be just hype when you have use all your own selected players. It is time for you to plan you leaving party.

  11. Lets be honest, Swansea totally outplayed Arsenal. Another show of class football after the West Brom hammering. Arsenal better bring back Bob Wilson and Charlie George out of retirement.! Haha

From steve, on Sun 2 Dec 4:22
  12. I think you're right David. Wenger still never renew or extend his contract since offered by board. He may wants to get commitment from the board for the team. Arsenal FC is no debt club, good business model, but 'the money can't play in the pitch and the player do' like Wenger told them. After all the profit which the club gaining is from football (Arsenal team) and its related sale. So the profit must invest back to the football. No matter how great businessmen the board are, how to get profit if never invest? How to do the sell if never buy? This is the simple business theory which everyone learn since school age.

From Pillai, on Sun 2 Dec 4:15
  13. Past years we're leaking so many goals but we fight to score. No matter we are worst in defends no clean #$%$ but we still can be top 4 because we can score to win back. Now MU doing the same way like us before and there are in TOP. We are no more attacking team in EPL. Whats wrong? Is it Steve Build concerns is only defend? How to win if never score? Arsenal trademark in the world is attacking football. Attack and attack and going forward. World football fan no matter what team the support like to watch Barcelona and Arsenal game. Why? its good passing, going forward and attack. Again collect the ball going forward and attack, No worry if leaks in counter attack or by mistake, still can score to overcome it by scoring. How many will watch if its boring game, some more its late night (1100pm and 130am) for day time game and early mor ( 245am and 345am till 445am 545am) in Asia.

  15. I don't thimk its all wenger's fault. Yes with the players he's bought but it's greedy grazidis who says there's money to spend but everytime wenger spends it seems that he has to sell to make the money back. Wenger says walcott won't be sold in jan but i bet the board will force him to sell as they don't want to lose out on any money and wenger will get the blame. Also I don't understand why he won't change the system. Clearly 4-3-3 its not working and when podolski plays out left its like playing with 10 men, 9 men when ramsey plays aswell and The defenders don't trust each other. Hopefully we only have to put up with this for 1 more season as i don't think wenger will renew his contract cuz i think he's had enough and we take the france job. Its gonna be strange not being in the champions league next season

  17. Let me see -the last time Arsenal were as bad as this at this stage of the season was under George Graham - followed by a 12th place finish under Rioch. The incoming manager established top four finishes thereon -who was that? Oh yes Wenger- He is struggling at the moment as a result of the stadium etc but give him a bit of respect and time to sort things out with a loosening of the purse strings. You have to balance your books unless you gamble like Leeds
