Demba Ba eased the pressure on Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez with a 1-0 Premier League victory over West Brom at Stamford Bridge. More
90+4' Chelsea change: Mikel on, Mata off.
90' CHELSEA CLOSE! Moses low centre is overhit, however, so Torres cannot control it, and nor can Lampard barrel the ball home from range.
87' HERE COMES TORRES: He replaces Ba, who's had a quieter second half than he did in the first.
85' Yellow for Odemwingie, who fouls Cech. But it's all WBA in these dying minutes. The jitters at Stamford Bridge have returned.
84' AZPILICUETA ALMOST PUTS IT INTO HIS OWN NET! The corner is good and under pressure from long the Spaniard nods goalwards. Cech made another good stop!
83' ODEMWINGIE CLOSE! Lovely hit from the free kick - Cech has to tip it over the bar! What a story that would have been!
82' Mata gives away a foul, tapping the back of Odemwingie's heels. WBA make an aggressive change: Rosenberg on for Yacob.
80' Chelsea change: Hazard replaced by Moses.
78' OSCAR! Azpilicueta whipped the cross in from deep, Ba nodded down for his Brazilian team-mate, and once again he should have scored. Foster did well to deny him from 10 yards.
71' WBA change: Dorrans off, Thomas on.
64' Hazard runs around the outside of Reid, and gets to the byline at pace, winning a free kick on the edge of the area. Yellow for McAuley, who was chasing a shadow.
62' WBA change: Peter Odemwingie is on! Fortune off. Looks like applause from the West Brom fans for the man who drove to QPR on deadline day in the hope of forcing a move.
60' Hazard goes down in the area under pressure from Olsson. The penalty appeals go up at Stamford Bridge, but there's no spot kick forthcoming. Replays show it would have been farily soft.
56' Hazard into the book for another late challenge on Ridgewell. Those two have tangled a few times today.
55' BA CLOSE! Just needed one more touch and Foster, rushing out of goal, denied him it and scrambles the ball away.
50' LAMPARD HAS THE BALL IN THE NET! BUT IT'S OFFSIDE! Mata had strayed too far forward for the chipped through ball, and although Lampard was fine it was Mata who laid the ball off for him.
46' Chelsea begin the second half, and Ramires is fit enough to continue on after the interval.

45+1' HALF TIME: A good half of football for Chelsea, with minimal anti-Benitez chanting. There were a few 'Interim manager, you know what you ares...', but the team did the job on the pitch.
40' AZPILICUETA CLOSE! AND OSCAR BEFORE! Both have efforts blocked as the Blues pile forward. The Spaniard in particular will be frustrated not to have buried his chance from around the penalty spot.
38' OSCAR! What a goal that would have been - he peeled off at the edge of the area and Mata picked him out with his corner. Oscar side-footed the ball and it was goalbound, but blocked before it could trouble the keeper.
30' MATA CLOSE! He just keeps on coming, winning the ball back after his first effort is blocked by Olsson, and drilling a low shot into the side netting from 20 yards. Chelsea looking sharp at the moment.
28' BA! 1-0 CHELSEA! Oscar drifts a cross to the far post - Luiz is there to nod back across goal, and Ba tucks it in. Chelsea have deserved that.
27' LUIZ CLOSE! Good hit, benefiting from a slight deflection off the wall, and tipped around the corner by Foster.
16' OSCAR CLOSE! Again he's the man given the chance to finish after Mata's pinpoint cross, but his header was straight at Foster. There was a suspicion of offside by the flag never came.
7' REID! Good hit from distance from the free kick. It swerved a bit, but in the end it was too straight and Cech could parry over. But a corner for the visitors gives them a foothold.
5' MATA! Oscar tees him up so deftly with a backwards flick on the volley, but the Spaniard drags it across the goal to the far post.
4' OSCAR! SHOULD HAVE SCORED! Ba was the provider, with a super low cross on the right, and Oscar, from six yards out, should have applied a finish. Foster did well to force a corner
1' Away we go at Stamford Bridge!

The problem with Chelsea is Abramovich- he doesn't know a good manager when he sees one! Look at what AVB is doing quietly at Spurs RDM Chelsea legend sent packing after a few poor results, Grant gets to Champions League final and loses on penalties and is sacked? I feel for the Chelsea fans having to suffer these changes- new managers have new ideas and the team has to adapt- whereas if they kept tyhe same manager who kept to his principles over time the team will flourish. Roman obviously has too much money- perhaps he could help the fans out by lowering ticket prices instead of paying off managers contracts! By the way I am an LFC fan who loves Rafa but feel he has been offered the job by Mr Abramovich as there was no one else available- he seems to have thought about a new manager after sacking RDM and with Pep Guardiola not available had to look elsewhere.
yep, n1 Rafa u #$%$ Ba scores, so u take him off and replace him with Torres! u useless piece of #$%$ #RafanTorresOOT
