Arsenal ended their goal scoring duck in impressive fashion as they outclassed Liverpool to secure an impressive 2-0 win at Anfield. More
FT And there is the final whistle - impressive win for Arsenal.
90+1 Shelvey booked for a foul on Ramsey.
90' Koscielny on for Vermaelen
89' Shelvey with another powerful shot that is heading for the top corner but Mannone makes a great save. Shelvey has made an impact since coming on.
87' Suarez fires over from close range after being played in by Gerrard – Suarez had Vermaelen right on him though which probably made the difference.
85' Shelvey fires a good low shot on target after working himself some space impressively. Mannone saves it but it looks like the ball is going to drop to Gerrard only for Vermaelen to get in and nick the ball.
84' Giroud now heads wide from the corner - decent chance. You get the impression the goals will flow for the Frenchman once he gets one.
72' Oxlade-Chamberlain has picked up a little bit of a knock and Aaron Ramsey is coming on for him.
69' Great passing again from Arsenal for the goal and Cazorla then played a 1-2 with Podolski which saw Cazorla free inside the left side of the box. He fired a powerful shot but while Reina got down to save it he let it slip under him and in at near post.
68' GOAL FOR ARSENAL!!! It is Santi Cazorla but Pepe Reina should have saved it.
67' Sahin's quiet debut comes to an end with Jonjo Shelvey coming on. The game passed by Sahin to be honest but he will come good when he gets used to the pace of the Premier League
66' Cazorla with a decent left-foot strike from outside the area – aims for the bottom corner but goes just wide.
60' Jenkinson cuts in from the right and fires a decent left-foot shot that Reina has to get down to save. Liverpool attacking as much as Arsenal but the Gunners looking sharper in the final third.
54' Liverpool making a change – Stewart Downing on for the unconvincing Fabio Borini.
52' Reina has to make a good save from a Gibbs shot – wonderful move from Arsenal who shifted the ball from right to left to feed the full-back.
51' PENALTY SHOUT FOR LIVERPOOL – Gerrard puts a ball into the box but Suarez is down after being 'handled' by Mertesacker. Suarez had a case there but did go down very easy too. Bit of a boy who cried wolf element to that you feel.
47' Skrtel is booked for sliding into the back of Diaby.
46' Back underway - no changes from either side.
HT And there is the half-time whistle – Arsenal have finally got on the scoresheet this season and they are in front. A disjointed performance from Liverpool so far – they need to improve, especially in the middle of the park.
41' TERRIBLE MISS FROM GIROUD – Diaby with a spectacular run forward and a lovely pass into the French striker but he made a hash of the effort as he fired wide. Podolski shouts at Giroud for the miss. Giroud clearly low on confidence – it was a similar miss to the one against Sunderland.
39' OFF THE POST FROM STERLING – okay it was the outside of the post but still. He spun in the box well to give himself the opportunity to shoot…all came after Borini did well to keep the ball in play and loop up a volleyed cross that Arsenal could not clear.
31' It was a superb counter attack from Arsenal and came after Steven Gerrard gave the ball away. Santi Cazorla dribbled forward with the ball and Giroud made a good dummy run allowing Cazorla to slip in the German who produced a cool low finish past Reina.
30' GOAL FOR ARSENAL!!!! They have their first goal of the season. And it is a first Arsenal goal for Podolski.
26' Mertesacker gives the ball away poorly and Sterling runs forward. Areta takes one for the team and fouls him. He is booked and Liverpool have another chance with a free-kick from 30 yards out – central position.
13' Gerrard whips in a beautiful corner but Agger just can't quite get on the end of it. Really flashed across the goal though – it was begging for a touch.
6' Suarez glides past Mertesacker and the German pulls him back. He is booked. This is the sort of range where Suarez scored against City.
89' Shelvey with another powerful shot that is heading for the top corner but Mannone makes a great save. Shelvey has made an impact since coming on.
87' Suarez fires over from close range after being played in by Gerrard – Suarez had Vermaelen right on him though which probably made the difference.

Rodgers hasnt a clue! Has the Pool too slow in the build up,pass backs, crossfield, the other team has everyone back before they get over the halfway line,!! Then he loans plan B out(Carroll), without getting a replacement, wrong man for the job methinks!
i am a Arsenal fan totally have been for 50 years, iwatch as many teas play as i can and appreciate good football. Why can supporters only remember when they are winning,we as Arsenal supporters should remember the stick we've had through the years and thank god we have a manager that loves the game and loves our team.He also tries to make it a business so the club can make a profit and pay for stadium. Liverpool on the other hand have had managers in the last 15 years that are not that assertive, they have spent lots of money on the wrong players.Idon't believe Kenny Dalglish is a good manager,he spends plenty and gets the players to play better but not always as a team and always leaves the clubs in a bad way.Give the new manager a good run ,he is a good un and maybe get them back to there old dominance when they were THE CLUB,the very best and i hate saying that. merlin are you from torquay ? have you ever been to anfield ? honest anwsers only
Although I missed the live match, it was so relieving to hear that we won at Anfield.....Lets keep it burning and show the world that RVP was not Arsenal, after all we have lost the best players midway and managed handsomely!
It's so easy for so many of you who aren't LFC supporters to come on here and post your stupid comments about LFC being the worst team that you've ever seen or us being the laughing stock of the EPL. much of that is due to the lack of knowledge or intelligence some of you have due to the tribal prejudices in bedded in you or you have for other clubs. On what basis do you have the right to come out with stupid remarks like that? Please try and base your comments or blatant hateful remarks on the facts not on your willingness to stick in the knife into us. You can't base your statements on knowing nothing about Liverpool and only on what you've read in the press or heard through gossip. As a fan and a life long supporter of this club I guess I'm no different in many ways but at least I have faith in this club and always believe that nothing is as it first seems or appears. This club of ours isn't a joke or the worst club in the league. Every club will always go through it's changes and difficult times. None of any of the abuse that you all are spouting off is based on any truth of what LFC is all about. Things like these happen and will continue to happen to every football club and business. Can any of you name me one club in this league who hasn't been dragged through the dirt by the press and had things said about the way the club has been run? Truth is if it isn't Liverpool FC today then it will be someone else or other club the next day. I seem to remember Arsenal suffering fools gladly last year when they were going through a bad spell at the start of the season and even up until a few weeks ago when they lost Van P to man U.
Bravo Arsenal players keep the move and maintain the unbeaten record Cheers.
Thats the worst Liverpool side Ive ever seen
the comedy has only just started at liverpool, they are the worst team in the league bar none ! RVP and SAF , what a combination
Arsenal continue with the heart it was so lovely ...............
finally arsenal have scored so far we are the best defenders we played all matches and no one scored against us keep it up
say wha..gunnerssssssssssss
Rodgers has got to go, like Hodgson before him he is only used to managing smaller clubs and is not the answer. Bring back King Kenny or a top name manager or sack the board and bring in somebody with money and the will to drive Liverpool forward.
Liverpool should have left Brendan Rogers at Swansea and gone for Michael Laudrup. Pick your socks up Pool!
sack him bring queen kenny back
at last arsenal are scoring keep it going
said it many times before liverpool need a goalscorer to give the end product that has been missing. They have no problem with creating chance after chance but no goals in the end. This is why we should have signed clint dempsey but alast FSG are idiots.
arsenal played beautyfull football today they deserved to win at the end and i was enjoying watching diaby today
sack the manager he dos not know what he is doing
rodgers you are killing the club
