An utterly brilliant goal from Luis Suarez prevented Liverpool from losing at home to Newcastle United as they came from a goal down to draw 1-1. More
90+4' FULL TIME. A moment of genius from Suarez gets Liverpool a point but it could have been more, with Newcastle down to 10 men at the end.
90+4' Liverpool hit the bar! A free kick from Suarez deflects up into the air and as the ball brushes Shelvey's head, Krul gets himself in a mess and allows it to bounce over him, striking the top of the bar.
84' RED CARD! Coloccini dismissed! And rightly so. It's filthy from the centre-back as he goes in studs up after the ball has gone in an attempt to hurt Suarez. Disgraceful.
76' Suarez feeds Sterling to the right and Taylor gets a vital block to the forward's low shot as he looks to beat Krul. Can Newcastle hold on? Suarez is running the show.
74' A change for Liverpool as Sahin is replaced by Stewart Downing.
70' More outrageous skill from Suarez as he takes the ball to the right of the box, goes past a couple of men and lays the ball off to Shelvey who has the goal gaping in front of him. His connection is poor though and Krul recovers to save.
68' Newcastle were getting Shane Ferguson ready anyway but he comes on for Cabaye.
67' GOAL! Liverpool 1-1 Newcastle! Sensational from Suarez. He takes a long punt forward on his shoulder when holding off Coloccini, rounds Krul and tucks the ball away. Absolutely brilliant.
66' A change for Liverpool as Jonjo Shelvey replaces Suso. That presumably means Gerrard will be moving to the right.
59' Lovely shot from Suarez. Pure class as he curls the ball towards the bottom corner from the left of the box, only to see Krul dive full-length to palm it out.
50' Newcastle are forced into a change as Ba is unable to continue. Sammy Ameobi is on in his place. That's a big blow.
46' KICK OFF!

45+2' Liverpool get their legs in a tangle in the box and Taylor pumps an opportunistic effort wide, but that is the break, Newcastle ahead through Cabaye's wonder goal.
43' GOAL! Liverpool 0-1 Newcastle! A stunning, stunning goal. Ben Arfa does brilliantly when beating two men in the box before hitting the byline and floating a cross to the back post for Cabaye. He takes a touch before unleashing an absolutely astounding shot from a tight angle to beat Brad Jones.
40' Gerrard thinks he is Xabi Alonso and tries to score from behind the half-way line with a free kick. It doesn't come off though.
28' A great leap from Suarez as he gets above Taylor to meet a long ball forward from Sahin and send his header a foot or so wide. Excellent attempt from a man not known for his heading.
26' Here comes the chance as Simpson comes on for Perch. Simpson at right-back and Santon at left-back presumably, with Anita coming into midfield.
21' Nuri Sahin sets Suarez free with a lovely poked pass into the right channel and he cuts inside before being denied by a fine low save from Krul. That shot was heading for the far corner.
20' It is Suarez who takes the free kick and the Uruguayan gets some outrageous bend on his shot as it curves towards the top corner and out of Krul's reach. However, it doesn't quite have enough on it and brushes the net wide of the post.
17' Cisse is absolutely fuming for Newcastle! Santon was set free down the left and had the option for a quick centre to find the Senegal striker. However, he delayed and the cross ended up being too high for Cisse, who got a faint head to it before Liverpool cleared.
5' Luis Suarez wants a penalty! The striker cuts a familiar shape when throwing up his hands in exasperation after Fabricio Coloccini appears to touch the ball with his arm as Suarez tries to sneak past him in the box.
3' Gerrard looks to mark his 600th game with a typical goal, smacking in a fierce effort from 25 yards that deflects off target. Anita then fouls Raheem Sterling but the free kick is not exploited to the full.

50′ newcastle should of won liverpool 2-1 because they tried soooooo hard. cisse should have scored a second goal for newcastle. liverpool are a s#!t club
JOSEPH, Colo was made to look a pillock on Sunday, yes you are right, but the whole of the Sunderland team are made to look like pillocks every game, in the coming weeks so will the supporters as O'Neill is ready for the chop. Is that the best you can do"and guess who is 2nd bottom of the fair play league" You fool.
liverpool vs newcastle wiil fight again to win for 0-2
David @ 250, try not to confuse Club with Team, there is a hell of a difference, and whats on top of the league now might be a good team but they certainly are not nor never were nor never will be a good club. see the difference ???
What a name ANITA. poor sod.
Coloccini what was he thinking.totally outclassed, rumours are when he got sent off he had his jersey on inside out he got turned inside out all game so no suprise. As for pardew he engaged his tongue before his brain. Made to look a real jerk after seeing replay of sending off. What a clown.
By the way Yvonne, guess who's 2nd off bottom in the fair play league!!
Yvonne, this blog has got nothing to do with Cattermole,he was man of the match for us on Saturday !! The great Colo was owned by Suarez, who made him look a right pillock,so much so, he tried to cripple the lad but couldnt even do that properly !! Ha Ha Ha!!
JOSEPH, I suppose Catermole is the fairest player in the league. Anyway, why are'nt you on your own boards praising your own team. HA HA HA
OK heres the score. Yes Rodgers is right saying Suarez was imence fact. But he did not mention the poor performance from the rest of the team especially Enrique (Looked very ordinary and clumsy) , Allen (no class), Shelvey (Absoulute donkey)! Liverpool did not win 1 corner! Balls in from Gerrard were below Power. Sterling always gives 100% but has yet to show any finesse and class infront of goal! When you have a couple of player giving 110% and the rest giving 50% you will never win a game! Draw yes we have already seen that! Can't blame manager for poor quality players!
Hee Hee !!!
Hee Hee !!!
Just ignore that girl jospeph`s comments, she spouts the same disrespectful dirt on all club`s blogs. She has no respect for football, she is even hated by her own SAFC people. Yahoo really should ban the racist, bigoted, evil person.
Oh Coloccini he is a filthy #$%$Oh Coloccini when he kicks out like that, Oh Coloccini, owned by Luis Su-arez ! Ha Ha Ha !!!
yet another 2 points dropped again when you look at the stats they tell you everything WE NEED A PROLIFIC GOAL SCORERER if FSG dont allow rogers to spend pretty big on at least one big name they can go and do i think everyone watching LFC are getting abit #$%$ everyweek its the same we just carnt put teams to bed we seem to let goals in near the end of the first or second half it just aint good enough top 4 my #$%$
Another game that underlines what we already know, Liverpool need a genuinely prolific striker to partner the amazing ability of Suarez and to round off Liverpool's dominant possession!
#$%$! LFC sure knows how to frustrate its fans. To me it seems that the senior players should move like Chelsea and get Rodgers out because whatever his system of play or method of motivation is certainly isn't fitting. Our LFC players are to modest.
gerrard and his long ball everton??????????????????????without the long ball and the ferret you would be in the bottom three and strugling to stay THERE...so keep your insults to your own team #$%$...
Newcastle lucky again, it must run out sometime soon, they were dreadful as Liverpool dominated and should have secured 3 points
