90+5 The corner almost drops to Lindegaard but hacked clear! Nani back in, now Lindegaard punts it in and Friedel claims. AND THAT'S IT! SPURS HAVE WON IT! Their first win at Old Trafford since 1989!
90+2 Foolish effort from Nani, firing very high into the crowd from range with United lining up for a pass. Ferdinand is replaced by Hernandez, while Defoe is replaced by Dawson for Spurs.
86' Rafael on the right puts in a cross that Vertonghen then Huddlestone clear. United come again though. Spurs have parked the bus. Now Rafael crosses in, Evra is unmarked and he heads on goal but straight at Friedel!! No marking, Evra should have scored!
85' Ferdinand attempts a cross, Sigurdsson blocks it and United have a corner. The ball is flicked on by Carrick and it hits the woodwork!
84' SPURS SUB: Huddlestone replaced Dembele as AvB looks to shut up shop and get some more of the midfield.
82' The corner is half-cleared as United earn a throw on the left. Now Scholes on the ball AND HE STRIKES FROM RANGE BUT FRIEDEL PARRIES! Almost a Scholes classic there.
79' UNITED SUB: Welbeck replaces Kagawa as United go for the direct option.
78' I say that and then Van Persie drills a super cross in that is hacked away. Rooney a touch deep. Now Nani drives one in from range but too close to Friedel.
73' Carrick lofts a cross in and Van Persie flies in to attack but he flicks the downward header well wide!
70' SPURS SUB: Dempsey comes off for Sigurdsson.
69' Lennon almost gets inside Rio but Evra is back to clear well. Now after some great play by Rooney and Kagawa, Van Persie slips into space on the left but he drags his finish across Friedel and well wide! Should have done much better.
67' Gallas is back on and United fell he handled it when Scholes headed the ball back in. And another one as Kagawa's cross spins into Gallas's midriff! All happening here!
66' United take it quickly, Rafael finds Rooney with his back to goal, he should offload to Carrick but turns to shoot and puts it wide! Carrick is furious!
64' United howling for a penalty after the ball spins up into Sandro's arm! Ferdinand is baying for a spot kick - accidental as he had no idea where the ball was after a bounce, but you see them given. Would have been harsh.
62' Van Persie has the ball in the back of the net but he's a yard offside from Scholes' ball. Granstand finish pending.
61' ROONEY HITS THE POST! A fantastic outswinging free-kick from Rooney that beats Friedel and rattles wood. Great effort.
58' Scholes with a long pass to Nani, now Van Persie finds Rooney but cleared by Caulker. Now Kagawa with a brilliant take of a long ball on his chest, Walker slides in and United want a penalty! Looked a good tackle to me!
54' GOAL UNITED! 3-2! KAGAWA! You are kidding me! Van Persie with a killer through-ball, brilliant turn on a sixpence by the Japanese and he strokes a finish in off the post. Golly.
53' GOAL SPURS! MADNESS! DEMPSEY! 3-1! From kick off almost as United go to sleep, Sandro feeding Bale who smacks a super low shot on goal that Lindegaard saves but a tap-in for Dempsey. Way to hustle.
51' GOAL UNITED! NANI! 2-1 to Spurs, United claw one back as Rooney's fantastic dipping ball from the right is poached home by Nani.
46' The second half is underway with United at a more orthodox 4-4-2 one would assume.
- UNITED SUB: Wayne Rooney has come on for Ryan Giggs. No major surprises.
- Thoughts on that half? Spurs good, United bad? Or just United very, very bad? Let me know on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
45+3 Half-time and a well-drilled Spurs lead a sluggish United 2-0! One is not amused.
42' Still with United as Giggs has the ball on the left, he looks back to Carrick, Scholes wide to Kagawa, now Nani overlaps... Rafael flicks it to Scholes who overheads a pass for Nani, who is hauled down by Vertonghen but no penalty! Corner!
32' GOAL TOTTENHAM! AND IT'S A BALE CLASSIC! 2-0. Dembele with a short ball from halfway and Bale just knocks it away and uses his immense pace from 50 yards to race away from Ferdinand before driving a low finish into the bottom left. Wow. Shades of the goals against Inter Milan.
13' Van Persie is receiving treatment to that whack on the shin. I've seen penalties given for less than that, although Gallas got something on the ball as Van Persie struck it. Seemed a bit reckless to me.
12' Gallas with a header clear but Dempsey gives it away with a poor header, Van Persie can shoot and a late tackle from Gallas, the shot is wide and Gallas is lucky not to give away a penalty. Van Persie is hurt.
11' Old Trafford very subdued right now. Will United come back to win or do Spurs have what it takes? Let me know on Twitter @Reda_Eurosport. FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
9' Corner Spurs after a great burst from Lennon, who shifts inside and drills a shot wide off Rio. Great start by Spurs.
8' JUST WIDE BY DEMPSEY! A fine low strike from range after good play from former Fulham team-mate Dembele.
3' GOAL TOTTENHAM! 1-0! Vertonghen with a driving run forward from defence, almost clumsily lolloping into the box before driving a low shot that takes a huge deflection off Evans to leave Lindegaard wrong footed!

70′ I hate that games are only 90min. Man u would have won this one hands down otherwise.
We are #$%$
There wasnt enough extra time , HOW are we supposed to win if we arent given enough extra time , Do you know how pathetic that sounds SIR ALEX , HA HA
There is no doubt in the professional, adroit management of Sir Alex as the worldly-wise Scot has well proved his merits and abilities. But don't forget that 32 weeks more is ahead to the end of the season. Manu has never given up early since Sir Alex's team has always showed they are men of last stressful days. The history of Premier League confirms my word. Yet to find out which team will win the cup, we should wait till the last weeks. Time only will tell us whether massive petroleum revenue is going to dye the premier league cup blue again or the factor of experience and coordinated teamwork shall redden it once more?
Harry who? Thank God for Levy and AVB.
This is like losing to Blackburn all over again.
Man U had this coming from Spurs - second half we dropped to far back and let Man U dominate-Usual bad loser comment from Ferguson regarding the extra time. i don`t recall any comment from him when Goalie Carroll clearly cheated when the ball went well over the goal line and denied us a victory that day. Yes sometimes like then it was a great injustice but as usual the Fergusons and Wengers of this world are just bad losers.
MAN UTD should have WON MAN u = 4 SPURS = 3 51 nani 2 Vertonghen 53 kagawa 32 Bale 73 van persie 52 Dempsey 85 carrick
Good game.. the point is MU 1st half problem mostly came from giggs..his passing, control ball and marking not like before..
Sir Alex has been a great manager at United and has until the last couple of years had a good attacking policy with his selections, but increasingly lately there seems to be a try to not lose syndrome. In the last 2 and a half games (Galatasary, Liverpool and 1st half Tottenham) a 4-5-1 formation has been used and frankly United have been dreadfull,2 LUCKY wins against Galatasaryand Liverpool and a shocking 1st half against Spurs shots on goal 0, corners 0, but when in the second half the system was changed (probably through desperation) to 4-4-2 the stats change to shots at goal 16, corners 9, so PLEASE Sir Alex can we return to the swashbuckling United we used to be?
Spurs finally looking like an awesome team! We should thank Levy really, slowly but surely he's brought solidity and ambition back to our club.
I'm in total agreement with Sir Alex. They didn't get their regular 6 penalties, or their extra 25 mins added on time. Nani (OR SHOULD IT BE NANA) should get a zimmer frame, he might be able to stay upright. EXCELLENT RESULT. COYS
Avb is the best come on you spurs fans u beat man u scrape a win against qpr and he is now a god. Keep dreaming because when you finish below 6th you will all be #$%$ and moaning why did we get rid of harry. Socrates take your pills!!!
"Take that" Yahoo!!! Your team has been turned over.
well done Tottenham
bale i like you you very quicly
In the recent seasons Man United has turned old and it's tactic and system apear to some measure known and less cutting for the opponents. But after all it still enjoy a high chance to win the 20th championship.
Beautifu handicap RVP 5 times to score and waste his tims.In trhee matches score only a goal(PENALTY) This old man and nothing is the same thing.Think SAF you have the solution in your team ,you have more and better strikers or you are going to use the same walkers.
No wonder Hodgson not called ferdinand to squad he was useless...
Always a good manager with a bad behavior. Then Alex would say the referee are bad thats why we lost. When they won the game he would again said yes this player deserve red card or penalty... Now what ???? You lost hahahahahaha !!!! Just another old man complain... now you know how the other team felt when they heard you talked bad about them. Manu also ways win when they have 12 players on the feels !!
