Liverpool put a controversial week behind them as a Luis Suarez-less XI turned on the style to destroy Newcastle 6-0. More
90+4' FULL TIME. A rout. Two each for Sturridge and Henderson and one apiece for Agger and Borini. A dark, dark day for Newcastle - their worst defeat at home since the 1920s.
85' Double change for Liverpool as the impressive Coutinho and Sturridge are replaced by Suso and Jonjo Shelvey.
81' COUTINHO HITS THE BAR! The midfielder takes aim from range and sees his ferocious effort tipped onto the woodwork by Elliot.
76' GOAL! Newcastle 0-6 Liverpool! Henderson's free-kick bends right inside the far post. This is a complete disaster for Newcastle.
75' RED CARD! Debuchy given a second yellow and Newcastle down to 10 men. He fouled Coutinho. Oh dear.
74' GOAL! Newcastle 0-5 Liverpool! Fabio Borini scores less than a minute after coming on! Downing does well to cut the ball back for the Italian, who drifts away from his man to poke the ball into the far corner.
73' Here is Borini and he replaces Gerrard.
65' Newcastle make a change as Vurnon Anita comes on for Tiote in midfield.
61' GOAL! Newcastle 0-4 Liverpool! It's turning into a rout as Sturridge claims a second. Henderson is set free by a dinked ball over the top and he has far too much time to square for Sturridge, who taps home with Elliot stranded.
56' SHOUT FOR A PENALTY! Ben Arfa strikes a firm shot and his effort cannons off the arm of Lucas, who leapt with them in the air. Seen em given, as they say.
54' GOAL! Newcastle 0-3 Liverpool! Sturridge claims a classy third! Lovely assist from Coutinho and Sturridge controls the ball before thumping it into the roof of the net and past Elliot.
46' KICK OFF!
45+2' HALF TIME. Things got a bit frayed towards the end there, with Tiote appearing to have a little stamp on Sturridge too. Goals from Henderson and Agger have Liverpool in control though.
44' Taylor goes into the book from bringing down Sturridge as the striker wriggled away from him.
42' Confirmation that Glen Johnson has also been booked for a challenge on Tiote.
41' Cabaye goes in late on Henderson to earn a booking. He is all too often guilty of that sort of thing.
39' Jonas into the book for a rather messy challenge on Sturridge.
36' CHANCE FOR NEWCASTLE! How does he miss?? The cross comes in from Haidara on the left and Perch rises unmarked from eight yards out. Somehow, though, he powers a header wide.
27' CHANCE FOR NEWCASTLE! Jonas Gutierrez shifts the ball onto his right boot and sends his shot soaring over the bar.
24' CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL! Lucas whips a pass into Sturridge, who powers through the middle virtually unopposed to rifle a shot at Elliot. Too close to the keeper though.
21' Sturridge and Debuchy engage in a bout of pushing and then go head to head. Both men go into the book as a result.
17' GOAL! Newcastle 0-2 Liverpool! Jordan Henderson converts after a lovely move! Sturridge controls superbly in the centre circle to play in Coutinho and then races through to get the return ball. As Elliot advances he knocks the ball wide to Henderson, who taps in.
12' Liverpool cut through Newcastle again but Sturridge is ruled offside as he collects a pass over the top from Johnson and tests Elliot with a firm effort.
3' GOAL! Newcastle 0-1 Liverpool! Daniel Agger heads home for a third-minute opener! The defender was onside when the ball was chipped into the box and, as Newcastle's defenders stepped up, angled his header past Robert Elliot and in.

See, you can still win without GNASHER Suarez
Considering the Sun is out its looking miserable over the Tyneshite today :)
I'm digging out my old Blyth Spartans shirt, can handle losing, cant handle that level of indifference.
Lousy team I ever saw in my life
ha..ha hahhahahaha... where's that guy with the malcom mc.donald tag that loves to rip it from sunderland fans....oh how i love it when losers like him who have nothing else going on in their lives have to deal with the added turmoil of his team on the the verge of relegation. probably on the dole, and is hurting deep deep down from the 3-0 thrashing imposed t'other week.and now 6-0..with jordan playing out of his skin...bravo!
Mr Pardew .....yer p45s in the office .
Never punch a gift horse in the mouth , speaking of punching .... that Phil Jones has a head on him i'd like to slap!
You know it's not beyond the bounds of possibility that Liverpool could actually score more goals than Man Utd this season. They've had a lot of wins by the odd goal- bless em. Liverpool although seventh are the second highest scorers and have only conceded a lousy 7 more goals than United. Despite these shocking statistics Man Utd have a staggering 30 POINTS MORE!!!! Championship on the cheap I call it. the jammy bar stewards. And LFC as usual have drawn far too many games. LFC have to be more ruthless. With Saurez missing it might have made the Liverpool boys pass the ball around to more team mates in forward positions- so opening up more scoring options. And although Saurez scores piles of goals- he also squanders quite a few chances. Er...we had more bite up front without him.
Sacked in the morning then...Pay up that 8 year contract fat boy
To the tune of 'The Blaydon races' They went on to Sid James's park, one frosty day in April, The Red and whites were up for it, their aim to climb the table. Paolo's boys went up the pitch, the frogs they were a hopping, 0n 27 the Benin bolt scored, the magpies eyes were popping. 3,000 braves took up the chant, Sid James's park was rocking, The trailer park trash aka Taylor the flash made a tackle that was shocking. The cheating #$%$ was true to form, but the faithfull sang regardless, Johno swerved an awesome shot, the black and whites rear guard less. The scoreboard moved from 1 to 2, the frogs began to shiver, Paolo pushes the reds up the pitch, the stands began to quiver, Paolo brings on Frankie V, surely nothing matters, Frankie hits the roof of the net, the black and whites in tatters. They left the park with harldy a bark, the toon was ganna get it, A polis horse got in the way, and was banjoed by a half wit. Within 2 weeks Sid James's again mixed with red hordes entertaining, Pardew promised a redeeming show,...................a 6 nil fu£&ing caning!!!!!!!
Just Shows you thet dont need Saurez
newcastle might try the french league next year
missing suarez already eh?
Hate to say it Geordies but you could go down.Away to West Ham and Qpr where you may get a point and then another thrashing at home by Arsenal.Wrong to pack the team with Frenchies who don't have the stiffest backbones in the world.Great when the going is good but nowhere when the going gerts tough.First time I have seen a home team passing it along the backline wasting time when 0-6 down.
Shocking performance, players were a disgrace, no interest, no passion. Liverpool were good but be honest here, they were not great. They were playing a bunch of uninterested way overhyped players. Pardew I`m afraid is undefendable. Really was a complete and utter shambles to watch today.
