89' Free-kick to QPR late on as Rafael commits a foul. Swung in by Taarabt and in flies Samba far post but his downward header is well saved by Dea Gea!- 88' Welbeck almost turns into a finish but a slide tackle from Jenas I think foils him. Good play Giggs and Rooney in the build-up.

- 75' SHOULD HAVE BEEN 2-0! Evra got in space down the left wing after an overlapping run, the cut-back landed behind Welbeck flying in but Rooney dug out a finish which was blocked brilliantly by a flying Hill!
73' QPR SUB: Hoilett comes on, I think Townsend may have made way.- 72' Samba with one of the wilder clearances you'll see after another poor pass from Cesar puts him in trouble. He only needs to look at his keeper to get the apology.
- 70' Rafael gets in space down the right but overhits the cross behind for a goal kick.
- 69' Welbeck tries to hold it up for Valencia on the overlap but Traore gets across to intercept.

- 65' The corner lands on Samba's head at the far post but, with Vidic battling away, the Congolese puts it wide. It says plenty about Samba that he makes Vidic look small!

- 62' Finally got a look at that Carrick-Taarabt tangle. Carrick got the ball, hooking it in the air, and Taarabt fell over him as both got up. No foul.

- 60' Fantastic skill from Taarabt to weave around three challenges, he finds Zamora on the left who slips it Traore on the wing but the left-back miscontrols. Poor.

- 45+2 United holding on to the ball well now as Nani and Welbeck combine, Welbeck feeding Hernandez who feels he was being pulled by Hill but no penalty. QPR break but miscontrol from Granero and the move dies.
- 45+1 Two minutes added time being played as Young wins a free-kick. Evra is fine now, running with the ball.
- 45' ... Naughty from Townsend who appeared to stamp on Evra's face as they tangled for the ball. Need to see that again. Evra was out cold, or seemed to be, but he's up now. The ref decides it was accidental and plays an uncontested drop ball, which Zamora kicks back to De Gea.
- 44' United wanted advantage as Welbeck was clear but good refereeing as Evra appears to have gone down with a head injury...
- 43' Traore with a teasing cross from the left but Giggs is back defending and completes the clearance.

- 41' UNITED SUB: Van Persie will not continue, with the Champions League match against Real Madrid in mind no doubt, Welbeck on.

- 15' Taarabt with one of his sudden turns and burst towards goal, but he sends a daisy cutter well wide of De Gea's goal.
- 14' Nice idea from Carrick to flick the ball down the line but, while Giggs is no slouch, the old man of the Premier League lacks the searing pace of old and can't get there.
- 12' Free-kick to United on the left, which Young will swing in... Superb flat ball on to the head of Nani flying in around the penalty spot, but he flicks the header wide!
- 11' Vidic hoofs clear as Taarab threatened to pick out Zamora.

- 9' United stroking the ball about deep in their half. No need to take risks when you have van Persie loitering for 90 minutes!
- 8' Van Persie fails to get hold of it on edge of the box and QPR have goal kick. Subdued start to match.
- 6' Poor ball in from the Hoops and United get it away.
- 5' Vidic fouls Zamora after the QPR man does well to shield the ball. Free-kick to the hosts on he right wing...
- 4' Good slide tackle from Samba as Van Persie threatened to get in.
- 3' United with the early possession but nothing too probing - QPR pretty well organised under 'Arry.
- 2' Zamora with an early touch on the ball. He has struggled for fitness since getting an England call a few years ago but Remy's injury problems have given him another chance.
