Gareth Barry scored an own goal and Joe Hart was guilty of a big error as Southampton beat Manchester City 3-1 at St Mary's. More
90+5' FULL TIME! What a result!
80' A change for Southampton as James Ward-Prowse, the talented young midfielder, replaces Davis.
74' Maicon comes on and he replaces Silva. A puzzling decision to say the least.
71' Fox has had to be removed due to a back injury and Frazer Richardson is on in his place.
70' Toure is in Atkinson's book for a kick at Schneiderlin.
67' Manchester City now have no centre-back on the pitch as Lescott has been replaced by Aleksandar Kolarov. The Serb joins Zabaleta and Clichy in a back three, with Garcia pushing forward.
62' Lallana is on and surprisingly it is Puncheon whom he replaces.
56' James Milner replaces the ineffectual Nasri and immediately drives a shot wide of the post.
55' WHAT A SAVE! Barry pops a pass over the top for Aguero and he spins to take his shot early, but Boruc prevents it from sneaking in when throwing out an arm.
51' Clichy goes into the book for a petulant reaction to being penalised for a foul.
49' GOAL! Southampton 3-1 Manchester City! You will not believe this goal. Lambert puts in a cross from the left and for some reason, Barry passes the ball straight into his own net. An absolute shocker.
48' SAINTS GO CLOSE! Lambert runs in behind Garcia and waits for support. He finds it in Puncheon and lays the ball off, but the midfielder opts for power over accuracy and the ball flies over.
46' KICK OFF!

45+3' HALF TIME. Southampton feel they should have had a penalty but it's a good first half nonetheless for the home side who lead through goals from Puncheon and Davis.
45+2' Rodriguez bursts into the box and Toure barges him over - it looks a clear pen, but Atkinson isn't having any of it.
39' GOAL! Southampton 2-1 Manchester City! Southampton try to do a Beckham-Scholes from the corner but City intercept before Danny Fox can hit it on the volley and break quickly. Dzeko leads them off and Silva then plays in Zabaleta. His square pass finds Dzeko, who accidentally dinks the ball over Boruc and in when trying to stab it home at the near post.
27' Lambert is the first player booked for a pull on Joleon Lescott. It was very blatant.
22' GOAL! Southampton 2-0 Manchester City! It's a clanger from Hart. Lambert cuts inside Clichy and fires in a firm effort that the keeper drops. Steven Davis follows in to tuck the ball away, but dear oh dear, what a gaffe.
7' GOAL! Southampton 1-0 Manchester City! Puncheon puts Southampton in front. The winger robs Barry of possession and plays in Rodriguez, who is denied by Hart. However, the ball rebounds to Puncheon and he slots it away.
1' KICK OFF! Southampton attacking left to right in their home red kit.

Why, when we had no money an where losing games, did no one say "Ahh they only lost because they have no money?" And why didn't the Man ure fans ever say "Of course city lost, they don't spend silly amounts of money on players like United do" And now the boot is on the other foot, old whiskey nose Sir Alex wants financial fair play...lol you are havin a laugh ain't you? Emmanuel, your photo tells me everything I need to know!!! Your brains are in your #$%$....Have a nice day.
HA HA!!!! When we meet in April, Bring the PL trophy back with you!
Told you so!!!!!!
hahah lmao all money no class barry thanks for making me laugh soo much haha 12 points clear now bring it money grabbing tw@ts
Good win but.....Southampton for the League NEVER HAPPEN not the Premier League There is something sadly missing at Manchester City at the moment it seems to me none of the (out field) players are safe and any of them could go the same way as Mario Balotelli then again they new on joining the club only eleven could play and they would need to fight for their places
haha
Tell a team that 13 of them will be shown the door, and then wonder why they don't play well ?!
You don't have any class. all money and zero credibility
there are gonna be less blue shirts being worn by the end of the season as the plastic fans scatter and start to support this season's champions.
come utd
Mancini said it is easy task to take down MU with 9 point gap.. That means I will be easy task for chealsea spurs n gunner to take down MC.. They will ffinish 5th this season.. Lats cross our fingger n pray.. Hahaha..
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The city boss should drop joe hart and put pantilimon in the goal for the rest of the season and he should never play barry again he should put them both in the reserves until the end of the season and then get rid of them both.
Tevez wasn't in the squad. Is he injured?
You think its all over, it is now, hello special one
well done saints a class act keep it going
Buying the title 4 city ? ... im not even a fan of them ...but u just bought r/v/p for 25 mil ....zaha 20m ...remember Rooney 30m ...so shut up ...as thats just stupid !
Is J.Hart goner change his advert to should have gone to speck savers?????
Just this week, Mancini and his his players were talking about how it will take only two matches lost by United for the title race to be opened again. May be they didn't realize it was not just down to two matches. At 9 points gap, if United need to win 10 matches, City need to win 13 matches to be level. If it becomes 12 points gap, they will need to win 14 matches if United had to win 10.
