90+4' The full-time whistle goes, and Sunderland are utterly deflated as they go down 1-0 to Aston Villa, who celebrate wildly as they claim a hugely valuable win away from home! It's a huge win for Lambert's side, while boos ring out around the Stadium of Light.
90+1' Fletcher shows his frustration as he brings down Bannan, and he is shown the yellow card.
88' Brett Holman comes on to replace Weimann, and Lambert is delighted with him as he comes off.
87' The flag was actually up, so it wouldn't have counted anyway, but Guzan is struggling with a hand injury.
82' Fraizer Campbell comes on to replace Bardsley, and that is Sunderland's final change.
81' Benteke is booked as he cynically tugs down O'Shea, who goes down very easily to make the most of it.
73' What an opportunity! Saha gets in front of his marker, substitute Enda Stevens, but he heads over the bar from close range!
71' Lichaj is now going to come off for Villa, and he is replaced by Enda Stevens.
69' Ciaran Clark is now booked for a poor challenge from behind on Colback.
65' Craig Gardner comes off as James McClean is introduced, while Louis Saha replaces Sessegnon.
63' Sunderland are furious as they have a vociferous appeal for handball, and it was Benteke in the box who they believe handled! His arms were up, but it was surely not accidental.
61' Fletcher takes a nasty blow in the head after a clash with Vlaar, and he goes down injured.
56' GOAL! Agbonlahor puts Villa in front! Benteke does superbly to win a towering header at the back post after a swift counter-attack from the visitors, and Agbonlahor stabs the ball home from close range! Villa finally have a second-half goal in the Premier League this season!
46' The second half is under way at the Stadium of Light, and neither manager sees fit to make any tactical changes just yet.

45+3' The half-time whistle goes at the Stadium of Light, and it's perhaps unsurprisingly goalless between two sides who have really struggled to find the back of the net so far this season. Fletcher had a goal disallowed for offside, but that's as close as we've come.
33' Bardsley, who was very fortunate to avoid a booking when injuring Bennett early in the match, is finally booked for a cynical kick on Agbonlahor.
10' Eric Lichaj comes on for Villa to replace the injured Bennett, and that's a real shame for the defender so early in the match.
8' Bennett goes down injured after he is caught by Bardsley, and that looks a very nasty one on the ankle!
5' Fletcher latches on to a precise through ball from Sessegnon and coolly lifts the ball over the onrushing Guzan, but a very late offside flag halts him in his tracks as he wheels away to celebrate!
4' Lambert is bawling out his defenders for not stepping up quickly enough as a unit, but Fletcher is still ruled offside anyway.
1' There's a very good atmosphere in the ground as Sessegnon charges down the right and has to be challenged by Bennett.

85′ MON is past his best. Sunderland have had 13 shots on target this season, Everton had more than that yesterday. MON thinks they should have got something out of the game. Not from the reports I have read Martin.. WQE laughes when NUFC signed Pardew as Manager.. Who is laughing now??
Now is ONeill any better than Bruce? They haven't done much since he took over so he is not the saviour they thought he was
oh mirth ........Jerseph ,did ye enjoy the game hinny ? Should be bucketloads o goals at Everton next week ........and theyl not be yours !
9 games in and a Newcastle own goal scorer is still your second top scorer, how embarrassing is that, god it must be horrible to be a Sunderland fan!!!
Well Sunderland have a tough couple of away games coming up but it may be a relief for the players to get away from the pressure of the sol for a while but I'm afraid, I expect them to get beat. Sunderlands confidence is low but the reason for that is, lack of ability, catch 22, nothing can be done about it until the Jan transfer window and even then, are the board going to give MON another £26mil to waste???
Booos ring out at the stadium of shyte, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

Get your coat, go to the pay office and pick up your bus fare and frig off O'Neill, Ipswich have just signed the manager Sunderland should of had. Time to go on hands and knees and crawl to Stevie Bruce to come back.
Great result--I hope we"re turning the corner.
Martha watch the door doesn't hit your @r$e on the way out

Will you lot stop complaining about comments disappearing, there's a game going on, come on Villa ha ha ha!!
This result could be massive for Villa's survival hopes but will put a big dent in Sunderlands champions league ambitions ha ha ha ha hahahaaaaaa!!!!
As usual---comments gone again--who is the d------d in charge of this outfit???
what is the point of having a comments facility thay does not workk Yahoo you are rubbish
Well, as a neutral, I can see Sunderland going a journey, Mignolet keeping the score down but looks like even the luck has deserted them, if the lucks gone, then so are they because Lady Luck has been their best player this season!!!
