    • 90+1 GOOOAL!! From the resulting corner, Jerome collects the poor clearance and whips the ball back in. Michael Owen gets his head to the ball to head past Vorm. 3-1.

    • 88' As you’d expect of this Swansea side, they play the game out with some decent possession and although Stoke have three out-and-out strikers on the pitch they have had very little sight of the ball.

    • 44' Testament to Dean’s attempt to let the play flow, there is no stoppage time as Stoke look to get a goal before the break but Crouch loses his bearings and his attempted flick is in the general direction of no one.
    • 43' Cameron makes a first trip forward but the Swans win the ball and looks for Hernandez. Huth comes across to clear. Etherington leads a break down the right, cuts inside and draws a pretty rudimentary save from Vorm with an effort from the edge.

    • 40' Routledge turns Walters inside out before hitting the byline and crossing. De Guzman meets the cross with an awkwardly out-stretched leg and the ball skews off wide. Another chance.
    • 38' BIG CHANCE. Etherington makes a hash of an attempt at a cute clearance and Rangel intervenes before nut-megging the winger and delivering a near perfect cross for Michu. The Spaniard gets up well but directs his header just the wrong side of the post.

    • 36' Crouch continues to work hard up front but there is a posse of Swansea defenders around him every time he gets the ball.
    • 34' Swansea ramping up the corner count but the delivery continues to disappoint.
    • 32' De Guzman's corner fails to beat the first man but the headed clearance doesn’t have enough purchase on it and Hernandez’s half-volley is turned wide of the goal by Whitehead. It was probably going wide to be fair and the resulting corner is a disappointing affair.
    • 30' Whitehead delivers a tantalising cross from his first foray forward but the cross is cleared. Etherington picks up the clearance and plays a smart one-two with Adam to afford the wide man a run at goal. His touch lets him down though and he is forced wide resulting in a skewed effort that never threatens the target.
    • 28' Mike Dean is really trying to let this one flow. Etherington this time disappointed by his decision not to call a foul for what looked like a pretty blatant elbow. Swansea break.
    • 27' No real action for either keeper thus far, even if the hosts are having the better of it.
    • 26' Adam loses the ball in the heat of the midfield battle and Routledge finds Hernandez, who immediately sends the ball in the box. Michu, who is arriving late, can’t re-arrange his feet though and his left-footed volley is wild.

    • 23' Routledge skips past Whitehead but his cross is not of the required standard.
    • 21' Whitehead, a midfielder looking out-of-sorts at right-back, is lucky that Routledge was a little over-zealous in his attempts to get to a switch of play. Free-kick but that is the third or fourth time that the hosts have looked for that switch.

    • 18' Routledge finds Ki centrally, who looks to whip the ball around his opposing player – it is wide though. The Swans frustration grows.
    • 17' Adam breaks from midfield to pressure the Swans back four, who work it back to Vorm. The keeper goes long but Huth meets it with his head to clear. A story of dominant defences thus far.
    • 16' Late challenge from Michu. He exchanges passes with Routledge on the edge before attempting to volley the return but Shawcross gets there first and the Spaniard ends up booting the Stoke captain in the mid-drift.
    • 14' The pace of the game has slowed quite dramatically here as Swansea now go long. Shawcross reads the ball to clear for a throw.
    • 13' Stoke, having weathered an early storm, have got a bit of territory now but Swansea look comfortable.
    • 12' Crouch links the play well to allow Etherington the chance to run at Monk but the Swans' captain is resolute to clear for a throw. The throw is worked short before being switched to Crouch, who wins a header but the hosts mop up the second ball.
