    • And that is full time. West Brom move up to seventh after this win. Sunderland were perhaps not value to get anything out of this game on performance but they could easily have stolen a point at the end there. Good game of football. Lukaku stealing the show.
    • 90+3 James Mcclean misses a sitter. A high cross isn't dealt with as Fletcher heads across goal. The Irish winger can't get his head over the ball as he hits it on the half-volley and it flies over the bar. Definitely last chance there.
    • 90+2 Sessegnon has sprinted the length of the pitch with the ball and finds himself at the byline only to delay his cross and see the ball go out of play for a goal kick. Disappointing end to a fanatastic run. That could be it.

    • 59' West Brom enjoy their first bit of controlled possession of the half. They work the ball to Morrison on the edge of the area but his final touch to get away from Bramble doesn't trick the defender and he clears.

    • 48' Ridgewell is finding all kinds of space to run in to down Sunderland's right. He puts another good ball in to Lukaku but the Belgian just can't reach it and it goes behind.

    • 45+2 And that is half-time. After a quiet opening twenty minutes, the game sprung into life and we now have fifteen minutes to get our breath back.
    • 45+1 Sunderland come forward through Johnson on the left. He jinks into the penalty area and gets himself a yard before blasting the ball into the box. McCauley throws himself at it and it seems to strike his hand but the referee says no and it goes for a corner.
    • 45' Morrison crosses beautifully for Long who rises high at the far post but somehow gets underneath the header and the attempt goes way over the crossbar.
    • 44' Lukaku is a beast. He nutmegs the defender on the halfway line before ploughing his way past Larsson with his pace and power. As he gets into the penalty area he slows and just miscontrols the ball and it is cleared.
    • 43' Sunderland are trying to settle themselves before the break with some controlled possession in midfield but as they try to move the ball forward, West Brom compress the space and win the ball back.
    • 41' Brunt's free-kick is poor by his high-standards. He just floats the ball in and that is easy for Mignolet. He sends the ball forward to Sessegnon quickly who is fouled on the halfway line.

    • 34' PENALTY WEST BROM. The pressure had been building and the ball found its way to Ridgewell who crossed from the left. Gardner jumped to block but his arms were out from his body and as the ball struck his arms, the referee pointed to the spot. Lukaku to take.
    • 32' Graham and Fletcher are having a hard time holding the ball up as the ball finds itself out to Reid. He lobs the ball up to Lukaku but the ref spots a push from the Belgian on Gardner.

Morrison rescues it and plays the ball back out to Ridgewell whose cross is superb and is met by Mulumbu six yards out of the goal, dead centre. He manages to glance the ball past the post and Sunderland get away with one.
    • 27' West Brom are just starting to find some space and some gaps in Sunderlands midfield. A through ball to Long is snuffed out by Colback as he bore down on goal.
    • 26' This game has sparked into life in the past few minutes with chances at both ends. Sessegnon's latest attempt to set up a goal sees a deflection take the ball into Foster's arms.
    • 25' Morrison overlaps Lukaku on the right wing and flashes a shot across the face of goal only for no-one to dart in and be on the end of it.
    • 24' BIG CHANCE. Yacob fails to deal with the ball on the edge of the area and it is played to Fletcher by Graham. He sidefoots the ball onto the post while West Brom scramble their defence together only for Fletcher to blast his second opportunity over the bar. Big let off.

    • 22' West Brom have slightly upped their tempo and now are seeing more of the ball. Unfortunately they cannot seem to find a way to pass through the Sunderland midfield and a long ball sees Long chasing it out for a throw-in.
    • 21' A tangle between Brunt and Sessegnon sees the West Brom man plough into the back of his opposite number. Somehow he comes off the worse for wear but recovers to defend the free-kick.
    • 20' Sessegnon takes on Brunt and Ridgewell down the left and wins his team a throw-in. But the pass to Fletcher sees the Scot foul his marker and give away possession back to West Brom.
    • 19' Danny Graham's second involvement in a Sunderland shirt is to again, be offside.
    • 18' Bit of a naughty challenge from Reid on N'Diaye as the Sunderland man tries to turn out of trouble. The ref deems it a foul but takes no further action.

    • 15' I don't think Steve Clarke will be too happy with this start. Though Sunderland have not had a clear chance, they've started better and have controlled possession slightly better.

    • 13' West Brom win a free-kick after a trip from N'Diaye. Looks like Brunt to load it in to Lukaku but Colback clears.
    • 12' Jack Colback keeps Sunderland ticking over with possession in the middle of the park. The visitiors are starting to move the ball around but as they approach the West Brom penalty area, they are snuffed out and West Brom take control.
    • 11' The game has yet to get going with both teams just feeling eachother out a bit. No-one really has much control as they battle it out for superiority in this match.
