    • 90+3 Barnstorming finish here. Pilkington in some space but his cross is over-hit and that’s it from Upton Park.
    • 90+2 Backs against the walls here as we enter the last minute of stoppage time.
    • 90+1 Cole does extremely well to hold the ball up at the Norwich end of the pitch.
    • 90' Incredible. GOOOOOAL!! Elliot Bennett beats his man and clips the ball to Martin who volleys his side in with a shout of a point. 2-1.
    • 88' Norwich piling on the pressure here but West Ham are doing well to stem the flow - some pretty towering headers preventing further pressure.
    • 87' A full-back Spence for winger Jarvis as West Ham attempt to shut up shop.
    • 86' Fox is afforded space on the edge of the box following a cleared corner but having steadied himself the substitute's volley is always rising.
    • 85' Fox for Howson for the visitors as that injury takes it toll.
    • 84' Jarvis runs at Martin and wins a corner.
    • 83' WEST HAM SUB: Vaz Te is taken off for Maiga.
    • 82' Norwich finishing this game in the ascendancy in terms of possession but without much penetration.
    • 81' Martin with a pretty spectacularly poor dive in the box as Howson turns his ankle and he’ll probably be replaced.
    • 80' Norwich work the ball well up to Jackson, who sets it for Tettey but his effort from outside the box is always rising. Poor effort that as he had time to measure his shot.
    • 79' West Ham have a throw in the corner. Demel receives it back from Cole before making his way into the box but he is ushered off the ball for a goal kick.
    • 77' Just under a quarter of an hour left to play here and this will be a nervy, nervy finish if the Canaries can muster a goal.
    • 75' Elliott Bennett has been bright since his introduction – he wins another corner. Snodgrass delivers to the near post but Cole rises to clear.
    • 73' Those substitutions appear to have reinvigorated the visitors, and it is wave after wave of attack.
    • 72' Howson leads a break. He slips the ball to Snodgrass who, in turn, feeds Martin but his cross is blocked. The ball comes to Snodgrass but his shot is easily claimed by Jaaskelainen.
    • 71' WEST HAM SUB: O'Neil for O'Brien.
    • 70' NORWICH SUB: Jackson for Kane and Bennett for Hoolahan.
    • 68' Bennett throws the ball into the box, and some jostling ends with a corner to Norwich. Snodgrass flights the corner over and Turner rises well but heads over.
    • 66' That should have been three. Taylor is given time to measure a cross to the far post, Vaz Te gets up early but his header comes off the post and wide.
    • 64' Noble has a shot blocked for a corner – Taylor’s delivery flashes across the face of the goal and out for a goal kick. Big chance.
    • 62' This is much better from the visitors – they work the ball well to Pilkington on the left who comes back on his right and clips the ball in. A West Ham head meets it though.
    • 60' Noble with a great tackle on Snodgrass but the midfielder appears to have injured himself. Twisted knee, that looks like.
    • 58' Vaz Te jinks this way and that before lifting the cross to the far post but it has too much on it and it trickles out for a goal kick.
    • 56' The corner count for West Ham is really on the rise. Taylor looks for Collison but Martin clears for another corner. Taylor this time goes to the far post but Tomkins heads wide.
    • 54' Snodgrass slips the ball between the West Ham defence for Pilkington but the assistant referee’s flag is aloft.
    • 52' Far better start from the visitors – much more intensity.
    • 50' Unbelievable. No penalty – looks like a certain one. Kane gets the wrong side of Tomkins and the defender brings him down but the referee waves away the appeals.
    • 48' Snodgrass fires a free-kick to the back post as the Canaries look to make an immediate impact on the score. The whistle goes for a foul on Jaaskelainen, though.
    • 46' No half-time changes as the Hammers get the game underway.
    • 45+2 And that's it from the first half.
    • 44' Pilkington is another one who has struggled to get into this game. Cole looks like he handles the ball as he lays-off to Noble. His well-struck effort from just outside box is blocked for a corner.
    • 42' A bit of a sedate finish to this half. Kane does well to win a free-kick just inside the West Ham half. Snodgrass clips it in but O’Brien clears.
    • 41' Howson wins a header and that is his first contribution thus far – Noble having the run of the midfield.
    • 40'' Norwich go long but Hoolahan had strayed offside.
    • 38' Kane has had a very poor game – surely Jackson will be introduced come half time.
    • 36' WHAT A MISS. Demel gets in behind the full-back to flash the ball across the six-yard box and Cole somehow manages to fire it over the bar. Incredible. What a miss.
    • 34' West Ham work the ball extremely well down the left to Jarvis who again runs at Bennett. Snodgrass doubles up though and Jarvis is ushered off the ball. Goal-kick.
    • 32' Jarvis wins another corner – they play it short to Taylor on the edge but his shot is always rising. Bunn can’t be sure that it is going over so he gets a hand to it. The following corner is delivered deep into the box but there is a foul and there is some respite for the Norwich defence.
    • 30' Tettey is back on but it looked like a head injury so one imagines that the referee will come in for some criticism.
    • 28' That’s two pretty harsh goals to concede but Norwich have a mountain to climb to avoid four defeats on the spin.
    • 26' Goooooal for West Ham. It is a contentious one. Tettey goes down under the challenge of Cole but West Ham play on. Noble jinks inside the box and cuts it back. The clearance is loose and O’Brien follows it in to fire past Bunn from close range. 2-0.
    • 25' West Ham are getting great joy down the wing. Demel whips a cross in and Collison challenges for the ball with his head. The break of the ball falls to the midfielder who toe pokes it goalwards from inside the six yard box. Great save from Bunn.
    • 23' There is an almighty scramble in the box and Reid appears to handle the ball. No penalty and the Norwich players are incandescent. Definite penalty.
    • 21' West Ham give away a free-kick in Snodgrass territory. The Scot whips it over the wall from about 25 yards out and Jaaskelainen is left stationary as the ball comes back off the post. Tomkins clears.
    • 20' Bennett is being given a torrid afternoon thus far and Jarvis skips past him. His cross to the far post is cleared and the referee adjudges that Cole had fouled Martin anyway.
    • 19' Kane goes in late on Tomkins as he looks to put his mark on the game.
    • 17' Vaz Te goes a fraction too soon as the referee’s whistle alleviates some of the pressure on the visiting defence.
    • 15' Cole breaks down the left and lifts a ball to Collison but there is a Norwich head there to clear. Incessant pressure from the hosts. Norwich are struggling to get anything to stick up top with Kane currently being dominated by the West Ham back four.
    • 13' Taylor flicks the ball to Cole, who lets it run across his body before flashing an effort at Bunn from outside the box - but it is a pretty rudimentary save for the keeper.
    • 12' Tomkins cuts out a Hoolahan through ball as the Canaries respond well to going behind.
    • 11' Cole is back on – albeit hobbling around.
    • 10' Cole goes down following a collision with Tettey, and he is really, really struggling.
    • 8' West Ham work the ball well down the Norwich left but there is a breakdown in communication between Cole and Vaz Te as the forward breaks in behind while his teammate expected him to come short.
    • 7' Norwich need to regroup and Snodgrass puts the cross over to the far post. Tomkins does very well under some pressure to head clear with three Norwich players lurking.
    • 5' A ferocious start at Upton Park.
    • 4' That decision looks a little harsh – you see that kind of shirt tugging every game.
    • 3' GOOOOAL!! Great penalty from Noble. Sends the keeper the wrong way. 1-0.
    • 3' Jarvis runs at Ryan Bennett and wins a corner. Jarvis slings it over but it is cleared. Demel puts it back in and Clattenburg gives a penalty for a shirt pull on Reid. Ryan Bennett the offender.
    • 1' The referee Mark Clattenburg gets this New Year’s day fixture underway with Norwich kicking off.
    • 14:55 MATCH ODDS: West Ham 11/10, Norwich 5/2, Draw 12/5.
    • 14:50 Chris Hughton: "What we have to look at is who those three opponents were. I think it shows how good the run was when we were on it. We had a tough game at West Brom, and then Chelsea and Man City. In all three we've lost by one goal, which shows we were in those games. What we need to do is turn those close games in our favour."
    • 14:45 Managers quotesSam Allardyce: "Suddenly Norwich becomes a test of nerve – we are now in our worst run of results this season, and the unprofessionalism of players, due to frustration, means we are now without our captain and James Collins on New Year's Day through suspension. Losing the game was hard enough, but to lose two key players in the last game of the suspension period makes it even worse."

    • 14:35 Despite a disappointing festive programme that has seen both sides fail to register a point, both these sides have made good, solid starts to the season – the New Year sees Norwich one place above West Ham in eleventh. The September fixture between these two sides ended in an entertaining goalless draw.
    • 14:30 Norwich midfielder Bradley Johnson also serves a one-match ban after collecting a fifth yellow card. Defender Steven Whittaker (hip) and winger Andrew Surman (hip) continue their rehabilitation. Striker Steve Morison (thigh) and captain Grant Holt (hamstring) miss out, so on-loan Tottenham forward Harry Kane leads the attack.
    • 14:25 West Ham are without suspended captain Kevin Nolan – having picked up a fifth booking of the season at Reading on Saturday. The Hammers are also without injured duo Andy Carroll and Mohamed Diame.
    • 14:20 West Ham United: Jaaskelainen, Demel, Reid, Tomkins, O'Brien, Noble, Collison, Taylor, Jarvis, Vaz Te, Cole. Subs: Spiegel, Spence, Diarra, O'Neil, Lletget, Lee, Maiga. /// Norwich City: Bunn, Martin, Bassong, Turner, R.Bennett, Snodgrass, Howson, Tettey, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Kane. Subs: Rudd, Barnett, E.Bennett, Tierney, Fox, Smith, Jackson.

  16. Ronsenglish: I think he's still on loan at Birmingham. At least I saw this story the other day:- "Ravel Morrison pondering international future with Jamaica The West Ham-owned midfielder has represented England up to Under-18 level but could pledge his allegiance to the nation of his mother after impressing on loan at Birmingham City." Expect he'll go the same way as ace strikers Sam Baldock and Nicky Maynard - both now at Bristol City I believe. Good to see Vaz Te back though. Hope he's fully fit and fully over his #$%$-up versus Reading.

  19. @Ronsenglish We (Norwich) have so many players out injured I would not be surprised if this ends in another entertaining draw! Holt and Morison are injured so we're relying on Kane, a player with no real experience playing up front on his own! I won't expect too many goals this afternoon!
