Andrei Arshavin
The Russian obviously likes it at Anfield, following last season's four-goal salvo with Sunday's cracking winner. Possibly the only player whose trademark celebration is pulling a silly face.
Maynor Figueroa
If there is to be a strike that beats the Honduran's effort for goal of the season, we can't wait to see it. His quick thinking and pinpoint shot from a free-kick in his own half was simply stunning.
Thomas Sorensen
Stoke's keeper may have been beaten by Figueroa's effort, but his fifth penalty save from his last six for club and country ensured a share of the points for the Potters.
Aston Villa
Martin O'Neill's men enhanced their top four credentials by adding to wins over Chelsea and Liverpool with their first win at Old Trafford since Billy Joel's Uptown Girl was number one in the charts.
Birmingham City
Only Chelsea have kept more clean sheets than Alex McLeish's side, and that solid defence has seen the Premier League's form side up to eighth in the table.
Chelsea
The Blues looked irresistible going forward, but their repeated failure to defend set pieces saw them draw 3-3 against a spirited Everton. Time to see Ancelotti earn his money.
Tottenham Hotspur
Dropped out of the top four after a home defeat to Wolves, no Christmas party for the players and Benoit Assou-Ekotto had an altercation - plenty of bad news for Spurs.
West Ham
The sad news of Dean Ashton's retirement was compounded by Hammers fan Lee Bowyer scoring the winner for Birmingham, leaving them in the bottom three.
Craig Bellamy
The Welshman was unfortunate to receive a second yellow card for diving in the 3-3 thriller at Bolton, but his first booking, for dissent, was eminently avoidable.
Younes Kaboul
The same goes for the Pompey defender, who picked up a second booking for celebrating his late equaliser at Sunderland by whipping his shirt off. When will players learn?

Good run by Arsh but what were the other 9 doing!! No commitment still
Steven Gerrard wrote in his book that Anfield's athmosphere provides him 40% more power and energy than when he plays at other places, but obviously it always works better for Arshavin, Stevie G you better concentrate on football haha
Arsha is the best
If he likes it so much, why not join Liverpool? =;-)
Arshavin is great but sadly he is the only Arsenal player who seems to be willing to have a shot on goal from outside the six-yard box! Unless Arsenal can find a new TALL striker soon they have no chance of winning anything this season. Bendtner is too inconsistent.
Ashaven scored a great goal (although not his best) and it was totally undeserved and he should of been sent off for a second bookable offence, when arsenal as a whole petty fouled their way to a meaningless victory (they are still a good team). Liverpool were by the far the better team in the first half, and but for howard webb they would of won. The second half was full of bad luck for liverpool, a few half decent arsenal attacks and alot of arsenal fouling and time wasting. Despite what the media mafia are saying (and some fans) liverpool are playing quite well, sometimes in football you do not get what you deserve.
stephentookey. 4. oh boo hoo just take the loss like we have too. jesus man u and chelsea supporters wakey wakey.
IF ONLY ARSENAL'S SQUAD WERE FULLY FIT. THE PREMIERSHIP DECIDER WOULD NOW BE OVER. 3RD PLACE WITH ALL OUR TOP STRIKERS OUT SERVES TO REMIND OTHERS THAT ARSENAL DO HAVE A PLAN "B" AFTER ALL. LUCKY ARSENAL? YEAH, BUT DON'T TELL ME THAT THE LIKES OF CHELSEA. MAN UTD. MAN CITY. ET AL, WOULD HAVE THANKED THE REF IF ONE OF THE WORST PENALTY DECISIONS EVER HAD BEEN IN THEIR FAVOUR.. CRAZY.
This is again Harry K. Samboo from Mauritius. Thank you for not publishing(?) the abose reported comments. I suggest that not even their name/alias should be mentioned.Good manners are not the qualities that every body has, Nevertheless thank you again.
Arsha, we re the BEST wait and see
Mo...
Arsha will be the best for this season. Actually, he is. He can score even if he plays in the defence. He is incredible. I wish he has the same success with the Russian team (losing to Slovenia does not give any credit to Arshavin). Go well Andrey - ARMENIA SUPPORTS YOU.
