  • Live Commentary

    Time:90'
    • Aberdeen
    • Rangers
    • FT And there is the final whistle - it goes at a similar time at Tannadice. Celtic are the champions and it has been a miserable night for Rangers here at Pittodrie.
    • 90' Into stoppage time here now.
    • 88 Great reception for former Rangers man Barry Nicholson from the home fans. He has been superb tonight - with Derek Young coming on.
    • 85' Both teams just going through the motions here now - everybody knows that the title is heading to Celtic Park.
    • 80' Kris Boyd drags a shot well wide from a free-kick.
    • 79' It goes from bad to worse for Rangers as Novo is sent-off for an x-rated tackle on Duff.
    • 77' ANOTHER GOAL FOR ABERDEEN - with Rangers short at the back Miller flicks the ball on this time and Mackie is there to fire home from close Rangers.
    • 74' Rangers continue to press but this seems like an impossible task now. They need two and even then, they would still need for Dundee United to score an equaliser against Celtic.
    • 71' And it has all gone very quiet among the Rangers fans because Celtic have taken the lead against Dundee United. The title looks to be on its way to Celtic Park.
    • 69' Aberdeen make a change Smith is on for Maguire.
    • 68' Rangers now need a two-goal swing - they are really looking to throw the kitchen sink at the moment. It is time to panic.
    • 65' Just before the goal - Rangers swapped their strikers with Boyd and Novo coming on for Cousin and Darcheville. Boyd has almost got in already but Langfield came out to deny him.
    • 63' GOAL FOR ABERDEEN - MILLER !! A simple goal - the striker heads a free from Barry Nicholson into the net after finding some space. Rangers have looked vulnerable at set-plays today and they have now paid a MASSIVE price.
    • 61' WHAT A CHANCE FOR ABERDEEN - again a corner causes Rangers some problems. Diamond gets in a header - it falls to Duff six-yards out but he completely mis-hits his shot and it goes well wide.
    • 58' Barry Ferguson is getting more and more into this game as he looks to drive his side forward - Rangers are upping the urgency a bit now.
    • 54 Darcheville with a long ball and then Ferguson nicks it past Diamond - he is a bit off balance but he gets a shot away. However, Langfield gets down well to save. So tense here.
    • 50 Rangers looking to make things happen - Ferguson launches a long throw into the box but Langfield just sticks his big arms up to gather.
    • 47' GREAT SAVE BY ALEXANDER - poor defending by Rangers from a long ball and it comes out to Miller who tries a snap shot which is flying for the goal only for Alexander to beat it away.
    • 46' We are underway here at Pittodrie and the Celtic game kicks off about 30 seconds later.
    • 45 And there is the half-time whistle at Pittodrie - it is still all to play for.
    • 44' Rangers give the ball away cheaply and Aberdeen can launch a counter-attack but the chance goes when Mackie blazes a cross wide and over.
    • 41' Rangers with a free-kick in a great central area 25 yards out. Thompson and Adam are over it. It is Adam who takes it but it goes MILES OVER. Great chance - terrible free-kick.
    • 39' Alexander has to be brave to come out and clear a through ball after it looked for a minute as if Miller might be through.
    • 37' Barry Ferguson misses a chance as he can't turn in a cross from Darcheville.
    • 34' Rangers big problem so far has been holding the ball up front despite the fact that they have two powerful strikers up there. Aberdeen doing as much attacking as Rangers - maybe even more.
    • 30' Rangers don't really look like scoring one let alone five or six tonight. I think we can rule out the Rangers winning the league by goal difference option.
    • 28' Another Aberdeen corner comes in and Diamond escapes his man but he can only half hit a shot into the ground and Alexander gathers.
    • 24' Gasp in the crowd every once in awhile that have nothing to do with what is going at Pittodrie - they are following the Celtic match. Still 0-0 in that game too - but it has been quite open with both teams having chances.
    • 21' The balls falls to Stuart Duff 25 yards out in plenty of space. He fires an excellent low drive but it whistles just wide of the post.
    • 19' Ferguson cuts the defence with a great ball for Darcheville - he is a little wide though and his first touch brings him wider. He gets a shot away but Langfield saves it into the side-netting from a tough angle. It probably would have gone wide anyway.
    • 15' Half-chance for Aberdeen as Mackie runs onto a Duff cross but side-foots over from just inside the Rangers box.
    • 12' The game has settled down a bit now - Rangers a bit better but very competitive.
    • 9' Carlos Cuellar is left unmarked at the back post from a Rangers corner and the ball falls to him. He gets a half-volley on target but without much power Langfield is able to bat it away. Rangers getting on top now.
    • 8' Rangers now having their first little spell of pressure - they had a half chance there as Darchville put a low cross in from inside the box but Davis was bundled off the ball as he looked to shoot.
    • 7' All the early pressing is from Aberdeen here - they have already had a couple of corners and Rangers look nervy at the back.
    • 4' A bit of head tennis in the Rangers box after an Aberdeen corner but the ball ends safely in the arms of Neil Alexander.
    • 3' Tackles flying in already - Aberdeen look as much up for this as Rangers - but no chances as of yet.
    • 1' But we are now up and running at Pittodrie.
    • - They have been ready for awhile to get underway at Pittodrie but they have had to wait for action to get underway at Tannadice.
    • - A rousing minutes silence for Tommy Burns at Pittodrie - Very nice to hear Rangers and Aberdeen fans showing their respect for a Celtic legend.
    • - Rangers have gone for power up front with Daniel Cousin partnering Jean-Claude Darcheville up front. Nacho Novo is only on the bench. Find the full teams below.
    • - Welcome to Pittodrie - Most Rangers fans will have their ears glued to the radio or their phone looking from updates from Celtic's match - but it is all likely to mean nothing if they can't beat Aberdeen.
