    Time:90'
    • Rangers
    • Aberdeen
    • 90+3' The final whistle goes and Rangers are three points clear at the top of the SPL, at least until Celtic play Hibs on Sunday.
    • 90+1' John Fleck bursts into the box from the left and strikes, but Langfield is off his line and spreads himself well to block the effort.
    • 88' This match is winding down now - Rangers seem happy that they have done enough while Aberdeen have lost the impetus to push for an equaliser, no matter how much Jimmy Calderwood screams from the sidelines.
    • 85' Fleck floats in a diagonal ball for Novo to volley.. the Spaniard doesn't quite get his strike right, and it bounces wide of the target.
    • 83' Javan Vidal comes off for Chris Maguire - it was Stuart duff who came on earlier - as Aberdeen make their final change.
    • 80' Kyle Lafferty gets a big ovation as he is replaced by John Fleck for Rangers.
    • 77' GOAL!! Aberdeen has got one back, and it's Michael Paton! McDonald finds Paton in the area with his back to goal, and the substitute wriggles past two Gers defenders and slots a close-range finish past Alexander!
    • 74' Gary McDonald is played clean through and strikes from the edge of the area... Off the top of the bar! That was a great chance of the Dons to get back into this game.
    • 71' That second Gers goal is significant, because it puts them level on goal difference with Celtic, although the Bhoys have scored six more as it stands.
    • 70' Ranges a rampant now, and they flood men forward again. The ball loops up in the air and Novo goes for the overhead kick, but it's easy for Langfield.
    • 68' GOAL!! Rangers have got a second! A corner comes in and Kenny Miller glances a header into the top corner with ease! Again Foster is at fault, he was the man marking Miller but just let him step away and win the header.
    • 66' GOAL!! Rangers get the opener, and it's cruel on Aberdeen! Kenny miller curls in a cross from the left looking for Novo and Richard Foster slides in to block but only succeeds in steering it past his own keeper!
    • 64' Aberdeen make a second change: Paton on for Miller.
    • 62' Here come's that double change for Rangers: Mendes and Boyd off for Ferguson and Novo.
    • 60' Miller fires a fierce shot on goal that Langfield gets down well to palm away! Boyd just doesn't reach it on the follow-up.
    • 59' Peter Pawlett is replaced by Chris Maguire for Aberdeen.
    • 58' Miller curls in a cross that skips across the six-yard box for LAFFERTY... The forward was put off his stride just enough to turn his shot wide!
    • 57' Cries for a penalty go up all around the ground, but in truth Kenny Miller was dispossessed by a perfectly good challenge from Mair.
    • 56' Rangers have got their tails up now, and the crowd are getting behind them. Miller is dropping ever deeper in search of the ball.
    • 55' The delivery comes in and Miller is up, but Scott Severin gets his head to it first to make a timely interception. The Dons skipper has been immense today.
    • 54' Rangers build down the right and Lafferty strikes... deflected off a defneder for a corner.
    • 51' Mendes curls in a cross with the outside of his boot but Kenny Miller is not quite quick enough to get on to it.
    • 50' Walter Smith has sent Nacho Novo and Barry Ferguson for a jog down the touchline. Expect to see at least of them in the near future.
    • 48' A much higher-paced start to this half than the first, with both sides now fighting to correct their own injustices.
    • 46' The second half is underway. Will this match prove to be a major stumbling block in Rangers' title bid?
    • 45'+3 Half-time is called. A highly controversial 45 minutes that could have huge implications for the title race.
    • 45'+2 Maurice Edu goes chasing after the ball down the right wing, but it's another great tackle from Severin to thwart him.
    • 45' Two minutes of injury time are signalled.
    • 44' Looking again at the replays of Bougherra's challenge, it's hard to argue he meant to catch Langfield, it looks as though he was going for the ball. However, both teams have lost a defender unfairly, so perhaps two wrongs have made a right in this case.
    • 42' Peter Pawlett has time on the edge of the box to look up and curl an effort towards the top corner that's tipped round the post by Alexander! Good save from the Rangers keeper.
    • 41' That straight red for violent conduct will rule Bougherra out of the final game of the seaosn at dundee United.
    • 39' NOW BOUGHERRA GETS HIS MARCHING ORDERS! The Rangers defender slid in to challenge Langfield and his boot caught the goalkeeper's face. Referee Stuart Dougall does not hesitate when presented with the chance to atone for his earlier error, and it's now 10 v 10!
    • 38' Pedro Mendes dinks a ball over the defence for Miller to chase, but the Scotland international is just beaten to the ball by Langfield.
    • 36' Lafferty continues to get abused by the away fans and cheered by his own every time he touches the ball. The forward has had a good game so far, but the red card incident looks as though it will define this game.
    • 34' Papac is denied by the goal frame again! This time the defender steers Edu's cross from the left on to the outside of the post. Finally some noise is being made at Ibrox.
    • 32' Mendes nods the ball back to Davis on the edge of the box. The Ulsterman fires a shot that deflects off the shin of Papac... OFF THE POST!! Langfield was beaten by the bounce there.
    • 31' Papac's cross from deep finds Miller onside out on the wing. Rangers beginning the play with more purpose now.
    • 30' The corner goes all the way to Weir at the back post, but the veteran defender can't control and when he finally digs out a cross it's headed clear.
    • 29' Lafferty turns and skilfully controls with his chest, and his deflected cross wins a corner.
    • 28' The Dons are still struggling the make it far out of their own half. Rangers are still yet to really test Jamie Langfield.
    • 27' Vidal goes sliding in stud up on Papac in midfield, and quite rightly gets a booking.
    • 25' Rangers are starving Aberdeen of the ball, putting together a dozen passes before Miller fails to beat Mair.
    • 24' Vidal sends a diagonal cross into the Rangers box, but Alexander collects.
    • 22' Suffice it to say, Jimmy Calderwood does not look a happy bunny on the touchline! That incident has taken whatever momentum the game had for the time being.
    • 20' Well, if Rangers needed any more advantage in this match, they've got it. No doubt there'll be plenty of inscenced Celtic fans watching their rivals benefit from a poor decision.
    • 18' MULGREW SENT OFF! Lafferty tackles Mulgrew from behind, and as the defender squares up to him Lafferty goes down as if he's been head butted! The referee breaks up the fracas and gives Mulgrew his marching orders, before booking Lafferty for the original foul!
    • 16' Itr has to be said that the Ibrox atmosphere has been rather muted thus far. This game needs a good chance to spice things up.
    • 15' First bit of nice play by Aberdeen through the midfield, but Foster's through-ball doesn't make it through.
    • 14' Kenny Miller is making a real nuisance of himself against Mair, but somehow Aberdeen end up with a goal kick.
    • 13' Aberdeen clear the corner, which could have been a lot better to be honest.
    • 12' Lafferty battles his way down the wing past Vidal, checks his run on to his right boot and strikes... corner.
    • 11' Langfield gets down well at his near post to stop a cross from Miller reaching Boyd in the centre of the area.
    • 10' Aluko gets down the right wing and cuts back in past Papac and Weir, but his cross is too high for Miller.
    • 8' Rangers, typically, have bossed the opening stages. aberdeen will need to force the issue if they still have real European ambitions.
    • 6' A header back across the box from Lafferty finds no one. As Aberdeen try to mount a break, Papac is there to tidy up.
    • 5' Lafferty turns on the corner of the box and sets up a strike for Edu that is sliced high into the stands.
    • 3' Davis slips through a well-weighted through-ball for Kenny Miller to chase into the box... great sliding tackle by Scott Severin to dispossess the striker.
    • 2' Dons win a free-kick out on the right. The delivery is curling towards Severin but is headed clear.
    • 1' Referee Dougall blows his whistle and the match begins. Here's how the league table looks right now.
    • 12:29 The players are out, and we're about to get underway at Ibrox...
    • 12:28 Midfielder Mark Kerr is back from suspension for the Dons, he will shield a patched-up back four.
    • 12:26 Rangers have striker Kenny Miller and defender Sasa Papac fit again, while Kyle Lafferty also returns to the starting line-up.
    • 12:25 The penultimate round of the SPL kicks off with Rangers hosting Aberdeen. The Gers are level on points with Celtic, who face a tough trip to Hibs on Sunday.
  • Summary

    • 77' GOAL!! Aberdeen has got one back, and it's Michael Paton! McDonald finds Paton in the area with his back to goal, and the substitute wriggles past two Gers defenders and slots a close-range finish past Alexander!

  2. Just as I suspected. Willie Law is a part time Rangers supporter. He claims to be at all the games home and away. The match finished at around 2.20pm yesterday and Wullie posted a comment (no 124) at 2.39pm. There is absolutely no way that he made it from Ibrox to Motherwell in 19 minutes, run up the stairs to his minky flat, turn on his Windows 95 PC which takes 15 minutes to warm up, connect to his dial up internet and then type in his comment and spell check it. Wullie. You are a fraud. You've been found out. You watched the game on Setanta (through your neighbours window, cos you can't afford Setanta) and kidded us on that you were at the game. You and Billy are having an affair aren't you? Oh yes you are!!! You and Billy are a pair of bigoted ho-mos pretending to be macho cos you've no mates. You spout on about the BNP and GSTQ but you're a couple of fairies. BNP stands for Bigoted Nancyboy P-o-o-f-t-e-r-s and QSTQ stands for God Save The Queens. Oh yeah!!!!
Pass it on everybody. Wullie and Billy are a couple of ho-mos who don't actually support rangers. They just don't have any mates.

  3. Eion, why the card for Lafferty? two footed straight leg challenge from behind (should have been a red). typical dodgy refereeing. Boyd in sun says refs are against them cos they've had 3 decisions against them this season. what about the 30 decions for them? Rangers always play with at least 12 players
