    Time:90'
    • Internazionale
    • Chievo
    • 90'+3 It's all over, and Inter's players, coaches and fans breathe a collective sigh of relief. Before today Chievo had only netted seven times in Serie A this season, but they've managed two against the division's best side. Great going from the basement club, but Inter take the points.
    • 90'+2 Mourinho has calmed right down now, and has regained the composure that gives him his icy facade. He was starting to wonder for a minute what was going with his team...
    • 90' Three extra minutes to play. And the way things are going we could easily see a couple more goals - not to mention a few more bookings!
    • 88' ANOTHER GOAL FOR IBRAHIMOVIC! Just as Inter look to have squandered a gilt-edged chance to bury the match as Stankovic can't get on the end of it, the ball is cleared as far as Zanetti. He crosses back in for Ibrahimovic, who thunders his second goal in ten minutes with a stunning right-foot volley into the top-left corner.
    • 85' Yellow cards flying left right and centre as the ref is shoved by a group of Chievo players. There's one for Yepes for the visitors and one for Ibrahimovic as well, as the goal scorer gets a bit too involved in the subsequent finger pointing for his own good.
    • 82' Zanetti charges up to the Chievo penalty box and is clear on goal - AND HE'S CHOPPED DOWN!!! IT'S A RED CARD FOR MORERO! What a shame for this plucky Chievo side, it's all gone now and with Inter still coming at them any further goals are only going to be from home side.
    • 78' Some tired legs now as Inter keep on coming at Chievo, creating chance after chance - AND IT'S THERE! 3-2 INTER! A looping cross in from Zanetti gives Ibrahimovic a free header - once the big striker has shoved his marker to the floor, that is - and nods past the helpless Sorrentino, who wafts in vain at the ball with his left glove.
    • 75' Inter keep coming, with a free kick from the touchline almost finding Muntari but being well kncoked away by Sorrentino. As the ball is looped back in Stankovic heads AND MUST SCORE... but once again the Chievo keeper saves his team.
    • 72' Mourinho throws on a couple of subs as he chases the win - Inter clearly realise that a draw will be just as humiliating as a loss, so are going for broke. Sure makes for good entertainment!
    • 68' Inter start throwing everything at Chievo, who suddenly go from chasing the equaliser - which was thoroughly well-deserved - and the league strugglers suddenly find themselves firefighting to avoid conceding a winner. they can't stop Inter's Mario Balotelli from getting on the end of ball, unmarked, in the six-yard box... but amazingly the striker falls over the ball!!!
    • 65' AND CHIEVO HAVE EQUALISED AGAINST THE SERIE A LEADERS! The move down the left from Marcolini was picked up by Frey, who put in a great cross into the six-yard box which Simone Bentivoglio almost tripped over but still somehow bumbled into the net. 2-2!
    • 63' Mourinho is not a happy man. Not one given to Cheshire cat grinning at the best of times, I don't think I've ever seen him grimace as much, or as gruesomely, as in the space of a week. First Bremen, now Chievo making his superstars look ordinary.
    • 61' FOUL! What the hell is Luciano playing at? He steers himself backwards into Muntari as the Inter man makes a run. He could very easily have been booked - or worse - for such a crude bit of play like that. The last thing Chievo need now is to lose one of their best players.
    • 58' Chievo sense that this might be their chance, and bring the slightly struggling Langella off on the left for Esposito.
    • 57' Inter sense the danger, and come back hard - but they can't make anything of it, and Chievo nearly hit them on the break. Luciano charges down the right and puts in a great ball to Pellissier, who doesn't quite get enough on it.
    • 54' Chances for Chievo go begginf as Langella's successive crosses first get cut out short and then fly over the area - but the boys in yellow are making a game of it. Things look well balanced at the San Siro. Could the league leaders really drop points here?
    • 51' Chievo almost get one back - Cesar spills a regulation cross and almost lets Luciano get it - BUT THEN FROM THE CLEARANCE PELLISIER FIRES IN! He had space and time to unleash his 30-yard rocket, and gave Cesar no chance.
    • 47' GOAL!!! A stunning move from Inter, started by Obinna's charging run up the right wing, followed by a cross that's flicked on by the left-heel of Ibrahimovic into the path of Stankovic, who thunders in like a bullet train and unleashes an unstoppable left-foot rocket into the bottom left corner. Inter had been pushing non-stop since the restart, but who'd have thought the goal would come so quickly or in such style?
    • 46' Back under way, and it looks like Mourinho has given his boys a major kick up the backside at half-time. They are running around like mad things trying to get a second.
    • - Udinese are two up at home against Lazio - for details of scorers, and all the rest of today's Serie A matches, click the "View today's live games" link on the right.
    • 45'+2 Another card there, and this time it's yellow for Inter's Stankovic who chops down Sergio Pellissier with the old-leg-behind-his-leg-and-pull-him-backwards trick. There were meant to be a fairly stingy three extra minutes, but they're cut a little short by the red satin ref. He probably just can't be bothered to book anybody else.
    • 45' A fairly nice natured match has become a little nasty natured now, with Chievo's Morero being booked for a tackle - well, a trip really - on Obinna. That was just a few seconds after Muntari got the same treatment for his hack.
    • 43' The ball comes into the Chievo area and IBRAHIMOVIC CONTROLS IT BEAUTIFULLY! HE MUST SHOOT! NO, apparently not, instead he dances around for a while trying to get past every defender in the box before he does so. And then he loses it. Ho hum.
    • 40' A few tackles going in here and there now, with Obinna getting his own back on Yepes for the swipe that put paid to his attempt on goal a few moments ago - an attempt which would surely have been a cross had the striker had anyone in support.
    • 36' Chievo build up another move that leads to a good cross in from Luciano which, amazingly, is cut out in mid-air by Samuel doing an inverted scissor kick. It's not uncommon to see attackers getting all Jean-Claude Van Damme on the ball, but when you see a defender doing it you know you're looking at a team that's a cut above.
    • 34' Maxwell goes to the floor after a big challenge, but the ref waves play on with a theatrical wave of his arm. Which, combined with the red satin garb the Italian officials are wearing these days, makes him look like some sort of ballet-mad Cardinal.
    • 31' Ibrahimovic goes close!! From just outside the centre circle - seriously - the Inter striker booms a shot that appears to still be accelerating as it whistles just wide of the right post. The keeper would probably have got there, but at that sort of cruise missile-speed it may well have decapitated him had it made contact.
    • 29' Cambiasso - who, we can officially confirm, was separated at birth from Andy Johnson of Fulham and England fame - puts in a nice free kick to a crowded area. It's well cleared by the defence.
    • 26' STUNNING SAVE BY SORRENTINO! A great move by Inter sees Muntari put in a perfect loopin cross to a flying Maxwell at the far post, whose diving header is scooped away by the single paw of a backwards-diving Sorrentino in the Chievo goal. Victor Obinna follows up, but the defence finish the job for the keeper. Wonderful stuff on both sides.
    • 25' Chievo make a brave run through the middle, with Lucianio rolling the ball across to Pellessier who is cut down in front of the ref. Seems a bit of a tough one, but the man in black waves play on.
    • 22' Other than the goal Chievo look pretty good at the back so far - but then that's been the story of their season. They've not been as leaky as their peers, but they've only found the net seven times in 15 league matches up til today.
    • 19' Muntari fires in a long-range effort despite being a good 40 yards from the Chievo goal, but there's no danger for the keeper as it soars over.
    • 18' Ibrahimovic may look like a refugee from an '80s soft metal band - and is it just me or are his tattoos multiplying? - but he's clearly the danger man as far as Chievo's back four are concerned. They're marking him out of the game so far, and dumping him on his backside every chance they get.
    • 16' Inter win a corner after Cambiasso's long-range effort ricochets off a defender. It's punched out by the keeper and headed back in by Walter Samuel - only for the whistle to blow for a well-worked offside trap.
    • 13' Chievo look a bit stunned, but with nothing to lose it's good to see them getting stuck in. Right winger Luciano makes a couple of darting runs down the right, while Sergio Pellissier has a go at creating something through the middle - only to find Inter's box stuffed with six or seven blue and black shirts.
    • 11' A lovely passing move by Inter finally comes to Ibrahimovic, who juggles and volleys - but the shot is well blocked by Chievo centre-back Morero.
    • 8' HANDBALL BY CHIEVO!! Surely!!! But no, the ref gives a corner to one of the most blatant handlings you'll ever see, as Mantovani pats he ball to the ground. The ref was on the wrong side of the player to pick that one up, but what was the linesman thinking?
    • 5' Inter seem to be in party mode already now, spraying the ball around and having fun. It's a Sunday afternoon kickabout.
    • 3' GOAL!!!!! The first time Inter spend any time at all on the ball, and it's Maxwell who makes a fantastic run down the left to pick up a ball from Stankovic. He charges towards the goal, gets surrounded by defenders, then cuts back inside and thumps a right-footed shot into the roof of the net. Fantastic goal, and Inter are away.
    • 3' Surprisingly, it's Chievo who make the best of the early exchanges, forcing a corner in the second minute - easily cleared by Inter's thee-man defence.
    • 1' Chievo take the kick off to get the match going. They're looking less like lambs to the slaughter than canaries to the coalmine. I've not seen such bright yellow kits since Liverpool's second strip back in the 1980s.
    • - Having said that, Inter's last two matches in the Champions League ought to have been a chance for them to cruise through at the top of their group. Instead, they lost to Panathinaikos and Bremen, so who knows what might happen?
    • - On the face of it, this match should be an opportunity for Jose Mourinho's men to improve their goal difference. Inter are six points clear at the top of Serie A, while Chievo are three points adrift at the foot of the table having won just two games this season.
