The Inzaghi hat-trick might have been three of the easiest goals he'll ever score, but you can't argue with a 3-0 scoreline on the balance of the day, despite Atalanta coming close several times in the first half.     • 17' Pato catches Talamonti with his boots as he goes under a tackle, but the big Atalanta defender had fouled. Free kick to Milan... Pirlo has a crack - from over 30 yards - but it's high and left of the top corner.
    • 16' Cracking chance Milan! Becks picks up the ball just outside the box, but generously passes when he'd have been within his rights to shoot. Inzaghi looks to be through, but the flag was up.

    • 14' A lengthy build-up from Atalanta culminates in a woeful pass from Gyorgy Garics to Ferreira Pinto - it gives the winger no chance at all.

    • - We're just over ten minutes from kick-off in Milan's Serie A clash with Atalanta - and the big news is that David Beckham's loan extension has been signed, sealed and delivered. The Englishman will stay in Serie A until the end of the season, then head back to LA as the MLS season begins in July.
